Xin Xin had never disappointed before and we always order the same thing. A full order of vegetable egg rolls and spicy noodle soap but today's was an exception. As you can see all of the egg rolls were over cooked and grease but one was fried beyond recognition. I don't understand how the cook could have served this plate to anyone. We could hear and see the cook coughing as she cooked without wearing a face mask protecting her guests from further contamination.

Cozy little restaurant in the same plaza as Tea Rush on 10th. Service is always great and I remember coming here when it was new some years back. Food is still excellent! These two dishes are my favorite. The sauce on the General Tso's could be a little thicker and it's be perfect. Beef Hofun is the bomb.com here. The order was definitely sharing size! The waitress/cashier is a sweet lady, very attentive. Come grab a bite and then for desert try the bakery next door or Tea Rush!

xin xin has super good food and service and very big good sized portions loved the food

Pad Thai & hot & sour soup

My hot & sour soup tasted old & my Pad Thai was nasty with a strong flavor. I brought my mom to eat for Mother's Day & this place was just not it!!!! Going to eat somewhere else because I hardly touched my food

Xin xin tofu. Basically deep fried tofu with minced pork n shrimps on top. It was delicious

What took me so long to finally check out this place?!?!?! Maybe it's the colorful sign and decorations outside that reminds me of the Americanized Asian restaurants I have been to and gotten disappointed with. It's a small restaurant that looks a little cluster when you first walk in. Just kinda pick the table you want, don't wait by the counter unless you order take out. I counted 3 servers plus the cashier. They were all very friendly. The waiter came over and asked me how I heard about the restaurant. He got very amused after I told him from Yelp. He was gonna tell me more about his work history with the restaurant, but my food came out, so he politely excused himself. Before I came to the restaurant, I already had a good idea what I wanted, based on the pictures and menu I saw on Yelp. I ordered the Hu Tieu Nam Vang/clear noodle soup with pork and seafood. On the menu, this item states to have pork liver, but I'm pretty sure since most people don't like liver (I'm one of those people), they have changed it to regular sliced pork and minced pork. The flavor is pretty close to the actual Hu Tieu Nam Vang that my mom makes. Not as good of course, but good enough for the valley and the price was reasonable at $7.95. Since it was my first time there, and my eyes are always bigger than my stomach, I also ordered the Xin Xin tofu. It's deep fried tofu top with minced pork and shrimp. The flavor was on point. I just wish it was less liquidy. They have a very extensive menu compares to all other Asian restaurants in the area, except for Hop Tung I believe (but Hop Tung is crap). I will definitely come back here more often to try out other items, especially when they are right next to my favorite boba place, 2 birds 1 stone! :)

I like the Kung pao...it's okay for me but my husband loves it. I really like the spring rolls though. My daughter ordered the Japanese yaku not really knowing what it was and ended up not eating it because the noodles had a strange texture and the sauce was strange too.

I was hoping for something better based on the reviews, but this was really nothing special (although I did find the food to be quite EDIBLE unlike some other Asian restaurants in the area). The restaurant is located in a new strip mall next to an Asian market and a tea house (I can't wait to check those out as well). The decor is modern, the ambiance pleasant and the service was okay, but the food was disappointing. Maybe it was what I ordered? The hot and sour soup was bland; too many of the snow peas in my "shrimp with snow peas" were marred with brown spots; I found a lovely, long, black hair in my food and my request for eggroll dipping sauce was met with hoisin sauce (Really? With an Asian market next door that's the best you can come up with? I didn't think it was that unusual of a request). On a positive note, the vegetables and the medium shrimp were cooked to perfection. The highlight was the triangular-shaped eggroll thing. Yummy. My favorite Asian restaurant back in Kansas called these "mandu" but I'm not sure what they call them here. Regardless, it was a welcome sight and a reason for me to return! I look forward to giving this place another shot and trying some other menu items. Hopefully my next visit will be more impressive.

This is what I almost bit into in my beef and Chinese vegetables dish from this place.

I called to report a1 inch piece of metal in my beef and Chinese vegetables dish and the owner laughed at me. Avoid!

