I always stop across the street at Pilot on my way through here. It's a good place to stretch your legs, get a drink, and use the restroom. Today I decided to try out the new Xpress Truck Stop. I went in to use the restroom and they told me I had to buy something to get a code for the restroom. I let them know I would buy something for sure but I wasn't going to take my drink in the bathroom with me and I didn't want to take it out to my car to come back in and use the restroom. They just said sorry it's how it works so I thanked them anyhow and told them I'd just go across the street. Maybe this business model is working well for them but I will likely never return here. I'm lol stick to Pilot where it's just easier to visit. If the owners see these reviews I hope they can realize that there is. Irving wrong with making changes to the business model to meet the needs of their customers. Or maybe I'm just not who they want to have spending money there and that's ok too. This is a new and clean gas station, but it needs a lot of work on the customer service side of things. They are VERY serious about their restrooms being for customers only. You must make your purchase before using the bathroom. They put the code on the bottom of the receipt. Although we were not given a receipt so he gave us the code for the bathroom. They also have no prices on anything. Like literally not one price for any item so it will be a "fun" surprise when you go to check out. Their gas is also $1 more per gallon than the Pilot next door. The female employee seen my son and partner enter the store and as 18 year old son exited the restrooms he was told by the lady there he had to purchase something, so he purchased a mouth wash. If I could give this place a negative star review i would. It started off as I had to use the restroom then was going to buy a soda and chips. As I waited at the restroom door as someone was in it, a female worker came over and said you can't use it until you purchase. I explained that I had to go very bad and I would purchase afterwords. I was told the restrooms were only for customers. I told the man my husband was getting gas. He let me use the restroom however there are signs posted everywhere warning customers that they may only use the restroom AFTER a purchase is made. When my husband entered to use the restroom after pumping gas he was asked what pump was used. My husband accidentally said the wrong pump number and the attendant told him there was no purchase at that pump. So he corrected himself and then was able to use the restroom. BTW there were no other customers at this time. It is super rude and frankly un American to not be a hospitable road stop. We travel a ton and have never been to a more rude truck stop. We were the ONLY customers in the store and the only ones getting gas at 5:00 on Friday evening, January 22. We headed straight for the bathroom as our son pumped gas.
