Some of the worst customer service I've experienced for a very long time. The installation did not happen at all after waiting 10 hours for them to show up. They did not return phone call and did not seem to care at all that I terminated the New contract before it even began. read more

So we purchased xplorenet because our internet was abysmally slow. For the first 6 months it was fast but nowhere near what they advertised for speed. Then it slowed down and often was not functional at all. So we called and complained and it's always the weather or something beyond their control. Finally we spoke to a customer services representative and he told us that Xplorenet had oversold and they were having technical difficulties because they're bandwidth on the satellite couldn't keep up. We were told that until another satellite goes up nothing will improve. This company is very deceptive and more interested in taking your money than providing the service they are selling. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE. We have recently purchased STARLINK but are waiting for our equipment. We have friends that have it and even in beta it's 200 times faster than our current service. read more

Moved to rural eastern Ontario and signed up with Xplornet. I'm a pretty low user 12-20 Gb per month, but my download speeds were in the area of: .94 Mbps; .52Mbps; .94 Mbps etc. (I could get 11 Mbps...If I didn't mind working between 2:00 and 3:30 a.m. *shakes head*) Took screenshots of speedtest.net results as instructed by Xplornet. After 2.5 hours troubleshooting on the phone the technician said it was due to the bandwidth being over-saturated so they would not penalize me for breaking the contract, but when I called to cancel the (rude) CS rep said "You're getting internet - Doesn't matter how low the speed is. You have to pay the penalty if you cancel." It's now in the hands of the CRTS. BTW - I signed up with Comwave and am getting consistent working speeds plus a home phone for significantly LESS than I paid Xplornet, and, holy cow!, the Comwave folks are actually helpful and respectful! read more

Cottage Internet Tolerable service but ridiculous data counting. They insist that I have used 100 gig of data in 2 weeks. At home with more intensive use, kids on uTube, Netflix, downloading movies I don't use that much in a year. I think they are trying to force "self throttleing". This month my data counting app says I have used 2 gigs so far. Xplornet's site says I have used 28 gigs. read more

I would have liked to choose no stars but that wasn't an option. This company is absolute garbage. The service is just awful, the internet would drop out randomly, and watching Netflix or gaming was nearly impossible. Games would have to download overnight because the download speed was crap. Thankfully a new internet service provider became available in my area and I switched to them in November. Once I cancelled with xplornet, the customer service representative told me that I would either have to pay a $250 fee to have someone come and remove the equipment from my roof, or I could remove it myself for free and they would send me a box to mail the outside equipment, modem, etc; back myself. I chose option 2, I'm not paying someone to come and remove stuff that will take them 5 minutes to do. (Only took me that long to remove everything from the roof myself) I got the box to send the equipment back, climbed on top of my roof, packed everything up in the box and sent it off in the mail. 4 months later, I'm looking at my bank account and I see that xplornet has taken $269 out of my account for a "unreturned equipment" fee. I then emailed the company and asked why the money was taken from my account, and that I had sent the equipment back months ago! The reply I received was less than satisfactory, they just sent me an invoice. Thats not what I asked. So, I then emailed back and said, I didn't ask for an invoice, I asked why this amount of money was taken from my account when I have returned the equipment, and if it got lost in the mail, that simply is not my problem, and to refund my money to my bank account. Few hours goes by, I get a reply back from xplornet and they say oh we found the package. We will refund the money, hopefully by way of how it was taken and if not, we will send a cheque, but be aware it may take 6 WEEKS TO PROCESS THIS AND RETURN YOUR MONEY. WHAT?! There was no apology whatsoever. And I replied with, well I hope you return my money into my bank account, the same way you took it and THANKED THEM for clearing it up, even though they never apologized for their goof. Needless to say, I was very angry and not impressed in the least with this end result. Makes me wonder how many others they've done this to. Bottom line, I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND XPLORNET FOR YOUR INTERNET SERVICES! TERRIBLE COMPANY. TERRIBLE SERVICE. read more

