I was initially scared to get a lymphatic massage after my mommy makeover surgery since I was in so much pain so my expectation was for the massage to be painful. As soon as Alex put his hands on me, I felt a sense of relief. He used breathing techniques and explained what he was doing throughout the massage. Thank you Alex! In July I had a BBL procedure (360 liposuction). At the time it was nearly impossible for me to find somebody in the Ventura area that provided lymphatic massages due to the circumstances. Fortunately I found Alex and he was able to provide all the services I needed after my procedure! My hand was extremely swollen from the IV during surgery and I was extremely concerned about it but Alex Massaged my hands and all of the swelling went down overnight! It was amazing. I have been seeing Alex for self care for the last four months, at approximately 2-4x a month, and I can honestly say my body feels so much better and my quality of daily life in regards to body pain, tension and stiff muscles has vastly improved. Let's start with his office; he's located in what appeared to be a random shopping center near Ventura College. However, upon entering the building it is clear this is a professional medical building with other massage and body specialist providers in the adjacent suites. His space is calm; both in energy, colors, and noise. I have never heard other people in the building while in treatment and always feel safe and comfortable in his suite. Regarding massage and body work; Alex and I have done cupping, massage therapy and both during sessions. I struggle with past sports injuries, not following all my dr's orders post surgery and a real lovely case of TMJ and scrunching my shoulders. So, it's safe to say Alex had his work cut out with me. Haha. Despite my being a hot mess, Alex continues to work with my body and it's current stressors, tensions and issues each time. Sometimes we revisit areas of trouble (my sinuses and neck are always sore/tight!) and other sessions shows me a new stretch or breathing method to help with tension or pain. I personally love cupping and Alex is amazing at it but for those who have never done it before; you need to understand cupping is mildly uncomfortable but the way it cleanses & allows for a deeper and more thorough massage is worth the at times, odd sensation of the cups.
