Hobby airport is a joke. The AC isn't working. Flight is delayed thank god I remembered I had the priority pass! Free 25 min chair massage. Destiny is a top notch pro! She took good care of us. Even brought us a fan to help with the heat. She is an absolute professional and I highly suggest you give them a try. They do massages and more here. This chair feels amazing. We needed this. 4 stars for the customer service. My girl Rugama was so nice. I had a 5 hour layover and decided to get my nails done to kill time. I got the xpress nails service but didn't realize the price was starting at $35. I ended up paying $50 plus a $10 tip, I chose red since I'm going to Miami for the Virgin cruise. Rugama was nice and friendly. Both she and I didn't realized she missed a finger for topcoat and instead of playing it off and sending me on my way she let me know a finger was missed and she was going to reapply on all the fingers which I appreciated. I thought I had a great experience. It lasted maybe half an hour. Once I left and started walking around I started to think maybe the nails didn't.. what's the word... cure all the way? That or the gel polish they use it cheap. It doesn't give me the same shiny feel as usual. Still, a good experience but an okay job. read more

Funny enough while its super busy at the airport (depending when you go) it was actually enough of an ambiance for you to relax and enjoy the work getting done. Across Gate 44 inside Hobby Airport. Knowing I had a layover, I checked to see if there was a place to get my nails done. Found this place. I called to make an appointment. First come, first serve.. but the woman I spoke to took note of what time I would arrive, name and phone number. I only took the no appointment to the brain. Didn't realize she was holding a spot for me until I got a voicemail saying hello, I'll have to give your spot away. But I was already there not knowing there was a spot held for me. I got a mani/pedi. Regular polish had a regular and a long lasting option. I thought that was odd because wouldn't everyone go the long lasting route? I chose long lasting and long lasting polish didn't last the day. It was good service and the pedi massage chair was nice. The polish on my hands started fading away though (no base coat).. not chip but fade. Toes lasted longer (base coat). I wasn't doing anything extra with my hands. I was traveling so if anything, it was doing less. read more

I know I look young and I was dressed casually, so I was told I would be next, ignored and when I passed by the location to look in again, the woman who had signed up after me was in getting a manicure, perhaps because she was older and put together. I just paid $60 for a gel manicure that looks horrible. The manicurist was nice , however her expertise was evident in results. There was wade of cotton in the gel polish and I would have keep telling her to pick it off of my nails. She cut my cuticles after painting my nails.... which through off the quality of work. I have crooked painted nails now. I kept expressing my dislike of how the nails were looking, they kept assuring me it would look better. I'm super unhappy with the out one and when I brought it up at the end, the associate checking me out said she'd bring up to her managers attention. I will never run the gamble of getting my nails done at this location. I hope everyone else doesn't make the same mistake. read more

Amazingly unprofessional conduct by employee! Upon arrival at IAH, I made my way over to XpresSpa. It was 6:45 pm. The place was open and lit up but completely deserted. I gathered from a handwritten note on one of the massage room doors that someone might be back at 7:20. After checking online to see if there were other locations, I trekked over to gate E1. Alas, the rumored second XpresSpa location was a myth. I made it back to the real(???) location at 7:15. True to the note's words, someone arrived after a few minutes. He asked what he could do for us (there was, by now, a crowd waiting with me), and when I said, "Manicure, please," he said, "Nope!" I blinked and said, "For real?" He said, "No nails after 6.... I'm gonna go take a shower...." And he disappeared (again). So beware, future evening travelers, despite the signage saying the XpresSpa is open (until 12:30 am even!), it is not. If an employee manages to be present, perhaps you can get a massage; whether said employee has showered yet is up to fate to decide. read more

When I arrived at the Houston Airport, my plane was delayed and I found myself with a ton of time. I was in need of some pampering after a work conference trip so I decided to find the nearest XpresSpa. What was really nice was that even though the XpresSpa was not at my terminal, the transportation at the Houston Airport is such a breeze that it only took me about 7 minutes to get to the terminal that has the spa so it was well worth the trek over. When I arrived to XpresSpa, there was a 20 minute wait for my pedi but I was able to sit in one of the giant massaging recliners while I waited. This was amazing! My pedi started in exactly 20 minutes, just as promised. It was the traditional pedicure, warm foot bath, massage, painting of the nails...but what was so impressive was that I thought for sure that since this was an airport spa, there is no way it would be as wonderful as I am used to at home spas, but I was dead wrong. My pedicure was so wonderfully pampering and indulging, and now a week and a half later, my toes are still beautifully painted and my feet are still amazingly soft. The only negative, although not worth a star deduticon was the price but it is to be expected for the convenience of being pampered at an airport. It was well worth every penny! read more