So, Xplornet..Let me first say, when calling for customer service/sales, the reps are quite pleasant. But, who wouldn't be when you are trying to "close the sale". I lived in a rural community with no high speed available. Xplornet was the only option, and their ONLY pkg was "up to" 25 mbps download. The only good thing about the service was it rarely went out. I just recently moved to in town, where I was able to get High speed, so I cancelled Xplornet. I requested a specific cancel date as I REQUIRED the internet until the day I moved. Apparently they decided otherwise and cancelled me a week prior to my move. THEN, they took a FULL payment out of my account the day it was to be cancelled. I've been fighting with them for 20 days to get my money back. First it was 10 business days. Then when I called, they told me another 5 business days. I'm sorry..what? XPLORNET...GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!!! NOT HAPPY. Too bad too, as I would have recommended you. NOT NOW! read more

Looks as though the one-star rating for Xplornet is consistent across reviews here on Yelp. We use the LTE service as we are in an area where it is available. We signed up for this service in July of 2019. Xplornet made 'grand' commitments of speed (5MBPS DL) and reliability that unfortunately were not realistic (Avg around 1 MBPS but frequently well under that). It is severely bogged during peak usage hours, which is to be expected, but at this level of service it's not even usable. At the time that we signed up they also indicated that we would be eligible for an imminent upgrade to 25MBPS once the 4G infrastructure was in place. Numerous phone calls, always waiting on hold, always speaking with someone unfamiliar with our case and still no upgrade. Only a month ago we found out some very interesting information - the reason for poor speeds is that they had oversold connections to the tower, knowingly impacting service to all customers, and additionally that the previously noted upgrade was completed in the fall of 2019 with no effort from Xplornet to contact us to notify of the upgrade and adjust our service accordingly. They work through a local installation contractor who has been pleasant to deal with despite their own challenges of managing the over-commitment/under-delivery made by Xplornet. The customer service has been terrible along the way. Like treading water - no progress on anything, impossible to find any technical or sales staff who is interested in helping. Incredibly frustrating to see their advertisements posted all over the area indicating how great their service is, despite already being oversold?? All potential new customers beware. Only a matter of time here before we Xplore the competition... read more

Easily the WORST internet service provider. We were told to upgrade and that it would help our problem. Obviously that was a lie as the internet connection was still horrible. When calling customer support, their answers are either that we should try to reboot out modem ( as if we had not already tried) or that the trees in the area were the problem. Once, after a two week period of no internet did they actually admit that they were the reason for the loss of connection, as they were updating their towers in the area. However, it did not change anything. They have sent out workers to check to see if our modem is properly running. Once checked they say that it's running and there is a strong connection, yet the lack of internet connection that I have after they leave seems to say otherwise. Another time when a worker was sent to our house we had asked why the connection was slower during 4pm-11pm. He had said that there are too many users and not enough strength from towers and satellite to support everyone. This company has absolutely no standards or customer service skills. They do not value customer relations and do nothing but scam you for more money and horrible service. read more

We signed up for the Satellite internet service with 25Mbps in Oct. 2020. At that time we got about 15-20 which wasn't bad. However, in the past month the speed has reduced to less than 2 consistently and sometime less than 1. Technician indicated that the network was slow and there wasn't anything he could do about it. We live in a rural area and have no other choice at the moment, but $250/mth for this? I'm hoping Starlink will kick Xplornet's ass when it becomes available. Like other reviewers, I would give Xplornet a zero if possible. read more

Cut ties with Xplornet back in October 2020 after only 8 months of terrible service. Customer support is a joke and be prepared to wait 1.5 hrs to talk to someone who is clueless. Over $100/month for service they claim is 25 mb/sec but the best they could provide is 0.75 mb/sec. 3rd party installers are not professional. Showed up unannounced 3 months after service was terminated to collect their antenna. Only took the antenna, left the mast and wires dangling on my roof which they also damaged and said they are not responsible. Wouldn't recommend Xplornet to anyone. Look at other options!! read more

This is the worst internet you can in Ontario. I am currently with Xplornet and supposed to receive "Up to 25MBPS" download speed. While I realize the language intentionally allows the company to say you are not guaranteed that speed, I only receive anywhere close to 25 MBPS download speed very occasionally. The average speed is more like 1-5MBPS which is painfully slow. Receiving any customer service is also next to impossible. I wouldn't recommend Xplornet to my worst enemy. read more

