Although I've been coming here for years, they've gone down hill. Now it's Constant misinformation and they are not very helpful. Reception and the ARPN informed me that the first nurse Clarissa was new and must have given me misinformation. The staff was really nice but we literally waited over an hour for an appointment. They just kept saying the doctor was coming in the room! It was super frustrating because my daughter gets anxious in a small room which we waited in for over 30 minutes on top of being in the waiting room for over 30 minutes. I'm not sure why the have one doctor on such a busy day but if they can't handle the appointments don't make them. We have things to do today that we are now late for. read more

Went in with an upper respiratory infection, something i get pretty much annually. I know exactly which antibiotic works 100% every time, and that steroids and inhalers NEVER have worked in the past. Doctor ignores patient history and input, and goes on to prescribe EXACTLY what i told WOULD NOT WORK. Guess what? Three days later I now have pneumonia. DIdn't have it when I went in, and had I been given an antibiotic like i asked, I wouldn't have it. Then realized that the last time I was prescribed a steroid and an inhaler, it was this same idiot that gave them to me years back. Guess I forgot how much this place sucked. read more

I booked a last minute appointment on a Friday evening because I couldn't get in with my PC. I was in terrible pain from a sinus infection. I was surprised they had lots of appointments available and the waiting room is practically empty. After my experience there I found out why no one wants to come here. The receptionist was difficult and had so many things I needed to fill out, more than usual for urgent care, and she had a terrible demeanor. She acted like I was trying to get free care. I have active health insurance, do you treat everyone who comes in like a low life? I was the only person there and I waited a good 20 minutes to be seen. I first saw the intake person and she was very focused on having me take a covid/flu test. I refused because I didn't have covid symptoms. I had a sinus infection. The PA came in next and she also was focused on having me covid/flu tested. And finally, the doctor came in and said she would refuse to treat me unless I got a covid test and treated me like some drug addict just trying to get her to prescribe me antibiotics? Why on earth would I be wanting antibiotics unless I needed them? In the end she prescribed a nasal spray to me and told me they would continue to refuse giving me antibiotics unless I took a covid test, even if I came back in a few days with the same sinus infection symptoms. I ended up at the pharmacy to pick up my prescription and the pharmacist couldn't even give it to me because the doctor prescribed me some COPD medication with major side effects by mistake. The pharmacist said they'd have to call them the next day to get it fixed because they weren't picking up the phone. What a waste of time. Don't bother with this place. I'd give zero stars if I could. A few days later I needed to get a CT scan and the doctor asked if I was aware that I had a severe sinus infection. I told him I went to urgent care and they denied me treatment. He put me on antibiotics immediately and referred me to an ENT. No covid test required and much more professional than the staff at PhysicianOne in Derby, CT. read more

The staff was very nice. I went in for some ear pressure issues (couldn't hear anymore for the last few days). I was concerned there was an infection. The doctor took one look and knew what was wrong. About 20 minutes of ear irrigation and I was on my way! Cost me $130 (No Insurance) My ears are still ringing from all the water getting blasted in my ears but it's so much better than before! read more

They emailed us the forms to sign within seconds of being there, it felt very clean and the nurse Melanie was phenomenal. She was quick and gentle with the swab and comforting. Was very upset with my visit today. Did not like the doctor. I went because my primary doctor was not in and I didn't want to go to the ER and wait hours when a doctor here can help. Today I started to feel awful around 3:30. I felt like I was burning up even with the AC on, I felt very nauseous and my heart rate had seemed to go up. I left work early and my sister drove me. When they told me the wait was 50 minutes I was ok with that. When I finally was called in the doctor asked me what was wrong and I began to tell her what I was feeling. I told her I came here because I wanted to make sure I wasn't having heart attack or something. (My symptoms related to that. Right away she told me I have to go to the ER to find that out whats wrong. they don't deal with stuff like that the hospital does. Then she asked me how do I know my blood pressure was high and I explained to her I didnt feel myself and my heart was racing and I got a fever out of nowhere. She was very aggressive. I am aware of what Urgent Care does but I wanted my blood pressure checked by a professional, my temp checked and pulse and heart rate. I could have just been catching a bad flu, cold I dont know, thats why I came. Im not a doctor she is! I had no idea what was wrong with me I just know I did not feel good! I come to that urgent care all the time, the doctors ive had before have always been able to help me advice wise even if it was something that I need to go to the hospital for the other nurses and staff have always been great. I have mixed feelings about this place. Came in early this morning to make sure I would be first in line so that I didn't have to wait. As expected I was taken right in. I have been having signs of strep throat/flu and wanted to be tested. They tested me for strep. The test came back negative. Why not also check for flu while I was there? I'm not a doctor and had no idea how similar the symptoms of the two are. And then they sent me on my way. When I came back later in the day to ask if I could be tested for the flu just to be safe (I have two small children at home) I was told I would have to pay the full office visit rate and lab fees for the test out of pocket. And that I should come back the next day instead... The flu is nothing to mess around with! It's time sensitive and this is one of those moments they could have just been human beings and checked me out to make sure I don't get my kids or wife sick... I loved the place this morning! Not so much right now. UPDATE: 10 days after I went. 3/26/2018 My wife just went there yesterday with the same symptoms of strep throat. They tested her and barely swabbed her throat (just like they did mine over a week ago) and of course it came back negative for strep. They prescribed her nothing even though she had all the symptoms of Strep throat. She went to her regular doctor today to follow up because she didn't trust them after my experience. And as expected, within minutes she tested positive for strep and they prescribed antibiotics. It's simply irresponsible. They sent my wife out of there with no answers and a half-assed test. Strep is highly contagious and they sent her home with NOTHING... We won't be back. This facility is unreliable. It's a shame too... i wanted to like the place. read more