I wouldn't even give this place a star. I have to apologize to everyone for not ensuring my review was noted on 5/25/16. When I had lunch there, my pad tai had a sautéed fly in it! Disgusting!!!!!! I even informed the staff there and they just removed the plate. Didn't ask if I wanted anything else, even-though I didn't. I was still charged for my meal. For some reason, I was reviewing my yelp app and came across my unfinished review of this place and noticed someone mentioned a roach in their food. I apologize again for not warning you. If you own a restaurant, be proud and make sure it's clean. Simple.

Its ok. Nothing special. Basically your typical Chinese food restaurant. The fried egg rolls are good. I had the lo mein shrimp, it was fine I still ate the left overs the next day. My husband had the pad Thai with pork and added curry, extra spicy. It wasn't really spicy (he still had to add sriracha to it) and couldn't really taste the curry. Sister had the chicken Udon Noodles and gave our a 3 out of 5 review on it. Brother got fried rice with shrimp and they loved it, said it had good flavor. I didn't think it was anything special, rice was very sticky. Waiter was nice and place was clean.

I just stopped by for pho because I have a cold. Now I'm worried of getting food poisoning. The herbs were wilted and not only not fresh but gone bad. The meat tasted old and smelled rancid. I've had plenty of pho (Hop Tung, Saigon, shack in mission), this was bad. I'm not trying to bash them but irresponsible. If they don't fix it , I'm never going again.

    Fried spring rolls. Tasty
    Ioc39 ..

I find this place pretty good for the valley. The price for the pho is reasonable, they don't scrimp on the veggies and the service is great. I got a spicy pho (resembles more of a bun bo hue) and it was pretty good. The fried spring rolls were also delicious and again they don't scrimp on the veggies. All said, this is a pretty solid place to get a Vietnamese fix. Although they don't have as diverse of a menu as I would hope for (they have the usual American Chinese food), this is a guaranteed great place. May I also add that they sell the most relatively affordable and tasty pho in the valley. (I'm looking at you pho 1 in Harlingen you awful awful horrible excuse of a restaurant).

I'll just cut to the chase and say this: this was the best Korean food I've ever had! I had Ja Jjang Myeong and bim- bab. They also served me several side dishes. I liked most of them. Some of them were a "why bother" type of thing. When I first walked in, a lady waved me to a table for eight. The furniture looked like they got their tables from a church fellowship hall. The chairs were folding chairs, also. the walls were decorated with K-pop posters. It was one of those places that had their piles of rice in the dining room. But, it felt really comfortable. They had two TVs showing Korean news. The lady who had waved me to the table, came and brought my kim-bab. I was shocked to see two rolls on the plate. They were huge. I expected one like I had had in San Antonio. She came back a little later with the Ja Jjang Myeong. It was in a huge silver bowl. It looked like a serving for four. As I stirred the noodles into the sauce, I saw that there were lots of chunks of pork and cubed potatoes, hiding in the sauce. The sauce was really tasty. It wasn't salty like the ones I've had in San Antonio. All in all, I have to say that bowl of Ja Jjang Myeong was a highlight of my culinary life! I liked that place so much, that I am probably going to go There for dinner this evening. The conference ends at 10 AM, so I have the rest of the day to myself. I'll do some exploring and head over there to try some other dishes. Everybody I saw from my chapter at the conference got to hear about my experience at the restaurant. I know that one member went there last night for dinner. She raved about it!

We were so excited to try a new Korean chicken place and this was such a let down…read more The chicken is very plain and unseasoned. There is nothing Korean about it. It is chicken you can get from any other chicken place. It is freshly made, but that is the only positive I have for the chicken. We tried the strips which were dry and the wings. 2/5 We tried the soy garlic and red hot spicy sauces. The soy garlic was an okay processed sauce. The red hot smelled and tasted like it is ketchup based, so for me, gross! It was supposed to be really spicy and it was not. 1/5 The curly fries were hot, fresh, and seasoned well. 4/5 The mandu was store bought gyoza and it did not come with a dipping sauce as mandu usually does. 2/5 The lunch special was a good price but otherwise this is definitely overpriced. If you are ever in the San Antonio area, try Pelicana, it's AMAZING Korean chicken.

My favorite spot in town for Korean fried chicken!…read more Kiri Kiri never disappoints. The chicken is always made to order, so I usually order ahead on Toast to save time. I always get half garlic soy and half sweet & spicy--both perfectly crispy, flavorful, and super fresh.
