So here is an honest updated review..... I swore I'd never go back in...... but it's been about a year, and I could see they had done some renovations to the place so I decided to give it a shot... WOW What a difference!! The atmosphere was nice, calm, relaxed...... my wait was 10-15 mins on a Sunday afternoon, my rep was VERY friendly and KNOWLEDGEABLE, which in my book is really a necessity if you're going to be assisting customers. I wish I could give no stars. I hate comcast, I have for years because of bad personal service and the customer service I did not receive. I recently bought a business and needed phone service. I was approached from a sales tech for Comcast who swore up and down comcast has changed and it would be a different experience. A month and a half in, 4 installation days, and still no service, no number AND NO DATE ON WHEN IT WOULD BE FIXED! I am a month away from opening and still have no number. They stated they ran lines when they didn't. They are ok with hiring incompetent people from 3rd parties who lie about doing installs.. WORST SERVICE EVER! Only open for 5 hours on Sundays and you have to wait in 'line' regardless of whether or not you are swapping boxes and remotes, or have an hour long problem. So I came in and had 9 people ahead of me, and waited for almost an hour to swap out my remote and box for a newer one. There should be a customer service station for equipment only. Went to this location for problems I was having with my phone service and was obviously unable to call support. Wasted an hour only for the tech to tell me to call a phone number. Couldn't tell me how the service got messed up. Couldn't call someone in another department. Gave me a business card and told me to call the number. So I went to my mothers to use her phone and the number on the card never picked up. No human. No machine. No VM. read more

As usual customer service is beyond poor. There are three employees working and at least 20 people waiting. The wait times are lengthy , beyond an hour at this point. No one explained anything to me. The manager wouldn't even talk directly to me when I had a question. Employee at one point said "yes sir " to me but I clearly identify as female lmao they're falling apart. Not a fan. Service jumped significantly in price after my contract expired, not the fault of the store, but they didn't make the pill any easier to swallow. I set up a new Xfinity account and chose to do the self-install so I went to the store to pick up my equipment. They refused to give me the equipment because the account had my fiancee's name listed as primary (yet it had MY email, phone number, and billing info). However, I am listed as an authorized user with full access on the account. I asked if I could call my fiancee so she could give verbal permission, and the xfinity employee said yes, but then changed her mind as soon as my fiancee got on the phone. I asked to speak to the manager and he was rude and disrespectful and told me to get the h*ll out of his store. My fiancee then called customer service to get it sorted out and they confirmed I am allowed to pick up the modem. I called the police to accompany me back into the building because I knew the manager was going to cause a scene again. The police officer had the manager pull up the account info and it of course showed that I AM an authorized user. So the officer asked the manager to give me my equipment, but get this...HE STILL SAID NO...claiming I was banned from the store which meant he legally didn't have to give me anything and he would mail it. I'm inclined to think that this was a hate crime, because everything was fine until they found out my fiancee was a woman. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and contacted corporate. Apparently this isn't the first time this has happened. read more

I am still in the store while writing this review. I have been waiting 2 hours and only 4 names have been called. Even those names were called by the same person. Only one out of the four people working there have been through any customers at all. For 2 hours straight there has been a line at the door to even been checked in. After these two hours, 75% of the people being served are the same as the ones I saw when I first walked in. Most disappointing is the fact that there are 9 service desks, and only 5 people working in the entire store. read more

