I came here and she used a combination of acupuncture using some electric hand held thing (instead of needles), and some method to decrease her flare ups which I won't describe here because I think you just have to try it. My muscle tightness was the result of walking the weekend under hot weather and sitting long hours working and watching from a chair. I haven't been exercising for awhile because I'm exhausted from work. Off to the acupuncture clinic to fix my thighs and legs. First step, I get an acupressure massage to relieve some of the tightness before the cupping. Once the cupping was done, then the needles came. Needles are fine and they don't hurt. Just a prick. At the end of the session, I saw how dark the cupping circles were. My acupuncturist was surprised how bad of a shape I was in. I feel some relief that I'm able to get up from my chair without limping like before. Upon leaving, you're given herbal tea to help rid the toxin in your body. If you work long hours in front of a computer for a long time, your body will be in pain. Cupping and acupuncture helped me on my recoveries as I sit for long hours in front of a computer. During this time, I visited a local acupuncturist who healed me and regained my confidence that everything was going to be okay, which became reality. Since then, I have been a firm believer in the practice of acupuncture and the benefits that it can provide. Within the past couple weeks, I overstressed my nervous system again and started to feel symptoms similar to five years ago. In fear that I would be left debilitated again, I began looking for an acupuncture clinic nearby me. I found Lao Lao acupuncture on Yelp, and contacted Dr. Sarah over the phone and explained my symptoms even after their closing hours. We scheduled an appointment for the following day, where I met Dr. Sarah and Dr. Deborah who were very professional and spent half an hour pinpointing locations that I had issues with. During this period, Dr. Sarah treated my neck which led to a burst of tears, not from pain but from relief. I'm not sure if they realized at the time, but they continued the treatment and after putting in the last needle, I felt a HUGE wave of emotions that I've bottled over the years from fear and I couldn't hold back the tears anymore. The whole session was extremely therapeutic and cleansing, and since then my nerve pain has subsided and has become more manageable. Had acupuncture and cupping for the first time this evening for chronic migraines. The office lobby…read morewas warm and inviting when I walked in. There was no one at the desk at first, but one of the acupuncturists soon came out and checked me in. She showed me where the restrooms were, asked me to take a seat and said my acupuncturist would soon be with me. My acupuncturist asked me some health questions in the private room where I was to have my treatment. She listened and didn't dismiss anything I said like my regular doctor often does. Then she explained where she would be inserting the needles and why. She also went into detail about what I could expect during the session, which I appreciated. Most of the needle insertions were painless, but a few hurt a bit. The pain went away quickly. The acupuncturist turned out the lights and left the room as I laid on my back on the table with the needles in me. I couldn't feel them as long as I didn't move. I'm not sure how long I laid there, but it was very warm and relaxing with gentle music playing. I almost fell asleep. I had a button I could press if I needed help and the acupuncturist checked on me a couple times. She removed the needles and then had me rollover on to my stomach for cupping on my upper back to help with pain relief in my neck and shoulders. After the session my migraine was gone and my neck and shoulder pain had decreased. I made several more appointments and look forward to them.