Be very careful when it comes time to cancelling your account with Xplornet. They have a tactic to have you not actually close your account in case the new home owners want to use their services. After more than a month, you will find out that although you no longer live in the home that you are in fact still being charged for their services. One of the most deplorable tactics to earn extra money I have encountered in a very long time. read more

DO NOT WORK HERE! Melanie Wilmot is a joke. The whole process became some what laughable. She reached out to me September 1st asking me if I'm available for a 5-10 Minute interview, I gave her a response telling her I'm available anytime. She than responded asking me if I'm available the next day at the same time which was Friday September 2nd, 2022, I said yes. Friday arrived no call or anything left indicating why she wasn't available. I had to reach out to her office and I was informed she'd reach back soon. Wednesday September 7th, 2022 came, with out taking any full responsibility or acknowledgement of her absence, she still had the audacity to ask if I'm Available for a phone call interview on a Friday September 9th, 2022. Friday came AGAIN and still not one call did I receive. This has to be the worst hiring process that I wish no one should experience. Go work else where and find an employee who will take your application seriously. read more

Just closed out our Explornet service after fighting to get a reliable internet service for 3 years. we started with a Satellite setup which came in and out for first 1 1/2 years with the thought that due to our rural location this would be the best we could get. After contacting Explornet they sent a technician to look at the satellite which cost us about $100 and he indicated that we should change to the new LTE system and we would get much better service. We had them change us to the new system with hopes that this would fix that problem but for another 1 year we fought with poor internet signal, low speeds, and total outages. To add to the frustrations when I cancelled today they charge us a $243 cancellation fee even when they can't maintain a reliable internet connection with there system. I indicated to them that it is interesting that they don't credit us for the days we didn't have internet. We are now with a new internet service that uses similar equipment that Explornet uses and enjoying reliable service and meeting the promised internet speeds. During our time with Explornet the promised internet speed was never met, the modem needed to be rebooted daily and usually multiple time a day to regain service, and when Explornet was called the response is they are having technical issues with there equipment (really !). From the Lessons learnt over the last 3 years I would not ever again use Explornet or recommend them to be used. They will not meet there promised commitment and constantly suck money out of you to fix problems that they own. Please read the fine print (on their internet page) before signing the installation paper when the system is installed. They will not upfront tell you that you are signing into a fixed service contract and the installation papers has nothing that indicates that their is a mandatory service contract length until you go to cancel the service and you get a surprise that there is a cancellation fee. In short there are other better internet service providers out there and I suggest doing your research and take to other that have Explornet before committing. read more

The CRTC defines "high speed" internet as 5mbps download speed and 1mbps upload speed at a minimum. Xplornet advertises "reliable" high speed internet, yet I can not even perform a speed test because I cannot load the page. This service often delivers speeds under 1mbps download and almost nil upload. The only time I have seen the advertised speeds are between the hours of 1-4am. More often than not, internet connection is non existent. Remember that you are paying for speeds "up to" what is advertised. Secondly, their "traffic management policy" which is illegal bandwidth throttling hiding behind an algorithm, will cause your speeds to drastically slow if you actually use your connection. Anecdotally, I've noticed downloads over 1GB trigger this traffic management, and you'll see your speeds sharply drop during the download. Trash company, trash customer service. You can expect to wait multiple hours to speak to a representative only to be reminded that what they are doing is legal. They won't help you, just remind you that you can't sue them. Absolute scum of the earth people work for Xplornet. read more

I can't believe there are so many bad reviews. I have been with Bell for 13 years because there is no alternative. We have put up with terrible service over and over the same problem solving ,they send a technician he looks in the box on the pole, then he asks to look at the connection in basement, then looks at the computer and gets on the phone to check line and sometimes gets them to speed it up to .6 to 1mbps if your lucky. Then the technician says no fault found here I'll open a ticket for the linesman to check down the line, and that's the last you see off them. xplorenet came out before the due installment date, we were supposed to get upto 25mb and we are getting 30 to 33mbps and customer service is helpfull and no waiting on phone and 1 week after install we get a courtesy call from the local rep as a follow up to see how it's going. Like I said I don't know why there are bad comments but you must be spoilt from where you come from. Xplorenet so far great service we now have reliable streaming and browsing with real highs peed. Thanks read more