I went in needing a couple of tests including PCR and had a very easy and pleasant experience. The facility is clean and organized. It was not busy on a Sunday afternoon and I was seen almost immediately (I had made an appointment online). The physician's assistant was very nice and knowledgeable, and the doctor was the same. She was quite thorough as well. No co-pay at all -- medicare covered it. I do recommend this urgent care. read more

Avoid this location if you can. I went in with an ankle injury on March 9th. The room I was put into had a used needle sticking out of the box where they were supposed to be disposed of, my sister who is in the medical field ended up taking a few of their gloves and disposing it in the box herself while we were waiting to see the doctor. I had no broken bones, but when the staff was putting my air brace on, the doctor said that my foot was "pointed too much down" then proceeded to take my very tender foot and forcibly push it up, causing me tons of unnecessary pain. Then she had the audacity to ask me why I was making a face. As if that experience with them wasn't frustrating enough, I was told that I should start walking on my foot in 3-4 days, well that following Tuesday I still was unable to put any sort of pressure on my foot at all, so I called to inquire whether it was possible for me to get a referral to an orthopedic specialist through them so that I wouldn't have to make an additional appointment with my PCP to move the process along more quickly. I was told by whomever answered the phone that it was something they can do. I was put on hold a few times, then when she came back on the phone she asked if I'd like to go to NH or Milford. I told her the location I'd prefer, she put me on hold once more, and when she came back on the phone she said that she had sent over a referral and that their office would contact me within a day or 2. I asked for the offices name and phone number and she replied saying that she is unable to provide me with that information because they do not like them giving it out and assured me I'd receive a phone call promptly because "they're always pretty good at getting back to you pretty quickly". Well, I patiently waited 1 week since the weekend passed on the third day. Then I called physician one back to see if they knew what was going on, and to see if I could actually get the number this time to speak directly to whomever they referred me to. Turns out, the girl I spoke with previously never actually sent out a referral. So she not only blatantly lied to me, but she also delayed the process of me seeing an orthopedic specialist for the injury I have. It's one thing to have poor service in other places of business, but for service to be this poor in the medical field is completely unacceptable. read more

I usually dread it bc the staff is always extremely unfriendly and judgy, some uniformed, but I usually just let it get because I can get checked in and out quick. Very upset I went there today around 7:35pm they closed at 8 pm I went because I did not want to go to er or my primary due to being late.. I walk In the guy in the front is laughing with another co worker I get to the front he tells me were not taking no more people I'm like OK you closed in 35 minutes ..due to too many people they seen I. Say they were scheduling appointment for next day... That makes no sense what's the point or walk in for ... So I went to med express in same lot & they took me in with no hesitation ... I tried to give them another shot. But no. I'm done with them. My son had a minor head injury and I brought him in. Then someone that showed up two people after us was seen before my son. My son has a double ear infection and it's now at that point 35 minutes past when he should have started his nap. so I came out to check to see what happened and they said that she was seeing the one that came in two people after. I went back in the room for a bit. I then decided to leave and I said to them I don't see why that kid was seen before my kid when he came in after us . They said there was an emergency. and I said no that kid did not seem like an emergency. and they said no it was ntthat kid. I said you guys said it was. and they got defensive then said it was going to be yours and then they went to the emergency instead. and I said you're not answering why that kid was seen first. They said that there's lots of kids here what kid? I said the other kid with the same name as mine and they said that he wasn't seen. they said she went in that room to get somethin.g and I said well then why didn't you try to clear up that miscommunication? because you see how that looks? and they just stared at me, the three of them. and then one whispered I'm sorry and I walked out. because that's not going to fly with me. I know it's a lie. because the door to my room was open when I went back in and they told her that she went into the wrong room cuz there's two with the same name. and she said no she knew what she was doing and she was going to that room because it was a quicker thing. so I don't appreciate them lying to my face. she said she was waiting for paperwork to print so she wanted to do something that was quick so don't lie to my face. read more

