Wife and I called ahead for a full body massage and they got us in within an hour, we needed time to get there. When we arrived they asked if we wanted the deep tissue massage, so we agreed. They took us to a room with two tables, it was quiet and calming with faint music playing in the background. They started the massage and it was amazing, we told each other why haven't we don't this more. Will definitely go back again! It was $120 for both of us for an hour, plus $10 each for the deep tissue massage. So $140 total, we also left both of them with a nice tip. Would highly recommend this place. read more

The night before last, I was in pain.  I couldn't raise my arm over my head, I couldn't extend my arm to the side, I couldn't turn my head side to side, my shoulder blade burned like fire.  It was a miserable sleepless night.  Yesterday morning my husband convinced me to go see Mary at Y&R Spa, and I reluctantly agreed.   When we arrived, Mary questioned me about the pain I was having and told me what she thought the source of the pain was, then proceeded with a deep tissue massage.  She was meticulous in treating the painful areas, and identified other areas which I hadn't even realized were painful.  Mary communicated with me throughout the massage, inquiring about my comfort and pain levels.  After the massage, she advised me to stay hydrated, rest, etc., and sent me on my way. 24 hours later, I AM PAIN FREE. I found Mary to be knowledgeable about the human body and the science of massage.  She is compassionate and caring, always expressing concern for your comfort and pain level. Her technique was perfect. Maybe more importantly Mary is a genuinely nice person; a truly sweet soul. I recommend Y&R Spa without reservation. read more

I had a foot massage, and she was very good, very attentive and very professional. The only drawback which was no big deal was that they didn't have any partitions so as soon as someone walks in they can see you getting a foot massage. Today, 12/14, was my birthday so I booked a 60 minute body massage and a 30 minute foot massage. I'm new to the area and thought I'd try this place out since it's close by and had good reviews. The online booking process was easy and I didn't have any issues when I showed up. I did place a call though after booking online to confirm my appointment since one review mentioned a bad experience booking online. It's easy to locate and an easy free parking lot. I was taken aback when I arrived and the woman who greeted me confirmed my appointment and the services that I was receiving. She then proceeded to tell me the total would be $80. Okay, no problem. She then asked me to pay upfront. I go to the spa regularly and have for years. I have NEVER been asked to pay upfront. I thought it odd but whatever. Honestly, I wonderd if it was because I was Black but didn't want to make the situation racial if unnecessary. I pulled out my card to pay her and then she says "oh you pay with card it's a $2 fee". Again, odd but whatever. Definitely not a nicer type of spa so maybe they need the credit card fee. I went between a 2 and 3 star rating for my experience. I gave a 3 star rating to try to be fair because I think the level of massage skill is good in itself. However, the experience is most certainly 1-2 stars. My massage therapist stopped my massage and left the room twice to greet people as they entered. Again, a first for me. I've never had anyone stop in the middle of my massage not to mention TWICE. Then, she was coughing badly so she left out a THIRD time. Coughing right now during COVID is a no-no and especially while you're servicing clients in such a personal way. Disclosure, she was wearing a mask and so was I but still. Then, I have no idea if she sanitized her hands when she left the room due to her coughing fit. She said it was allergies and that a product she uses whenever she smells it, it makes her allergies flare up. So perhaps you should stop using that particular product ‍ Just a thought. Then, when she held the product in her hand it was Vaseline. Are you kidding me, did you just massage me with Vaseline!?!? All of this was distracting from what was meant to be a relaxing birthday spa day. Also, her phone kept going off on vibrate but it had a buzz or ding at the end of it. She also answered the business phone once and took an appointment during my massage. Now that I'm recapturing all of this, I'm definitely giving a 2 star rating. Sheesh, what a mess. Too bad because the massage itself truly wasn't bad but I won't be returning. Now I see why both services were only $80 in total, you get what you pay for. read more

I never leave a review but this was one of the best deep tissue massage I've ever had and I have been to hundreds due to my occupation and my bad back. Almost didn't leave this review in order to keep this place a secret for myself but I hope others can benefit from Y&R. read more

When I arrived & said I had an appt, the lady looked beyond confused & told me they don't check online, come back in an hour.