I have limited options where I am and have been a customer of xplornet for about 10 years. For 8 of those 10 years I have been lucky if I get 1/4 the speed I pay for but I need internet for my work. I upgraded to 25 Mpbs down unlimited last year and now get about 5 down. They say thats all they can do, but even with 5 down they charge for 25, and unlimited means do not use much. I was advised not to try and watch netflix in high def or I would trigger their "(un) fair use policy" and be throttled. The reps I have delt with have mostly been very good, but I would never recommend this compay to anyone who has other options. I think I should get a price reduction or monthly credit if they wont deliver close to what I pay for. I would never charge my customers for something I did not do, but I am not xplornet. read more

It is the only option for internet until Bell puts in Wireless to the Home at my location. Best service offered is Satellite at 10 Megs Down, 1 Up, monthly cap at 100 GB for over $100 / month and is a joke. The claim of "unlimited data" is false advertising since when you go over you monthly cap you get 1 Meg Up, which is pretty much useless in today's world. The only way they get customers is that it is the only choice. Hopefully Bell will continue their rollout and it would be nice if Rogers also had a similar service. They certainly have the towers. Can't wait to switch to a service that is in today's world. Netflix seems to stream okay, but Crave, CTV Go and other streaming services are painful to watch with the amount of buffering that goes on at these speeds. read more

The poor installation cost me 4 routers totaling over $1,000. They forgot to ground the system and took a 2nd company to come find the issue, then charged me for the ground install, even after costing me all that money. The signal and speed quality is unreliable and after all of that my internet randomly stops working and they day they have to fix a signal issue they would not cover the work order cost and want to charge another $120 do redirect the tower. These are all installation issues that should not have cost me a dime. I am switching to wave direct. Xplornet has been my worst experience with any service. Period. read more

MY family has used Xplorenet for around 3 years as there is no other service in our part of Albert, CAN. For the three years we have had to pay at an increasing rate, got horrible unreliable internet, and had very frequent times where we would go for a week with 0kb upload speed. This company is horrible, if you are even thinking about getting a subscription for Xplorenet I advise you to look for any other alternatives. As of writing this we have been without internet for 2 days now. We call in and always get the same, your tower has a heavy load right now, it may slow down connection. We pay for the 5G. bundle, and yet we are treated to less internet than our original plan of 2G. If your looking for an ISP do not go with Xplorenet. read more

If I could give a zero I would! For the first two months I ran around bragging to co-workers and friends that I didn't know why I waited as long as I did to switch to Xplornet, as the internet speed was phenomenal compared to Bell. Well... That all changed into the third month. Our service speed went from phenomenal to non existent overnight, and I couldn't figure out why as nothing had changed. I spent hours going through the troubleshooting steps with the Support Dept on several different phone calls, and each time they would tell me nothing was wrong, everything was showing "good on their end". After many days of hearing my son complain that he couldn't play Fortnite (I'm sure all you parents can relate), I started researching why this would be happening. I came across an article titled "internet throttling", and everything that had been happening to us was explained word for word in this article. I also found an article that said Xplornet had been given millions of dollars by the government to provide rural Canadians with high speed internet..so my question is "where did those millions of dollars go,as we in "rural NB" certainly dont have "high-speed" internet..we don't even have regular internet for God sakes. I don't even care about highspeed, I just want basic internet services for the money I pay every month. Bottom line is that Xplornet has over sold their towers, and are continuing to do so as they are getting away with it because they have no competition here in rural NB. So if you are in a rural area and are looking for good honest reviews on Xplornet my advice would be to speak to someone that has had their services longer then three months. From my experience and several others I know, they don't throttle your services the first few months, but within the third month they start throttling your speeds,as they want to continue selling their product to more people without having to put any money in. read more

