This is a great and affordable way to whiten your teeth. I have very sensitive teeth (I even use sensitive toothpaste) and only experienced minor tweaks of pain for 24 hours after treatment. I opted to do just two rounds of lower level strength treatment instead of three. While the results aren't as dramatic as if I'd done all three rounds, they are still noticeable and well worth the cost. And not having tough flashes of pain was totally worth it. By the way - your teeth hurt because the process dehydrates them. As your saliva remineralizes your teeth over the following 24ish hours post-treatment, the pain goes away. During this time it's also important not to drink or eat anything that, if spilled on your shirt, would cause a stain. So if you must have coffee (raises hand) or wine (raises other hand), drink through a straw for a day or two. Also look online before you call to book. They offer lots of great specials. Scott, the technician, was GREAT. Friendly, efficient, prompt, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him. He states he uses the strongest peroxide in town. You could see immediate results which I was THRILLED with. With Scott, you could do this session at your lunch break and know you would run on time. No zingers during the session or bleach burns on my gums. The zingers did set in and my teeth and bones ached for the next 48 hrs, which is opposite of what I remembered from my dentist (where the zingers/aching happened in office, and faded when I went home.) A few days later my teeth don't seem quite as bright as when I left his office despite having stayed away from all staining food and beverages- but I think that is the case with all teeth whitening, and they are still whiter than before. My teeth are still stained quite at the base of each tooth- like he avoided putting peroxide near that area to avoid the gumline. So why only 3 stars? Well, after you book, you get an email telling you that if you book on Groupon, he isn't paid for his time and service, and you should tip based off of the $299 retail price, cash preferred but credit card accepted. Although a necessary email, it was just a bad first impression- I've never had to tip my dentist, so I wasn't expecting additional monetary expense. And though teeth whitening is now considered a "spa and salon" service, (which apparently is why you can do it outside of the dentist office and why you are expected to tip) the office was not spa like. It was a rented space with fluorescent lighting and two client beds right next to each other- a lackluster and plain setup for a "spa", and zilch privacy. There was no curtain or wall to separate you from the other client, and the door is often left open for those in the hallway to see you. All in all, still a great deal, with good results. Will I come back? Probably. But be forewarned that you are expected to tip $50 - $60. read more

Scott the whitening technician is the best. He explains everything really well and talks you through the whole process and what to expect. He is very polite and professional and constantly checks up on how you are doing. If your teeth hurt a little afterwards that is expected and it honestly varies person to person. I had a couple "zingers" shoot through my bottom teeth 2 hours after but it's very transient. Scott follows everything down to a T with the gel application and does ask if you've had whitening in the past as well as any history of tooth sensitivity. I made the mistake of going through groupon. It honestly is a disservice to them so please purchase whitening sessions directly from them.They offer really good deals and really incentivize you to come back. I will definitely be returning. Remember they are a teeth whitening boutique not a dentist' office so please tip the technician. It's just good form. Went to see Scott? today. The deal I found online was so affordable, so I decided to give it a try. It was only $50. The night before my appointment I read all these horror stories online about how teeth whitening can be very painful for days after the procedure. I was so scared I almost canceled my appointment, but I'm so glad that I didn't. I asked Scott if he had a really low dose of the bleach because I have porous teeth and some of my gums may have receded from over-brushing. He was very comforting and explained how we had many options. The bleach levels were 16, 20 and 30. I wanted 16 but he thought that I could handle 20 for two rounds, with minimal pain. I said ok. The normal dose is three rounds of 30--and yes, I'm a big wuss when it comes to pain! Lol My teeth went from yellow to white. And 4 hours later, I still have no pain. My friend did the highest dose and three rounds. She said she feels a little pain but it is not bad. She did not even take her Advil. I will post a photo so you can see the results. It is not bright white, and I wish I had done three rounds, but that's ok. There's always next time. Right now they are a natural white color. The roots of my teeth on the bottom row and on my canines are a little less white than the rest, but that's my fault. I should have done three rounds. My teeth look so pretty now and there is visible improvement. And, the most important thing for me is that there is no pain or sensitivity! I used to use the Philips Zoom kit long ago--and that did hurt after each application. However, Xpress Whitening does not hurt at all. So happy to have found this place! Oh, one last thing to mention.. I did notice the use of UV light. So maybe it can't hurt to pile on a bunch of SPF 50+ on your face right before the procedure? This is my second time having teeth laser whitened with Scott. First time was 3-4 years ago. I am going to try and come yearly or semi annually going forward. You can always get the $49 deal so it's affordable. Scott does a great job explaining everything and everything is very clean/sterile. I can't imagine how many q-tips he goes through each day, which he uses to apply gel as well as a protectant for gums/lips. Personally, I choose the strongest gel b/c I don't mind dealing with a few shooting pains and sensitivity for 24 hours post whitening. I've never had any issue with gel during whitening process either. The process itself, 3 back to back applications at 20 mins each, is pretty boring b/c you're sitting there for 60 mins with your mouth propped wide open, and you can't really relax b/c you have to keep your head/mouth positioned with the light. It's hard to look at phone so bring headphones and listen to something. I'm not going to lie, the time does not go by fast, but it's only an hour of your life and works way better than any other at home whitening. read more

Scheduled an appt for today for my husband and I using their online system , used voucher and the link on voucher to choose appointments. When we arrived told I would have to pay $50 more because the way the appointment was booked even though I used THEIR on line system to book. I had an okay experience here. My teeth were definitely whiter, but not as much as i expected. I also had a lot of pain that night, almost like when you put a popsicle on a very sensitive tooth kind of shocking pain randomly in all of my teeth. i had an A+ experience today with Scott. I've had my teeth done twice before at two other places, one being a dentist office and the other being a clinic like this. the other places both burned my gums (turned them white and painful)! Scott was so careful to protect every bit of my gums and i didn't feel a single thing the entire session (and i did the full 60 minutes with full strength) except when i accidentally got a bit of the gel on the tip of my tongue. but that didn't hurt, it was just a very slight tingly sensation that i could very easily ignore. he also gives you a buzzer you can click to alert him if you have any discomfort at all; he will be in the room the entire time, which is a lot more than i could say for the previous places I've been to that leave you all alone with no way to alert anyone if you had any issues! he had personal headphones and remotes and tvs so you can watch Netflix or Hulu or any number of other options i didn't even have time to try. he is VERY thorough in answering any questions and concerns you may have (he has no problems stopping the process at any point! he wants you to be comfortable!), and he will also give you his cell number in case you need to ask him anything afterwards. he also stocks sensitive toothpaste and take-home bleaching kits and charcoal paste (and probably more things i didn't see) if any of that is something you'd want to buy. he is very kind and personable and will chat with you if you'd like or if you're the quiet type then that's fine too! it's all about your comfort here. i will definitely be back here in one month and i will be recommending him to all my friends. if you use a Groupon, please tip the customary 10-20%! and actually calling him instead of buying it on Groupon will cost you the same price but he will get an extra cut of the money that Groupon normally charges businesses. i can't recommend him enough! great experience! read more
