We stop at Sully's all the time and this one is probably our 2nd most visited Sully's in Bakersfield. This one might be the closest one to work, and we pass this one a lot. Just like all the other Sully's, this location is nice and clean and always well stocked with goodies. Gas is gas... it's always on par with all the other gas stations nearby, but the one thing that sets this place above the other gas stations is the snacks! They support tons of local gems, from Smith's Bakery to Dewars to even some of the local spots that make protein desserts. This location is always busy, but the employees are quick so you're in and out with no problems. Sometimes there's a line, but it moves pretty quickly. This is located in a nice area, but traffic in the area gets congested at times. read more

I love how Sully's Chevron continues to go all in on carrying local brands and businesses. From Smith's to Sequoia Sandwiches to Just Cinnamon, they're carrying some of the best local brands and products. I especially love this for any of the businesses you usually have to catch at a market. On my most recent visit I got my late night Sequoia fix. Something I wouldn't be able to do if I had to rely on Sequoia's regular business hours. I grabbed a Waldorf chicken salad sandwich and a classic rainbow sprinkle cookie. It all tasted super fresh and delicious, and the nice folks behind the counter mentioned they had gotten those in that day. A few min after 8pm Sunday. March 22nd, I walked into Sully's on Coffee rd. I went in to get ice, coffee, fuel and maybe something sweet. 1st, I had to give the job-site ground mounted brush a try. It's just to the left of the front door and cleaned my sandy boots well. I was at the park doing my stretches in the dark to avoid getting in the way of the disc golfers. My boots were a little messy. I opened the door for some younger folk looking like a family. Maybe the older brother or the dad tried the brush after me. I mentioned (paraphrasing) that I had to give it a go and got a reaction from the young guy. I waited- holding the door open for him as well. Upon entering, I was awe struck enough to not respond to the ever so present and cheerful Sully's greeting from the cashier. I think I mouthed a "wow." I'd never seen it so empty. I could see almost every snack, even read some of the Scratch Kitchen signage. The place smelled clean but with a "make you hungry" scent in the air. I filled up on ice and coffee still contemplating the sweets I'd be taking on the road. I was caught off guard by the same young man leaving with his family. My hearing is less than great but I believe he was saying goodbye. The gentleman then told me to be careful. He repeated the warning in Spanish. Cuida te. I was so impressed with the lack of accent that it left me there forgetting to peruse the sale priced Smith cookies or custom fudge. I replied my best polite "thank you" and finished with an awkward, "brother." I never say brother to a stranger unless he was a fellow Marine although I didn't ask. I'd never been warned twice in La Brea Tar Pit style. In perfect Spanish at that. It stayed with me for long enough to write about it today and throughout my trip out of town. Every time I thought about the warning, I'd slow down and both times I slowed to speed limit a CHP pulled over the lead fast mover in my group. That could've been me. The warning from out in left field may've saved me $1000 -$2500 bucks maybe more. I don't really care to know what a speeding ticket costs anymore with impound, insurance, loss of points or license. I'll finish with you just never know. I drive a bit slower today and will continue as I'm spotting red & blue lights pulling speeders over less than 24 hours since my Sully's visit. Maybe it was a warning for future disco biscuits to the dome while carelessly stretching at the park. Maybe it was a warning about the noticeably beautiful tattooed lady in the store. Micro-aggression? No. In reading the room, the cool dude was with his family and no threat was in his voice or candor. Just a warning. I hope I see this man again to thank him proper. I forgot the sweets just standing in the impulse purchase line. I'd let a man carrying ice and that notably statuesque cross fit lady with tattoos past me as well. Just staring at the white cheddar Cheez-It's but mind on the warning. I never grabbed a snack, sweet nor savory. So, you never know what you'll get at a cool store like Sully's when you open the door for people. Thank you to the young stranger wearing vans. That could've been me with a $2500 deficit. First time ever in a Sully's gas station. We came in to try Pork Chop and bubbas bbq. The place is clean and has Smith's bakery items and Sequoia sandwiches. I have wanted to try Smith's bakery, definitely not impressed. We tried two different donuts and we got the kids cookies. The cookies they liked the donuts were not good hard to beat Carlos Donuts in Tehachapi. Sully's was clean and customer service was great. Emerson helped me and he was awesome. read more

You can tell the minute you enter that Sully is a perfectionist. He set out to open the best looking gasoline convenience store around and sell the best gasoline--Chevron. I have never seen a cleaner, nicer, more well stocked convenience store ever--and I have seen many. The restrooms were also clean and nice. And the Bakersfield police must also agree because they came in the store to shop while I was here. (They must pay them well--this store is also expensive.) It's next door to the Hyatt--where I like to stay when traveling and across the street from 2 of my other favorite stores: Trader Joe's and Starcrooks. Even the employees were clean and pleasant. If they don't have your favorite drink here--it does not exist. They also have a nice bike lock-up outside that I used when I came off the path at Coffee Rd. One pump out of order, another tap didn't work, on the third pump after pumping gas the screen said to get the receipt