This was my first time shipping a car and it was my mother in law's SUV as she wasn't capable of…read moredriving it to the other side of the country. Sherpa was very easy to reach to adjust details (drop off location and contact had to change) and were professional and easy to get along with. They were willing to help however I needed, which is nice. Additionally, the price lock guarantee was nice, since my mother in law wasn't on the hook for additional funds. I don't know if this is common when shipping vehicles, but when using Sherpa, they contract a third party. I suspect this is where the price lock guarantee was a good thing, because I'm guessing they need to make the contract more lucrative to get people to pick up the vehicles. The company who ended up picking up the contract was -fast-. They got that SUV 2200 miles in 3 days. The difficult part was regarding pick up. The pick up window was 5 days, but because they put the shipping contract out there, they have to wait for someone to accept the contract. Due to my being in a small city, it took almost a week past the 5 day period to actually get picked up. I could see this being a challenge for people if they're on a time crunch and it was concerning at the time, but it all worked out. In the end, I probably should have done more research on how shipping vehicles goes, because that pick up delay may not be unique to them, but I was happy with Sherpa and I would absolutely use them again.

Used this company to transport my car back to C.A. When it arrived I informed the shop my car was damaged since they had hired first choice. From the shop, Good Morning Arnak, You recently picked up a black 2004 Infiniti G35 from our facility and transported it to California, the customer (vince) whose email i have also attached messaged me ysterday saying that there were a few damages that occured to the vehicle during transport. The front hood is bent and the rear trunk and rear bumper are damaged as it appears that another vehicle was making contact with the G35. I have attached a few photos of how it left from here and how it arrived to him as well as a video, can you contact him and try to come to a solution for him please. He then emails me this, I have attached pictures of where the car was loaded on the truck. If the damage to the trunk lid was caused during transport by the charger in the back or by even any other car it would not have a bumper left on it (it would at least crack the bumper to get to the trunk lid). The second picture that is attached is a picture at a pick up location. If you zoom in you will see that trunk lid is not aligned even there. Besides all of these, Michael has done a thorough inspection including test driving the car before he even signed the BOL. The driver did not just drop and go he was there for awhile, so they had plenty of time. If we damage a car we do not mind fixing it but obviously some of these damages they are either preexisting or have caused by something else but not during transport. He forgot to mention that my car had left on a double decker trailer where there was a charger behind my car and no that car couldn't have done the damage. At some point my car had been loaded onto a 2 car flatbed and had a ram 3500 behind it. which is clearly big enough to damage my trunk and bumper! I have pics when it had arrived on the flatbed to! Mike had reported it to the flatbed driver and he said it was like that. The shop and I both agree it wasn't like that. I have pics before it left Cali and the shop has pics before it left them. I had told him I didn't care about the hood or trunk being bent and that I just wanted my paint fixed, because clearly you could see another car had been rubbing against it. he says if we damaged it we don't mind fixing! Haha that's funny, when I sent you that pic of my car on that flatbed. you didn't think I had proof my car had been switched to another trailer. I got no response at ALL. Man up and take responsibility!

Nobody wants to spend extra money for unnecessary car rental especially when you don't know when exactly you gonna get your car. My car ended up being shipped a day early. They stored it for a day. THAT BEING SAID I am so glad I did the smart thing and went directly thru the BBB to find Affordable Auto Shippers. Initially I had gone and even paid another company to move my car from NC to TX and they tried to do the whole bait and switch BS and unfortunately because of their attempted scam I had to close my bank account and deal with a mess. Needless to say I refused to be scammed again which led me to go theu the BBB for quotes. I spoke to a few companies that were legit but pricey. Then I called and spoke with Adnan, he was very kind and respectful and listened to me. He answered my questions directly and was didnt push me to sign or agree to anything he said he would send me a quote and if I had further questions to call him. I was shocked to see that his quote saved me a few hundred dollars. He explained to me that if I were flexible on my dates he could get me a better deal and I was not in a rush so I was able to take advantage of a larger savings. He walked me thru the whole process and was genuinely kind in all my dealings with him. When the 1st driver he set up messed up and got the wrong state down for pickup (SC rather than NC) and then wasn't communicating well with me I called him and he apologized and said it was unacceptable that I was going thru that and waiting longer than expected (a week) and promptly found me a new driver to pickup within 24 hrs. The new drivers fee was 50 dollars more but because they lock in the rate he promised me it would come out of his side and he held true to his word, I paid the same amount as agreed and the rest went as promised...I paid the deposit (lowered amount because the driver was going to get more of the share) online with PayPal the morning of pickup and then the communications with the driver and him went beautifully throughout, Upon receiving my car I paid the driver with a money order and that was it! The dealings I had with Adnan and his company Affordable Auto Shippers really restored my faith in the world after having such a negative experience before finding them. My best advise is to ho thru the BBB get a low pressure company such as Adnan that addresses all your questions with kindness and locks in a rate guarantee and works with you. Two things to remember: 1) dont just trust a bad review do your research, customer service sucks and people get paid to write bad reviews so go thru reputable websites like BBB 2) nothing EVER goes as planned so give people grace and the benefit of the doubt when potential problems arise. Like in my case with the 1st driver set up, that definitely wasn't the fault of Affordable Auto Shippers and they made it right at the cost of their own payment yet a bad reviewer might make you believe differently.