Great end to a vacation during a 3 hour layover. There was no wait at 7:40pm(they are open till 10 on Mondays). I got a 30 minute neck and back massage from Kevin. He did a wonderful job of loosening up knots in my neck and back. I asked for more pressure and he came with it. He even worked on the shoulder pain I forgot to mention. Definitely worth it. Had a few hours to enjoy during a layover at Houston International Airport. Was feeling tired, and run down with a walking flu/cold. Nikki treated me to my first facial massage, to relieve sinus pressure. I was hesitant, but she has wonderful hands, felt really, really nice! I attribute this short session, and my daily handstand practice to almost have eliminated my symptoms . Thanks Nikki! We arrive at XpresSpa and the receptionist tells my friend and I that it will be an hour wait to get manis and pedis. She explains that there is only 1 tech working and there was already someone ahead of us...another tech was scheduled to arrive at 12 noon.....3 hours from then. Seriously? I am a huge fan of XpresSpa and everytime I have a layover in an airport with an XpresSpa...I make it a point to visit because of their great service, pricing and I always leave feeling like a new woman....ooohhh so disappointing. read more

I will say prepare your pockets - it's a bit overpriced, but I think you can expect that buying literally anything at an airport. I was so happy to find a spa in this airport - with a six hour layover and work first thing in the morning, I wanted nothing more than to get my nails cleaned up after two weeks of vacation activities beating them up. Only to find that Xpres Spa doesn't do acrylics! I actually just wanted the acrylics removed and my real nails polished, but no go. Disappointing to say the least! So I decided to get a gel manicure because I had a stop in Houston. The lady on the cashier told me the wait is five minutes but the 5 minutes turned into 15 minutes. Soooo, this is the first time when getting a mani 1. They don't ask me to wash my hands 2. Massage my hands 3. Put lotion and much more. As I'm sitting in my flight on my way to Frankfort, my grandma said "it doesn't look like you got your nails done." I looked over and I was disappointed. My wife and I were there before 8:30AM without any appointment and they could not have been more accommodating. The massage chairs that we used were fresh, clean, and just what we needed! This is by far the worse massage I ever gotten in my life. I'm. Not kidding, this one is for the books. The lady that did my 30 minute massage clearly has never done this before. I get massages often and you can tell when someone knows what they are doing . My 10 year old gives better massages My guess is the real person that gives massages was not In. My suggestion as that you ask first if they have an experience massage person. I honestly believe the person I got never done a massage in her life, she should have just come clean and say their massage person was not in and save me the money and her the embarrassment of pretending that she knew what the heck she was doing. The front counter lady was super nice and feel bad for her as she had to ask if I wanted to leave tip, omg a tip! I got a Mani and Pedi... for $70+ you would expect good service... On the plus side - it is clean and relatively fast and they let you sit on the message chairs while you dry . A few things to note: 1. They do not have actual foot tubs so you place your feet in bowls... if you need to move at all - you get yelled at for splashing. 2. Apparently they cannot use any knife or sharp object to clean toe nails or cut cuticles as they do not have a license for it. They do not tell you that.. not exactly a mani or pedi at that point - I would have just gotten a polish change at half the price. 3. I get it that Salons are known for gossiping - chat amongst yourselves... all good with me - but when it is so loud I cannot read and I put ear phones in; it does not require you smacking my feet when I need to move - I was told "clearly you are not paying attention and just tuning me out"... well yes - I thought it was supposed to be a nice relaxing experience - my bad. The receptionist was lovely. When asked if I was happy and said - not so much... she said- oh - that's too bad - think my guy was the manager - even scarier. read more

Thank goodness I found this spot in Terminal D, but it wasn't easy. Very relaxing hour including manicure and pedicure and a massage chair that actually feels great. Very helpful staff and good selection of OPI nail colors. I didn't see this place on IFly.com which is a shame. If you're in another terminal and have a little time, shuttle service will get you to terminal D in just a couple of minutes. Hopefully Yelp can help get the word out. read more

Fortunately, MY experience here happenned to be wayyyyyy better than my fellow Yelpers!!! The male receptionist was hospitable, accommodating, and friendly...and my 15 min chair massage by Laura was like heaven! I had XPRESSed to her that I had had a slight lingering headache for a few days due to sleeping in a weird position (I had a neck ache that progressed into a headache because of it). Anyway, I'm a person who likes a good deep tissue massage and that's exactly what I had received. I was very happy to pay the $35 (a tad bit expensive for a 15 min CHAIR massage, but I WAS at an airport AND she made my headache disappear) and tipped generously. read more
