I visited this massage location in Redlands on Colton Street on May 31st around 7:30 p.m., hoping…read moreto relieve some lower back pain. The receptionist was kind, and after a brief discussion, I chose a one-hour deep tissue massage. Unfortunately, the experience was terrible. The therapist used excessive pressure, which made my pain worse, and she placed hot stones on my back without checking the temperature, causing a burn. I tried to express my discomfort, but she didn't understand English, so I couldn't stop her. After the session, I spoke with an older gentleman at the front desk. Once I paid, he asked if I would leave a tip. I declined, and he became outraged. I told him that a tip is optional, not mandatory, and that the reason I wasn't leaving a tip was because the massage was horrible, and the service was poor. He didn't like my response; he told me I was the worst type of person, that my kind of people were horrible, and he launched into a series of racist insults, disparaging Mexico and Mexican people, calling us the worst. He refused to return my card, even though it was rightfully mine. When I threatened to call the police, he doubled down, asking invasive questions about my citizenship, all while continuing to disparage Mexico. Only when I started recording him did he backpedal, claiming he had no issue with Mexicans. Eventually, another staff member, presumably the owner, stepped in, calmed him down, and gave me my card. This was a deeply distressing experience, and I strongly urge others to stay away from this business. Everyone deserves respect, and this establishment failed on every level.

So the next time I went, I requested for him to see for myself. This man knew what he was doing. He like opened up my chakra lol I honestly felt like I was getting my money's worth. I tipped him $20 for a 60 min $60 deep tissue massage. That was more than 18% tip. I hope he really appreciated that, because I can tell he works hard and he knew where all my tension were and nailed it. Thank you Tom I feel like I'm young again.. for a day!

However, once we entered, it was hard to communicate with The man who was giving my friend's massage hardly did anything; he barely touched her and didn't really provide a massage at all. Within 10 minutes, he had already moved on to her face, neck, and head. My friend asked for a refund, but they pretended not to understand her. They were helping other customers but ignored her plea for assistance. It took about 10 minutes to find someone who could translate for us. I definitely wouldn't recommend getting a massage from the older gentleman; he was very rude and dismissed my friend's concerns, simply walking away. After another 20 minutes of discussions about what my friend wanted, they tried to take her to a back room for a different type of massage. All she wanted was the same massage I was receiving. After about 15 minutes of back-and-forth, they finally sent someone out to give her the massage. Now I'm in my car waiting for her to finish because they took so long to sort things out. I have to say my massage was good despite all the distractions. They also need to put a curtain in front of the door. They do have a curtain, but it's open, letting in sunlight, and they leave the door open, allowing all the traffic noise to come in. I can hear a homeless man outside yelling and cursing; there's music playing inside, but it's pointless if you can still hear all the outside commotion.
