FAST, STABLE, and RELIABLE! I really pushed these people to the edge with lots of questions and putting them off for months. I have lots of trees and needed to see if a clear signal was even possible before ordering the service. Jillian set up a free site survey and it turns out I had one good location on my house where trees would never block the line of sight to their tower. I placed the installation order as soon as winter broke. I wanted to do most of my own installation work, dictate where to run wires, where to mount antenna and power supply, and they were 100% professional and accommodating. Installer was Tyler and he couldn't have done a better job explaining how everything worked and how I could easily move the location of my equipment in the future. I purchased my own wifi 6 router (802.11ax) to save another $8.99/mo equipment rental and it was no problem for them. Jillian also suggested getting MagicJack so I could keep my phone number after I cancel my old slow DSL that was always being taken down by rain and mice. Never again AT&T. read more

Tyler and Thomas were out at our new property today and worked really hard to ensure we had the best possible service they could provide. I started calling this company before we moved, as I was concerned about moving to the country and not having great internet service. They definitely did not disappoint. Tyler and Thomas went above and beyond to do everything they possibly could to get us internet service to multiple buildings. This is a copy of my old review from their old page- same service, different Yelp listing. My Mom just got XL installed, and I'm totally impressed that she can get 20MB service in rural Frankfort. This is a small ISP and they are based in Frankfort. It's a 2-person operation: the owner Evan and his Mom Jillian. Evan does all the installs and guarantees his work. What's really great about this service though is that fact that it's wireless, let there's not an enormous amount of equipment that needs to be installed. There are tiered packages, you can get anywhere between 5 and 20MB's down, and the speed is very consistent. I'm so glad someone brought high-speed internet to the Chicago area south of Steger Rd. I would highly recommend XL over dialup, or any of the other wireless companies starting to offer this service. For the speed and price, you can't go wrong with XL. read more

Just moved into a new house in a developing neighborhood and was excited to get AT&T fiber as it was available there. Unfortunately AT&T scheduled and cancelled 5 times (on the day before the scheduled date) which prevented us from moving in for nearly a month. In order to move in we decided to go with XL Broadband as the reviews were good. Tyler came out right away and got us set up in no time. As someone who works in software engineering from home, a reliable internet connection is very important to me. I was pleasantly surprised with the service from XL Broadband. After years of horrible service and surging prices with AT&T we finally had it! We asked around town for the best name in internet provider and came across XL Broadband. We had never heard of this family owned company so we sat in our decision for a bit all while continuing to hear rave reviews. So we bit the bullet. Jillian was more than patient over the couple of months we went back and forth on our decision to switch and Tyler came out once to check we get signal here and a second time when we finally made our decision. Fantastic service. Has another provider and XL Broadband blows them away. We can run 5 or more devices at the same time and still have bandwidth. Customer service is great.