They're constantly throttling me to the point were I can't load a 1 minute youtube video. I am writing this review as it is the last straw with Xplornet. The service is abismal! I have nieces trying to do school work, it is impossible to gain access to websites consistently. We try to watch TV at night, the continuous buffering prevents any reasonable watching of Netflix. I have a credit to my account - Thank you! - but doesn't help the speed. I reduced from 25 Mbps to 10 Mbps - no improvement. That was meant to at least meet minimum levels - it did not!! I am told they are 'investigating' the situation and cannot give me a timeframe for resolution. That response has been in play with me for 3 weeks, at least. The issue is too many customers, and they continue to look for NEW customers, yet the existing loyal customers are left to suffer with poor service at every time of the day. I am not expecting 100% service, but I do expect some service, and not buffering. This is affecting the ability to school my nieces, and I cannot tolerate that. There are 'canned' and scripted responses, that are repeated. They shuffle from one person to another, with no resolution. I'm looking for resolution not excuses. Of note, they are also keen to lose my business - Derek- a supervisor, could not help, and was offering to help me drop my account. That in effect would open up to a NEW unsuspecting customer getting my slot on a 'stop sell' tower. Good one! all about serving loyal customers. I am deeply disappointed with this provider. These are difficult times, and I've been reasonable, but it is past the point of understanding and reason. Xplornet - stop adding new customers and serve your current customer base - we pay for and expect SOME reasonable semblance of service, get on it PLEASE!!! read more

This Xplornet "high speed internet" is useless in a rural area. My service went down almost always, I would spend hours on the phone to just have them send someone to move my dish and charge me for each service call. It went down so often that I couldn't be bothered to call them every time because I didn't have time to speak to them so I would forget about it, I used Bell as my back up, then when I finally remembered to call them, months would go by, we couldn't use it but they still charged me for all those months when they clearly see and they confirmed that my account was inactive--CROOKS!! I finally cancelled, I didn't realize that my Bell satellite system had wifi as an option so I cancelled Xplornet immediately and I now only use Bell, it's cheaper, faster and never goes down!!! I have never had to call Bell for assistance. I'm so upset to have wasted so much money and time on Xplornet. Buyer beware!!! Do not sign up with them if you are in a rural area, it will shut down on you almost daily. The slightest wind will move your dish and everything goes down, my Bell dish was right next to the xplornet dish and it NEVER moved. A red flag should have been every time I called, the message mentioned that I had to wait a while on the line for a technician because they were too busy dealing with other technical issues, EVERYTIME I CALLED!! I should have realized after the 10th call that this system was horrible with so many people calling in.l with issues. I would wait uobto 30 minutes each and every time!!! Save money and time and do yourself a favour and do not sign up with them. read more

This is an absolute scam. The internet is often so slow that you cannot use it, do not spend your money on this. This company does not deserve any of your money. When phoning them they claimed that there is a tower under construction but they continue to charge full price for a product that is not fully operational. They also claim that the slow internet can be because many people are on at the same time but the difference is marginally better at 4am then at 6pm. This is by far the most frustrating service and I am furious that these people have been taking my money for a service that often is not working at all. If you're looking for 'high-speed internet', stay away from Xplornet. You're lucky to get 60Kbps download on a good day. It's usually closer to 10Kbps download, but a stupid 3Mbps upload. But when you try uploading something, it eventually fails because your computer can't get anything past these idiots servers. Even dial-up is better. A VPN is your only way around these stupid restrictions, but they are wildly slow on Xplornet. It takes about 3 to 6 hours of buffering for 1 minute of 120p video. Not worth it. And it still comes with a 200GB limit. For 90-something dollars, stay away. It's better to go without internet if these guys are your only option. Sure, the people who come to your home for a little checkup ever 2 or so years are nice. but it's once every two years. Stay away. read more