inside, Standing in line behind convenience store patrons at this busy store/station makes this quick refill anything but convenient. Sully's operates a number of very nice, professional, and clean gas stations in our town. Additionally, when you walk in their stores, it feels like you are in a fancy little health food store. You will find all kinds of interesting and healthy delights you may not find anywhere else. Kudos to their Purchasing Department! Furthermore, I want to tell you about their staff.... I always go to Sully's, be it on Ming, on Coffee/Stockdale, or on Coffee/Olive. Personnel is fantastic. It is obvious they have been fully trained in providing quality customer service. They make sure they greet you cheerfully and they actually show "care" about your inquiry, whatever it may be, even if they can't help or don't provide the serivce you're asking for. That said, I want you to know about one of their employees named "Ryean". He is so professional and friendly, he actually leaves a lasting impression. He is sharp, dedicated, and kind to people. He is exactly the type of person you want to receive help from, when you are having a bad day. I work as a career coach. So, please believe me when I praise a customer service person. I don't do it often. But when I see a shining employee, I recognize it and most importantly, I KNOW how hard they are to come by. I LOVE this place. I've been out in Bakersfield for a couple weeks now on a work assignment and have several weeks still remaining so I figured I'd get to know the local joints a little bit. I was looking for a place to pickup a couple alcoholic beverages to enjoy back at my hotel and Sully's was one of the first places that popped up when I searched liquor store. When I originally searched it said nothing about being a gas station it was simply listed as "Sully's" so when I arrived I was a little thrown off but the name was right so of course I checked it out anyways. I was not ready for all the cool stuff inside! These folks support a ton of local businesses. There's a plethora of local snacks, sandwiches, produce, products and they have an awesome selection of craft beers! They even had farm fresh eggs sourced locally at this one. This is one of the larger locations so they've actually got a full on local bakery housed inside and an in house kitchen that has been closed during the pandemic. My work takes me to the wee hours of the AM currently so the couple times I've made it here have been between 1 and 2 am. The cashier Kayla is a rockstar! I very rarely get above and beyond customer service at these hours which I totally get but Kayla is dynamite! She was very cheery, and gave 5 star customer service. I mentioned I was from out of town the first time and I'd be here for a while and she gave me a Sully's card and gave me the rundown on their stores and told me I should check em out since they all carry a little bit of different things. And she even recognized me the next time I stopped in which is pretty crazy since she probably sees countless faces everyday! Needless to say I think I found my spot for finding some cool local goodies! Thanks to Sully's for making my stay here just a bit more awesome. We have been regulars since this Sully's opened. I seriously have never had a bad experience. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I'm always asked about my day, and it's always a sincere conversation. You know what I mean. I've entered places where they drone, 'Welcome In' or 'Have a nice day'. Uggh! Again, Sully's is the real deal and they make you feel as if they were expecting you and happy you showed up. This is more than a gas station. Their store has goodies from many specialty places. From paleo brownies to Smith's and even cute flower bouquets. If you were in a pinch, it would be easy for you to find something here and it wouldn't look like you picked it up at a gas station store. Now, the iced tea. The kitchen hasn't been open, they have a combination lock on the restrooms like really. I use to frequently stop here but not so much anymore. Every single Sully's to me thus far is a 5 star! It is just a gas station, right?... but is it? NO! So much under 1 roof as far as beer, liquor, dairy, specialty foods. Bakeries are usually found inside. And, the best staff. We buy all of our gas at Chevron so it is nice to pull in to fuel and then head in-store to look, buy. This location has a deli and they give samples if you want to try! I tried some Asian chicken Salad and it was really good! They also carry Rosa bars (locally made popsicles with yummy flavors) so had to get one of these to try. I have a friend that never stops talking about them! When it comes to gas stations I look for two things: easy entry/exit and overall cleanliness/appearance. This Sully's knocks both out of the park. I'm going out on a limb here as a Starbucks junkie, but Sully's have great coffee. It actually tastes like it was made by a barista who cared. Yes. They still have pots of various coffees to fill your cup, but if you've got a few extra minutes, they also offer these super cool machines that grind the beans and freshly brew the cup of your size. You're still the one... that's most convenient to work. Still the one... that's well lit and clean. Still the one... with the conciliatory, good-natured clerks; especially the overnight shift ones: Alan, Josh, Alberto, Cortney (who all deserve pay increases) that keep me coming back day after day. Still the one... telling me that I need a Sully's card, although they see me almost daily. Still the one... challenging my will power with enticing junk food offers inside. WOW!! I'm he cleanest, nicest gas station convenience store I've ever been to. So clean, bright and so organized. Even the bathroom is sparkling clean. I am shocked at the wide range of drinks,beers/wine, they even have Veuve Clicquot champagne . Their ready made food choices are out of this world. Legit salad choices, hot food, desserts