When I asked to disconnect my service after my business closed, I was told that I had to continue paying for 60 days even after we had stopped using the service. This bites!! Add me to the list of people who would give this business less than one star if possible. We needed to reduce our monthly bill and decided to cut out a few of the so-called "premium" channels. We explained this to the rep who instead kept offering us packages with even more premium channels instead of fewer. And, of course, at a minimal savings or even higher price. After several tries we finally convinced her we were interested in decreasing our bill, not increasing it. That's when we were informed in a less than courteous, professional manner that this had to be done via phone, she couldn't do it there. We felt this was a pile of what the male bovine left in the pasture but couldn't prove otherwise. It was much later when we found that the rep was quite capable of adjusting the service to our needs but since it wouldn't earn her anything she didn't want to do it. So in the end the rep got nothing out of the interaction other than an annoyed customer. What purpose that served is beyond me. I arrived at your store in York at 9:45 am Tuesday 11/12/19 I knew you did not open until 10am but wanted to be one of the first in so not to waste any time . While I was waiting in my car a woman tried the door and it was locked, she looked all over the glass for a list of hours, nothing showing when you open and close. It would not take much effort to display hours on the door, etc. Second issue making people wait in the cold while many people lined up to get in, you could open a little early, your associates were drinking coffee and standing around, but you opened on the dot of 10am. Third , try smiling it goes along way, your people don't look happy. I've been to your store before and it is not the best experience, as one woman in line told me, it is like this all the time , she hates coming to your store. I can't begin to express my aggravation with Xfinity Mobile. We switched to the service earlier this year because of cost (which was much lower than Verizon). Recently, I have "tried" to buy a new iPhone but it is virtually impossible. First I tried the store in Whitemarsh MD and the sales associate had the phone in her hand ringing it up at the register and then told me "sorry, the phones are not in our inventory, so I can't sell it to you. We will have to ship one to you instead". Shipping is inconvenient for me because of my travel schedule. Even though she had it in her hand, I couldn't get it. Then, a couple of weeks later, I went to the store in Wyomissing. Even though I am authorized on the account, they would not sell it to me there because my husband (who is the main contact on our HOME service), was not with me. He also told me he could ship it to me. So, I had my ID with me at the store and I am authorized on the account, but they want to ship it to me. It is so maddening. Going elsewhere for my service and recommend everyone else do the same. read more

Called Comcast today to cancel my router, phone and DVR service and said I wanted only Performance Starter Internet (6 mbts/sec) at $49.95. That speed and price had been quoted to me two days previously by a rep at the brick and mortar store to which I returned my Comcast router and DVR. The rep on the phone, who said she worked for "corporate," told me the Performance Starter service is no longer available and said they only offer 4 speeds - Basic, at 3/mbts, Pro Internet at 75/mbts, and two faster ones. She said the cheapest one that would meet my needs is Pro Internet, which costs $76/mo. I protested that I'd been in a Comcast store only two days previously, and been quoted the Performance Starter option at $49.95/mo. She insisted that speed is no longer available. I started talking about Comcast's reputation for shoddy practices, the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, and my lawyer. She stood firm and I reluctantly agreed to the $76 service, but said I was not going to let the matter drop. She called me back a couple of minutes later and said Comcast wanted me to be "happy" so she would give me the Performance Starter at $49.95 after all. I doubt this situation resulted from a simple failure in corporate communication. I think it was a deliberate ploy to get more $$ out of someone who was downgrading their service. read more

Beware of lying sales reps. We placed an order for a SD double play and the sales rep "graciously" said he would give a the DVR because it is the same cost whether we got the standard cable box (which is free) or the DVR. After a couple days, we received the bill, which had 2 charges associated with the DVR totaling $20/month. I called back in and was told that the first sales rep should not have told me that because the bill is correct and that I will need to return the DVR and ask the bill to be backdated so I wouldn't be charged the fee. This required another trip to Comcast. I complained to the sales rep in the store and she said she would report it to her supervisor but nothing would probably come of it. I also spoke to someone I know who works for Comcast and that person said this is a common practice. Sales reps get a commission for selling additional products, like a DVR, and as long the customer keeps it for 24 hours, the sales rep gets the commission, regardless of a dissatisfied customer. I was also told that the ONLY disincentive for the sales reps is the POSSIBILITY of a verbal "don't do that again" by a supervisor. This is a fraudulent practice and a company that supposedly prides itself on improving customer service should be ashamed. I understand that there will always be unethical employees, but the company should have policies that penalize or terminate those employees. This type of behavior is disgraceful. read more
