Unfortunately, what should have been a routine $42 car wash turned into a very disappointing and costly experience. After the wash was completed, a supervisor, Marvin Cornejo, brought me over to my vehicle and informed me that they could not get the driver-side window to roll back up. There were also clear signs that the driver-side power window switch had been pried on in an apparent attempt to get the window working again. Prior to bringing my vehicle to Yates, I had never experienced any issues with the windows or electrical system. To their credit, the staff apologized at the time, took photographs of the damage, and completed an incident report. I was told that the owner would be contacting me to discuss the damage and how the situation would be handled. It has now been a week, and I have received no follow-up whatsoever. Because I was trading the Durango in that same day, the damage directly affected the condition of the vehicle and resulted in a $500 reduction in my trade-in value. So, in the end, a $42 wash plus the $5 tip I gave the staff cost me an additional $500. The wash itself was fine, and I understand that accidents can happen. What I find unacceptable is the lack of accountability and follow-through afterward. If your business damages a customer's vehicle, documents the incident, and tells the customer that the owner will contact them, following through should be the bare minimum. Receiving no communication at all only adds insult to injury. I purchased my new vehicle later that same day, and based on this experience, I will not be bringing it to Yates Car Wash Detail Center. Unfortunately, I also cannot recommend Yates to others. Accidents happen. How a business responds when they happen says far more about the business than the accident itself. In this case, the lack of communication and accountability has been extremely disappointing.

I asked to be transferred to whoever was on site, and she said she couldn't do that. The receptionist was extremely polite, but didn't have the information to be helpful. After reading another review about the mechanic trying to trick the customer into an unnecessary brake job after an inspection, I'm going somewhere else.

I really had no clue at all that this shop is a full service Auto repair shop. I think the name on the sign and the mounds and mounds of tires throws a lot of people off I'm thinking that they only fix tires or sell used ones. I really got along with the main mechanic there, so when my car needed brakes, he was the first mechanic that came to my mind. Everyone who I had dealings with at this Auto shop exhudes honesty and genuineness. I appreciate those qualities in every business that I work with. Brought in my 2014 Volvo S60 for an oil change, state inspection, emissions test, and to fix the…read morecheck engine light that would've made me fail said emissions test (the code read that my air flow was too lean in my fuel). Problem number 1: the "complimentary inspection" was free, however them actually diagnosing the problem was a whopping $219.46. So, then the inspection was not free at all. Problem number 2: the quoted me at $2900 dollars to do the bear MINIMUM of repairs (air/fuel induction service, replacing an 02 sensor, MAF cleaning). Took it to another place, and I only needed to do ONE of those things for $300. Problem number 3: They insisted on me replacing my crankshaft main oil seal which would have cost me another $5000 dollars. Problem number 4: when I said this was way too much money for what I needed as I stated when I walked in that I only needed whatever had to be done to pass inspections and testing for registration and that I would come back to get my car, my Lyft to get there that is supposed to be paid for was not. They did pay for my one home, but not for the one back. Problem number 5: I only asked them to look at 2 specific things, the oil and my O2 issue, however they decided to also try having me pay another $10,000 in preventative maintenance services. problem number 6: They performed a service without asking me when I had clearly told them not to perform any service on my car after they provided the prices to me. However, they still performed the oil change anyway and charged me $119.95 for it. So despite me not wanting ANY service done, I still had to pay $389.53 just to get my car back and take it to another place. I simply cannot recommend this business to anyone when this is the kind of treatment and prices. If I had gone along with their business they were providing, I would've paid for more money in services than I would have just buying the car. I bought this car for $14,000. They were wanting to have me pay over $1500 more than what my car was even worth when I had purchased it. Save yourself the headache and wallet pain and go somewhere else.
