Needed 2 barstools reupholstered. Contacted Daniel at Xpert Upholstery Works & he responded first with the most reasonable quote. He replaced it with stronger black marine leather which should last us for ten years as opposed to five. We brought our stools to him; otherwise it would have been an extra cost. He did this all in two days' time. We are happy. Daniel only accepts cash, Venmo, Zelle for payment. No credit cards. Great service he provides as he also reupholsters the following: truck seats, outdoor furniture, head liners, chairs, gym pads, car interior, awnings, boat interiors, pool side furniture & restaurant booths. I wish I had reviewed this business prior to having them work on my boat. I had the same experience as Rick P.. Good price, made great promises and delivered junk!!! Not only that, the owner Jamall verbally harassed my 72 year old father when we could not pickup the boat the day it was completed, even after the finish date was pushed 3 times with no outrage on our part. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and stated we just want it done correctly. Pics say it all! Seat backs and bases made differently, seems do not line up, patched in carpet sections, needle holes where they backed up the sewing machine, lost some SS hardware and replaced with galvanized, and did not install the seats at all. Just propped them up as if they were installed and when I got home everything had fallen and I had to spend my Saturday doing the work I paid for. Speaking of payment, I was charged an extra $200 when I picked up the boat stating I approved the extra charge when I clearly did not. When I brought my concerns to Jamall's attention and requested a 50% refund, he stated I did not pay for him to install the seats (why did I bring you the boat than?) and I got a great deal and he would not be giving me a refund. The business was sold in 2022, the new owners do not know anything about upholstery work. All the pics are from the previous owner. They offered a good price, made great promises, and delivered junk, not in 10 days as orginally promised, but 3 months with endless excusses. The work was horrible, irregular, poorly cut, seams did not line up. The seat backs were made differently for each section. Clearly, it was a job they should have never taken. However, they kept all our money, and would not give us a refund, would not offer to fix the job, they ruined our original cushions, and now I have to start completely over, without our money back. I contacted Xpert to fix my kitchen chairs and nothing was done correctly , after 2 weeks of my repair , fabric was peeling off I decided inspect the work that was done and discovered gorilla glue for a $300 I could've done this myself however I gave this company the benefit of the doubt and they constructed arts and crafts. The worst repair company ever I do NOT recommend ; Jamall made promises he couldn't keep , I am highly DISAPPOINTED !!! read more

I went to have my car armrest upholstered. They said they could match the decorative stitching. When done, the stitching was not straight and a different color than existing. When I brought up the color difference, they used a dye of some sort to darken it. It looked awful. I asked for a redo without the decorative stitching. It turned out better, but not by much. The seams are uneven and the staples they used poked through the thin plastic creating bumps in the material. I have no idea how this place has only 5 star reviews. If you need upholstery work done LOOK NO FURTHER! I am so glad I found this business. I recently purchased a 2002 Toyota Tundra with over 250,000 miles on it. Needless to say, the driver seat was pretty worn. My main concern was about a three inch separation of the seam on the side edge. I called Xpert Upholstery for an estimate and Daniel originally gave me an estimate of $150 to repair the seat. I called back later to see how much less it would cost if I removed the bottom seat cushion and brought it in, he said in that case he would charge me $100. So, I brought it in yesterday. It took less than thirty minutes to finish and, "Wow, what great work!" He not only repaired that portion of the seam, but resowed the whole seam all the way around, sowed a new piece of fabric on the inside where it was thinning and also added some extra foam padding on the left and right to give a firm bucket feeling. It's almost 20 years old but feels brand new. And on top of all that he did it for even less. Thanks Daniel! Keep up the great work! read more
