It's not to expect fancy top notch place BUT don't judge a books by its cover. The therapeutic Massage was great. The lady basically targeted my areas of tension and dissolved TONZ of knots. Working out and sitting most of the days due to work has caused alot of t nation on my lower back, shoulders and neck. The lady made sure to target those points. She is really strong the pressure was at some point a bit painful but she does asked if you are okay or if you would like for her to adjust the pressure. The she proceeded to do a whole body massage I to wrap it up. No oils, no lotion, nothing special used BUT if you ask that might be extra?! Not sure. Called and asked if they did chair massages (like the ones in the mall). They said yes and said $60 for 30 mins. I arrived and it was an odd room. Didn't see a massage chair. The lady came out and directed me to a stool (I'm 6'-02" and this thing looked like it was made for a child) I sat with my head against the wall as the lady shoulder slammed me for about 15 minutes, thrusting my skull into the dry wall with every John Cena elbow blow. Then she directed me behind a curtain and had me remove my T-shirt. She proceeded to use only her elbows and I'm not sure she's aware there are bones in your back because she just continued to drive her elbow into my spine and shoulder blades. I've had some DEEP tissue massages but this was something else. Like legit painful and not in a good way. Legit almost ended before the massage was over because I was clinging for life with my toes in the bed and I think my nose was being broken slowly as I laid face down attempting to contact a higher being. And for her final form of torture... she drove her elbow directly into a muscle I learned was called the Fibularis longus...without any warning...like a WWE match WAMMMMM!!! I quite literally kicked with my other leg, and I apologize if I struck her, but it was completely involuntary. Only reason they got 2 stars and not 1 is because I think the knot in my back is gone. When we were waiting, we heard the conversation of the customer before us, and after she pay, they were asking for a tip and got frustrated cause the lady has no cash on her. Same thing happened to us because when we only tip $10, the lady in the front is asking for more, which is a bit rude or unprofessional cause we don't have any cash but she was like forcing us to give more. The gentleman asked me what massage I wanted and also asked what areas I needed more focus on. I had been here a long time ago and as compared to the ones I go to in the San Gabriel Area, this place needs a lot of improvements. I tried them again out of necessity and the first time I came back, Michael gave me a deep tissue massage. That was very good. A few days ago, my neck and back was hurting and I really need relief. Michael was busy with a customer so out of necessity, I tried Mimi, the only choice I had. 1. Communication- only the owner Michael seems to understand English. The only other person I see there with him is Mimi, who you absolutely you can't talk to and can't even understand simple verbal and non verbal cues. Therefore, when Michael is working on a client, you are left with Mimi. Then you are left alone with her. How then can you tell her where you hurt or when to tone down the strength? 2. Mimi- I agree with the other review that I left there hurting more than when I started. I was so unhappy with her service. She is definitely not gentle even when just putting your arm sideways. She's just too rough. For me to say that is quite extreme because I want deep tissue and not afraid of it but she delivered too much pain. There is a good pain butall she delivered was real pain. She needs to tone it down a bit and sometimes when she's resting her arm while working on an area, she is putting pressure also on my spine, which I am very protective of. Instead of being able to relax and my neck to be relieved of life's pressure, I was just relieved it was over. 3. Need more personnel. There is no choice when I want Michael to work on my back and he's working, then I am stuck with Mimi. ‍ and we are back to #2. 4. Tipping- After my painful experience with Mimi, I was left with a question of, should I tip her or not; I did, but obviously not my usual minimum of $10. She understood that due to her reaction. She gave me a puzzled look and a grunt-like sound to show her disappointment. Well she didn't even deserve a tip. Now the good points bc I don't want to leave just all negative points. 