I've never been here before. I was visiting the valley for a few days, and my buddy told me that the Chinese food here was good. Decided to give it a chance. Walked in the place was empty but smelled good. Ordered a Broccoli and beef and a combo fried rice. Costco bout 25buks. Waited for about 10 minutes, and the food was out. Got the bag, and it was heavy. Got to Mt buddies house opened the bag and both to go orders were packed to the top. Broccoli and beef 8 out 10 Combo Fried rice 9 out 10 Service 8 out 10 Only reason beef and Broccoli got an 8 was because it seemed like it had a lot of sauce, but it was still good. I had to try this place out after seeing all the great reviews about how large the portions were at Lin's Express. I'm a big fan of orange chicken and the orange chicken meal that they had seemed like a good deal. Based on the menu pics I saw on Yelp, I expected the meal to be $9.99, but recently their prices have increased towards $12 (most likely due to inflation). That didn't bother me too much because the meal included an egg roll, 2 crab rangoons, and your choice of either fried/steamed rice or lo mein. I placed a take-out order inside and the interior was pretty nice with lots of plush booths. It was well lit and clean. I was shocked to see no other customers when I went. The service is efficient and friendly, but the food is another story. On the surface, the orange chicken looked very appetizing and fresh. However, once you bite into it, the chicken tastes a bit rubbery and there was no crispiness at all to the chicken. It also came with a handful of broccoli that was tough to chew. The fried rice didn't fare much better as it was on the greasier side and didn't have much flavor or seasoning at all. However, the egg roll had a decently crispy skin and the vegetable filling was well seasoned and flavorful. One of my favorite fried items is crab rangoons and once I saw the crab rangoon, I had a feeling they wouldn't taste that good. The crab rangoons that I received were severely overcooked and the skin was burnt. I was disappointed that I couldn't even eat them because they were so tough and charred. Overall, Lin's Express does give out huge portions of food, but they need to improve on their food quality and consistency. read more

My family and I have ordered to go from Lin's Express now several times, and we have always had a good experience. The food is cooked fresh when you order. So plan on being there for a few minutes while they prepare it; it's worth the wait to get fresh hot delicious food. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are very generous. We are six adults, and we ordered four entrees, and had plenty of leftovers, almost enough for another entire meal. I have not been inside to be able to comment on cleanliness, but I can say the outside drive through is very well maintained, and what we receive is neatly packaged. If you want sauces such as soy sauce (I always want more) you need to request them. Our family is a fan of the "crab rangoon", little fried pouches with mostly a cream cheese filling that is slightly sweet. We have tried them at various other places and in the past, and Lin's Express has some of the best. The service is friendly, and I send kudos to the lady who took our order for her patience. I had read a lot of mixed reviews but finally decided to try it. The lo-mein was okay, and the general tso chicken isn't something I would recommend. They serve a generous amount of chicken which is a steal. The egg roll was delicious and (not pictured cause we ate them immediately) are the crab rangoons which were super good! Would I go back? I ordered Kung Pao chicken because that is my favorite Chinese dish. I will say that this was one of the best. It had a bit of spice. Could have been a bit spicier, but it was hot and fresh and the portion size was huge!! I ate some, then...you know how a little while after eating Chinese food you get hungry again, we'll that happened, so I had some more. Then I ate more (cold) for breakfast - weird I know, what can I say!! The order came with these wonton things, fried rice and an egg roll. I also ordered a side of hot and sour soup. This is our new go-to for Chinese food. Just so you know, they are NOT connected to the Lin's Grand Buffet nearby, they are their own business and just happen to have the same last name in Chinese. We have eaten in and done the drive through and let me tell you this is the best Chinese in town these days. The food is good and cooked hot right when you order. The owners are actually Chinese, which I think makes a difference. Anyway, the portions are freaking huge. And man is the food good. Forget the other places and give these people your business. I never tried the food. I attempted an online order for pickup. The total was $179.00. When I was checking out, Lin's tried to charge me a $27.00 TIP and a $1.00 service fee. A $27.00 mandatory TIP when I had to drive and pick up the food!!!! These guys are crazy!!! read more

Not sure why it's rated four stars. I've gone a couple of times and the first time it was solid but it really messed up my stomach. The second time I went it was just flat out not good at all. Flavor was good except for sweet n sour chicken, which seemed to have a lot of breading/batter, more than chicken I would say.