I used to be a Xplornet satillite user, during the extire time i never ONCE got even close to the speeds advertised. I complained numerous times but always got the same lame response, the excuse was their shared bandwidth policy. At the first opportunity I switched to a different provider,SK Velocity, and they were great. But they were too good as they were kicking Xplornets butt in rural sask. To the dismay of customers SK Velocity was bought out by Xplornet, within 2 weeks the service was on a downward slide and getting worse almost daily, very unstable and unreliable. If their goal is a customer base of VERY dissatisfied customers they would get a 5 star rating. I have yet to find anyone who likes their service but unfortunately its the only real game in town. Next year we will have an option and myself and pretty much everyone I talk too will cancel with Xplornet. Xplornet is the worst..!! Worst garbage ever. No rural canadian would choose this horrific site if there wasnt a MONOPOLY on ISP's. I love all the ass brained justifications that the company tries to tell people! Horrible customer service (Dont speak english very well), TERRIBLE speeds always, i cant play online games anymore because my ping is SIX HUNDRED. YES, SIX. HUNDRED PING. INSANELY SLOW! Forget about streaming anything because you will be constantly interrupted by the dreaded throtttling. God forbid it rains or snows (Or even minor clouds) because the internet is gone. Its as though they look at the weather and throttle their internet back accordingly. Nobody ive ever talked to has ever said a SINGLE nice thing about xplornet. It is a garbage company run by garbage people providing a truly GARBAGE service. Did i mention absolute garbage? Yeah, its that bad guys. Really. The second there is a comparable ISP in rural areas xplornet will be out of business faster than a 2015 lambo galllardo. CEO of xplornet, please consider self euthanasia because i think you would be more useful to the world as a corpse. Rot in pieces. Update: We can officially add "destruction of private property" to the list of crimes Xplornet is guilty of. I bought myself an outdoor access point to get better WiFi in parts of my yard, and when I climbed up on my roof to install it using the Ethernet cabling that was there (which Xplornet re-used for their installation and did not install a new run) I noticed it had been cut off at the base of my antenna mast. This company is a criminal enterprise and nothing more. I do not have words to accurately describe my disdain for them, their installers, their support personnel, their sales team or their CEO. If anyone here is reading this thinking "Xplornet might be the service for me" run (don't walk) away. They do not deserve your money, period. They will fail to delivery on every single promise they make, and then when you finally do get out from under them they'll find a way to screw you one last time. If I could give a -5 star rating, I would. Everything about Xplornet is garbage, starting with the man at the top, Mr. Allison Lenehan. Change starts with you, sir. Do better. Be better. read more

wind, snow, cloudy days - any excuse to not provide the service their ads claim. 20 min + wait times to be treated like garbage by robots pretending to do a humans job of customer service. Enjoy claims that "youre the only one with an issue" from customer disservice reps, until the in-person agent farmed out to band-aid their leprose technology confirms theyre swamped with non stop irrate clients such as yourself. Just dont try and use the internet during primtimes such as 5pm to 11pm, weekends, or holidays - instead, place your bets with family and friends that the signal of 5 bars will or will not actually time-out from host connection failure. Don't worry, if you think the useless equipment can always serve as your personal lightning rod to your home, that junk must be returned to cancel your contract. But hey, someone has to pay for those million dollar towers the neighbourhood children play under. read more

They receive their internet from Bell, and so the traffic management policies are due to these restrictive arrangements and profitability issues. They'll accept more customers on a certain tower or satellite beam than they can actually provide decent service to, while still charging them an arm and a leg. For sure, there are issues with the platforms in regards to latency and unreliability--there's a reason no other provider wants to deal with satellite--but the way Xplornet makes their money is simply not okay. Charging a fixed amount when there is literally no standard for quality, only a potential for quality, is a surefire way to piss off your customers. Then again, if you threaten to cancel, they'll always give you free credits (or reset your usage) to keep you subdued. It's a shame they're pretty much the only option for some people. read more

I read the ad and they said they were fast and unlimited. they also said they had a money back guarantee. it didnt seem too bad for the first couple months and then it just sucked. so slow, and going totally off all the time. so slow i can't watch a youtube video without it buffering. I called explornet and it took forever to get through on hold and the person who answered was just ignorant. i tolk him my internet was so slow i coulnt stream anything and he told me not to stream then. he said it wasnt for streaming just for emale and surfing. i said i wanted my money back then and he said the money back time limit was up. i now figured it out it was almost not to bad right till the money back time limit and then they slowed it down to nothing and im trapped in the contract and they will sue me if i quit. read more