and fresh cookies and donuts. Oh yeah....they also have serious BBQ restaurant on one side. Kind, helpful cashier's. Helped with this online coupon we were flubbing on. It's a mini grocery, which is great for convenience. But you naturally have to pay for said convenience, so the prices are up, I'd say, 50% more on average of the items inside. More clean and spacious than I thought it'd be. Also, the Chevron pumps don't always have the best prices, but they do work. I swear I've pumped gas at other places and you get air/fumes or something. You barely gain from a $20, say. Been to the Sully's multiple times on stockdale and coffee. The assisted manager is one of the rudest and disrespectful people I've ever encountered at a Sullys gas station. If I knew her schedule I'd go when she's not there.... I have had the pleasure to meet Jeremy,Brittany and staff at this sully station,amazing people. But These two are the heart and soul the glue and foundation of this store.... I always look forward to talking to these two. They have away of lifting your spirits when you enter the store. In true Sully's fashion, this location does not disappoint! They are still undergoing a little construction on what appears to be a good service counter, but the gas pumps and store are open for business! As in other locations, this Sully's offers a slew of local faire such as Smith's, Prodonuts, Cotton Candy grapes, etc. along with your normal convenience store drinks and snacks. Oh. It's big, clean, well staffed, icee machines, lots of candy, excellent lighter selection, a variety of gummy candy, open 24/7, clean restrooms, great music playing (speakers in store, outside and bathroom all synced), and they had a full time guy cleaning who was outside when I came and watched my truck for me as I went to the restroom because my truck bed had my mountain bike and all of my camping stuff in it. This place has consistently had extremely rude customer service. I 100% respect private business policies but there is a way to approach your customers without making them feel embarrassed and publicly humiliated for what was a very innocent mistake. On Christmas Eve, I walked in and snapped a photo of some baked goods so my family could tell me what they wanted for Christmas dessert. It's 2021 we all do this everywhere at all stores. The cashier screamed in my face NO PHOTOs. I stood there stunned. I had no idea this was their store policy and she had zero empathy for something that everyone considers to be very normal. And on the eve of a holiday! I apologized and said, I am not photographing employees. The manager, Melissa, walked over and asked how she could helped. I explained calmly (especially since my dad was eagerly waiting a photo to pick out some baked goods). Melissa's face turned red and she raised her voice shaking her head. Absolutely NO PHOTOs. I asked why they had the policy because I was so confused at the anger I had triggered. She made up on the spot it was the supplier's policy. I told her that was not true because I had been going to this local bakery for 30 years taking photos at multiple locations. She squinted at me and turned her back. She refused to take my business and ignored me. This isn't the first time the cashiers have barked at my family members and myself to GET IN LINE. I always dreaded making a stop here but the location was just too convenient for me. This hostile treatment crossed the line for me. I sent an email to Sully's HQ. They said I should've been granted an exception to take a picture of the product since it didn't interfere with the spirit of their no photo policy. I'm also in contact with the supplier to explain how this business is misrepresenting them. The only time I've ever seen a NO PHOTO policy so strictly enforced was at the Van Gough museum where they politely directed patrons to replicas for selfies as to not damage original artwork. read more

So love the selection of this store! When it opened there were 5+ staff members there greeting you with a a healthy "hello", it was pretty awesome. Fast forward 6 months and you are looking at a 15min+, 5-8 person wait, to check out! Seriously, they have went from 5 people to 2! It's like being at the DMV. I hope someone with Sully's reads this and acts! You're about ready to lose my business. I can go across the street and literally spend the same time, maybe less, buying at Albertsons or Trader Joe's! The worst part is seeing other employees there on the phone or stocking, NOT helping with the checkout of others. Last date of service was 7/17 @ 1330... check your cameras. I personally typically go to the Sully's On Buena vista, but this Sully's is much larger and has a wider variety of merchandise. Inside you will find a Smith's bakery booth, Dewars ice cream, a wide variety of snacks (chips, candy, nachos etc), wide variety of liquor, and other goodies. I was thoroughly impressed by the wide variety of options each section contained, but the best part of this chevron is how incredibly clean they keep their stations. Nacho cheese dispensers, icees, drinks, coffee, and milkshake/smoothie bars are all self service and are maintained regularly. It really shows! I love how Sully's always has unique options one that really stood out to me in their self service drink station was a strawberry açaí drink (like Starbucks). I definitely need to come back and try that soon. Other fun, unique goodies they have are some Keto treats that are available in their prepared foods section. I don't think I've ever experienced a nicer looking gas station. They have a deli that serves good food, a Smith's Bakery outlet, lots of ice cream choices from Dewar's, a long counter top with loads of slush drink options, a beer cave, a milkshake making machine, and lots of local branded food items, including food from Luigi's and Muscle Grub. Oh and some very nice staff members, too. Also important, the bathrooms have been clean each and every time I've been in them.
