The mart is super tiny and compact but impressively stocked with Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Indian, and Middle Eastern groceries (less fresh produce). Things that caught my eye was the extensive selection of Middle Eastern spices, Asian snacks and drinks, and liquor. I didn't walk down the liquor aisle so I have no idea if it was Asian liquor. Overall, a great spot to grab affordable Asian snacks and cold drinks. It's located in the heart of Davis' downtown amongst the lively hubbub.

You can find some fresh produce, like Chinese Broccoli (gai lan), green onions, lettuce, cabbage, bean sprouts, and Korean radish. You can find frozen sliced meat for Hot Pot. There are aisles of Asian snacks and instant noodles. I saw a section of crunchy chili garlic and an aisle with Japanese curry blocks. There are fridges of prepackaged banchan or Korean appetizers. I also found $3.99 Vegetable Japchae in another fridge. You can also find packages of frozen Korean dumplings, tteokbokki, and potato mozzarella corn dogs. I heard customers talking about what they usually buy there and another customer expressing gratitude for the store being there. You can find a little bit of every Asian ingredient here.

Store was clean, I did find a larger variety of Soju than I normally have seen , so I picked up a bottle of the Melon Soju for $5.50, which seems about par for prices I have seen in other stores for other Soju. I also bought a couple of 10 packs of snacking Nori that were on sale for $4 The counter was staffed by a couple of young adults , seemed maybe college age, who asked if I found what I was looking for . For a very brief moment of my life, I would visit someone who lived near and attended UC Davis, but…read morethat part of my life has long past. Either way, this was a neat stop that we went to during one of my visits. It's small, but it fulfills a niche without making the residents of Davis have to meander out to San Jose or the like to go to a Japanese market. There's imported Japanese household goods, anime and kawaii merchandise and trinkets, snacks, drinks, a LOT of Gunpla and model kits, manga, stationery, instant noodles, condiments, furikake, mochi and other ice cream, cosmetics, apparel, and much more. There's also some hot and fresh foods like baked buns, etc. Cool that they added several different floors and support the Japanese community there as there's classes too. An oasis in the middle of Davis of all places. Perfect for the weeb college student or any one else who lives there.

I guess I'll make more Suman, make Samgaetang, make Igado with the Halal beef liver, and make a delectable batch of Cioppino, too. As always, I'm discovering new foods found at KP International Market such as a large selection of Lavash bread. In addition, I was shocked discovering the Organic King Oyster Mushrooms' price skyrocketed to $7.49-a major disappointment. Meanwhile, the Seafood Service Employees were on top of their game serving countless throngs of customers' orders. Pertaining to KP International Market's ambiance, it was quiet for such a large space, well-organized, and clean which is the primary reason returning month after month, year after year.

I regularly stop in to pick up treats, drinks, produce like mushrooms and okra, and their poke and hot meal options. I also like their home goods sections with so many cool ramen bowls, sauce containers, and utensils. I'm always excited when I stop in when it's slower because I can take my time browsing. Whenever this happens I end up leaving with a lot more items. I appreciate that they carry a wide variety of items including some ingredients and items that are hard to find in the US and even at other Asian grocery stores. I've stopped into many different stores and I feel like Oto's has variety and quality at a great price. They do have their own parking, but be careful because it can be pretty tight and there's usually a good amount of cars coming in and out.

Products range from Japanese dishes, snacks, rice, tea, sauces, meats, frozen items, and even fresh sashimi and prepared salads. Near the register they usually have fresh mochi available too. It is such a treat to stop by and see what's in stock.
