I was quoted 158 for this job the day prior over the phone and I confirmed at the start of the appointment if that would be the price. My brakes were in poor shape, missing a brake pad on one side and the mechanics spent an extra 15-20 mins working on my cylinder. At the end of the job, Chris informed me that they got air on the line and would have to bleed the brakes. (I've always had my brakes bled at the end of any brake job so this is standard for me to have done whenever I get my breaks done. They told me this would be an extra 120 dollars at the end of the job. My father is a mechanic and said that price was a little high just to bleed the brakes and was very familiar with the procedure. He told me "go call your dad and ask him to send you more money." When I asked if they could take 20 bucks off and knock the price down to 100 from 120 he asked me to tell him how old I was which I thought was rude and uncalled for. I told him I was 30 and he proceeded to say "wow you look 18" and said "one day you're going to have to learn that everything in life isn't free sweetheart." When I went to his office to pay he also said I'm going to have to buy him lunch because they spent extra time working on my car than they planned. Disgusting behavior. I would not recommend this shop to any woman (or really anyone) unless you want to be taken advantage of and upsold. They ended up bleeding one brake so my car would be somewhat drivable. My interior dashboard was also scratched up when I got my car back from them.

The VW is now at 135,000 miles, King Auto has provided service over 92,000 of those miles. The owner has always been gracious and helpful. He's always advised things to watch out and plan for. Typically can see me same day, if the bays are occupied, I'll return as he's available. Only a few times, I'd leave the auto and return upon completion. I refer friends and clients. That's how much I trust their ability.

I was told that my front brakes were at 1% and that I would eventually need to also have my back brakes fixed. So, I got the front brakes fixed, but when I picked up my car, I still heard a disturbing noise. I called Jake at Super Eagle and shared the concern. Jake responded appropriately and said to bring the car back. The sound became worse over the weekend. When I took it back, I did not get the same type of service as before -no text messages sharing the status of my car and no calls with updates. We called three times and only got voicemail. Upon finally hearing from them, I was told that my back brakes/pads were basically gone - metal on metal, and they couldn't/didn't even try to drive it to hear the sound. It is unacceptable that one week later, my car was worse. Hubby and I have concluded that they replaced the wrong brakes the first time. This mistake, the absence of updates, and the subpar level of service were extremely disappointing. Full disclosure - after expressing our displeasure, we were given a discount of maybe 15-20% Unfortunately, my initial excitement of finding a new shop for my Volvo is gone.