1. Michael is really good. I would probably go back IF I AM ASSURED IT WAS HIM WHO WILL HANDLE ME. 2. The place is clean and even the bathroom is okay. 3. My sister and I did the "Pamper Me Massage" (120 minutes for $60), and in the end, we were both pretty disappointed. The massage therapist didn't touch my shoulders at all, the foot massage was good, however when we turned around for the back massage, we weren't taken to the private room as it states on the paper and all she did was press down on my back - no massage, no pressure. My sister also did not receive any massage to her shoulders and her massage therapist used paper towels to wipe her feet down. After I paid for my massage, I wasn't sure who my massage therapist was to tip her, so I asked the receptionist. The lady next to her who I assumed was my therapist kept saying "me me me", took the money, and then proceeded to walk away without even a "thank you." I also had another sister who came with us who wasn't able to be seen because she didn't call ahead of time. There is a man & a woman who are always at front desk, barely speak English and NOT professional at all. I have never been to a spa were they place a towel over your eyes so you cannot see who is massaging you. I did not specify man or woman. However, after the foot reflexology, the massage began and started to feel uncomfortable, like hands were becoming inappropriate, touching too close to my private areas. In the past, I had frequently visited here due to working long hours. As uneasy as I felt, I will NEVER step foot in here. When it was finished, I saw the man who did the massage, he looked like a damn pervert with a grin (like he got off on touching you)! I was so upset, I couldn't find my husband so I had to search for him in parking lot, the creepy man followed me asking for $10 tip, I told my husband to give him $5. If you're used to getting a cheap but good massage, then this is the place for you. If you like top dollar or even moderately expensive places with "good service", then this is not the place for you. I'm used to foot massage places like this and this is one of the best I've been to. This place gets to the point. No small talk. No extra smiles. No serving water. If they do, then they're in a good mood and you caught them on a good day. I like that it's not too busy here. I grew up in an area where massages like this are saturated. There's one at every corner. I've been to many of them and this is the most quiet which is nice because it's easy to get a walk in appointment right away and the masseuse is great too, hit's the spot without hurting you, I'm a pretty sensitive girl for the most part. I love my job but if it wasn't for Michael and his team at Sole So Happy I would not have the endurance to run a mile a minute in Cabazon like I do. I try to get the 80 minute massage once a month and it keeps me going. Michael, the owner, is so friendly and runs a professional massage salon here in Beaumont. I'm proud to say that we have such an amazing establishment here. I've traveled all over the world have have received my best massages here at SSH. Pamper Me Please! One of the best massages I've ever received & it wasn't a massage. Does that make sense? This place is an experience - I wanted a private room so I opted for the Pamper me package and so glad I did! I've been traveling for a week and wanted to just detox and relax. The guy (didn't get his name, wish I had) helped me relax and literally felt my entire body detoxing while he messaged me. Tried this place today after hearing from several people that it was a great deal. It is a great deal. 1 hour head neck shoulders and feet for $25. I asked for medium hard and it was a little painful at times but I feel great now hours later. The front desk misunderstood that we wanted the $25 not the $35 which is more of a full body. They charged us for the $35 but as soon as we mentioned we had asked for the $25 one he gave us our $10 back. I thought that was great customer service. Very quiet, comfortably cold, nice massage beds. One little warning if you do get the full body that does include your butt. Which is fine and normal but I was just a little surprised. This establishment was by far the cheapest location in the area for a massage. The place was dimly lit more to mask the environment of a wholesale massage parlor than for the sense of privacy/ intimacy it is supposed to invoke.The staff spoke broken English at best, which made communication difficult (which I was led to believe they used to their advantage [more on that later]). The professionalism of the masseuses servicing my dad (the dude left for 15 minutes of the session, just up and left!) and I (he dug his elbow into the top of my spine, and went back to it after I told him how painful that felt) was unbelievably terrible. They spoke in their native language during our session, were joking and laughing which made us feel more uneasy than comforting (like being on the outside of an inside joke). Finally when it came time to pay the bill for the shoddy service, it was the masseuses handling the transaction; which they made an uncomfortable situation when I chose not to leave a tip. They were frequently trying to goad me into leaving one (astonished that I chose to pay without leaving a tip, and insisting even after I zero'd out the tip, and finally following us outside to make a verbal confrontation about it). Sadly, Moral of the story: you get what you pay for. This experience has taught me to be wary of inexpensive locales and consider moderately valued establishments in the future.