This walk in clinic is the go to place if I can't shake a bug or have an injury. They are caring, friendly and professional, been here 6 times. As far as making an appointment online you must be realistic of your expectations as this appointment can be bumped for a life threatening or more urgent patient. This place was terrible. I'm so upset - I KNEW I had strep throat, a fever, felt weak and shaky, I told them I needed an antibiotic - they gave me some swab that was "60% accurate" which came back negative...fast forward to the next evening and I'm nearly in the hospital because I was so sick. I went to a hospital affiliated health center in Stamford - whereby the NURSE took one look at me and saw that I was very ill and now had a much worse infection. Furthermore, I believe the doctor I saw that this facility was not well, he was shaking terribly, and seemed to have no concern for my symptoms. I will be calling them and taking my complaint all the way up the line. read more

The waits are horrendous. My 4 year old son waited 2 hours with a 104.5 temp, just to see the doctor for less than 5 minutes. Then they had the audacity to further make us wait until they put the prescription through to the pharmacy. After a 15 minute wait I demanded they just give me the prescription instead of using the computer system and they seemed baffled that I just wanted to leave to get my son home. Then two weeks later I have come down with strep. I booked in a time and when arrived 20 minutes early, they only let me know 15 minutes after my booked time, that it was going to be another hour or so. When I asked why they took the walk-in who required over an hour procedure before me (especially since we were waiting room together), I was told they do not turn people away even those that require such long procedures. The gentleman needed care, but was not so dire that he couldn't wait 15 minutes longer, if not, he should of used the ER that was five minutes from the Urgent Care. I watched several people, including me leaving because of the wait, therefore loosing customers. I just wish they saw me first, especially since I booked in before the walk-in who was going to shut down the facility for nearly an hour and a half. Or at least reached via text to warn me, like the texts I received reminding me to be there on time and 15 minutes early. We will not use this facility in the future unless it is so dire that we must, but at this point I'd rather use the ER up the road. They are cheaper anyway. read more

I would like to say the front office staff was very nice and courteous. However, that's about the only nice comment I can make. After waiting for over 90 minutes to be seen by an APRN who it was quite obvious she had only been a nurse for about 5 minutes (this is an observation made by this writer who has 28 years as an RN under her belt). I knew I had a raging sinus infection and just needed a Z-pack, I felt horrible. I had a headache for 3 days,it felt like an elephant was sitting on my head and all of my teeth hurt. Not only was she rude, she was very condescending as well. Let's just say she must have missed when they reviewed bedside manner in Nursing School because she had none!! Perhaps the mistake I made was telling her I was a nurse because her whole attitude changed after that. She began yelling at me about "evidence based data" shows you don't need antibiotics for a sinus infection. She stated "you should know better"!! Whether you're in the health care profession or not, patients come to urgent care centers because they don't feel well. They want a little compassion and understanding and to be treated with respect, NOT A LECTURE!! We also expect to be treated by a COMPETENT Provider!! I had to BEG for an rx for antibiotics. We as consumers have a choice to make when we decide on which Urgent Care Center to go to when we are sick. Let me tell you, this was the first and LAST time I will ever go to this Urgent Care!! I will tell you to avoid Erin Olson if she's on duty!!! read more

First off... They billed me wrong. My co-pay for this facility is $75.00, they were going to charge me $164.00. (I verified with the ins. CO.) After the dr. Assessed my issues, which was an upper respiratory infection, he prescribes me no medicine, tells me to gargle with salt water, take mucinex and Cepacol and tells me to call him in two days if I still feel bad. Well guess what???? I still feel bad!!! Except now, I can't breathe thru my mouth because of the phlem stuck in my throat, massive headache, and still have to force myself to work. My boyfriend who had the same prognosis with another Dr. Was given Tamiflu as a precaution. Come on now... I called & they want to see me again, after the dr. Said he would call in a prescription for me. I'll never go back! I am seeing a "real Dr." this time, I also found out that he was a nurse practitioner... I did go to a regular Dr. and they said I have wheezing in my throat, swollen throat, and after taking blood I have an infection in the blood sample. She put me on antibiotics right away. I go back with a follow up next week.... and it was only a $30 co-pay. Unbelievable! read more
