The vise did not come in its original sealed packaging. It was delivered from another SW store, which they wrapped in literally trash. The vise looked used and when you buy anything new it comes with paper work (manual, accessories, warranty, etc), but supposedly according to their website it was shipped from another SW store and was probably a used or turned in by another unhappy customer. I took pictures of the packaging and the store manager at the Farmington NM store didn't have an explanation or offer me any options. This is very concerning and disappointing. I was so upset that I wrote to the SW customer service as soon as I left the store, which was within 5 mins, that's how upset I was. It takes years to build a good customer relationship, but it only takes a few mins to lose a loyal customer. Update: 5/16/24 Today a member from the Sportsman's Warehouse management team reached out to me and I was glad I got an actual call back and they explained what had happened and clarified some questions. Happy to say that SW took ownership of their mistake. I'm glad that I'll continue to be a loyal customer.

This is a store where all customers are appreciated & respected, not just a "chosen few" regulars. The staff are all quite knowledgeable, and willing to share; they are also interested in learning from their customers - something not seen in many gun shops. They generally have a varied stock; stock levels & selection can vary, but they are always happy to order something for the customer if it's not in stock, and will go to great lengths to find a particular model if necessary. Transfer fees are reasonable, should you order something yourself & have it sent through them. (Although courtesy should dictate that you buy current production firearms from them, and only do your direct purchases & transfers for used, obscure, antique, and collectible firearms.)