Bref, éviter à tous prix! read more

This company is the worse and its no lie, i had many support teams tell me the same thing till i asked to speak to the manager he told me i have to sign up for commercial internet to get the ports open. I been dealing with support for 2 days already and getting no where, one of the tech from the tech team contact me and told me that the manager was lying and all the ports are open i don't have to switch. No one at this company knows what is what and i am so tired i'll be canceling tomorrow morning. Stay away from these guys no matter what people tell you or you will find out the hard way how bad they really are 'Brampton Ontario Canada' read more

Here are some of Xplornet's specialties! -Throttling you from 7am-11pm -Giving you 1/50th of what you actually paid for -Lying -Overcharging -Subsequently gaslighting you, and telling you that the issue is because you're using the internet wrong If that sounds good, then this is the right company for you! *Oh wait... If you're reading this, then they are probably the only company in your rural town or area... because they have a monopoly. That's subsidized by our government... with no accountability or actual real oversight from the CRTC. FUN! read more

Very slow, unreliable rural service. We "upgraded" to their newest plan a few weeks ago and have had spotty service since then, sometimes getting so slow that internet pages will not load (let alone buffer a movie). Customer service hold time is often anywhere from 30-60 minutes and once we get through, they do not have any solutions or compensation for the poor internet. I have not been impressed with either their internet service, nor their customer service in the 3+ years we have been using them. read more

Ever since xplornet took over silo our internet is down more than it's up. We went years without a problem with silo but as soon as xplornet took over the service is horrible. The reason why companies like xplornet buy up these smaller companies like silo is because the smaller companies CARE!! THEY WANT TO GIVE YOU WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Now that xplornet dosen't have any competition they can give you their subpar service and you basically have to eat it or go without... read more

Horrible. Horrible. Absolutely the worst of any company in the world. I wasted thousands of dollars using them in Campbellford, Ontario. Their service never worked. Stay away from this company. Wait for satellites from Elon Musk. Or use cell phone data. Do not sign with this company. They will destroy you, take all your money and give you constant heartache. Something is seriously wrong with the management.of this company. Stay away!!!! read more

I had a horrible experience with a customer representative named Emily she is a disgrace to the company and should not work there the level of her incompetence was amazing she would not forward me to her supervisor I eventually had to call another department and talk to her manager whose name was Chris, very helpful, very accommodating... However I will keep this negative review as long as Emily works for that company. read more

This is the most corrupt and useless internet company ever they have stolen my money by giving only a fraction of its internet speed and a majority of the time is unable to connect. I urge anyone who is thinking about joining xplornet to not sign up. They do not care about you and they never will they'll suck you dry and give you nothing in return read more

Worst internet providers in alberta. The excuses for why the net is slow is pathetic. " odd weather, storms, leaves on trees" The internet is slow and the bill gets higher. Worse company ever. Cons, scams and thefts. Just give your money to someone on the street and ask them to punch you in the head. You will get the same results. Pathetic. read more

The service just down right SUCKS!!!! I feel like I am flushing my money down the toilet cause it only works, sometimes at 6 am. They rest of the day and night it is unusable. WASTE OF MONEY. The reps give you 1 excuse after another and tell you they are going to fix it by a certain date but that date comes and flies by and still nothing. read more

Loving the new Xplore! I had the old Xplornet and got 10mbps in my rural location. I'm now polling 354, which is better than Starlink - and cheaper, too! The salesperson was excellent, and the technician who came out was better than any I've had so far from any company. Very appreciate, and very much liking this new Xplore! read more

The absolute f**ing worst internet I've ever had, even the rogers internet stick was better than this. And to make it worse, your in a 2 year contract and need to pay money to get out of it. And to make it worse you only get 100 gb per month? save your money and go with literally anything else. This company is a scam. read more

I was offered an apology of 1 month free service. Beyond going above and beyond for your clients is amazing service which is very hard to get now. So GREAT JOB read more
