So... me and my love where driving to kings mountain from Charlotte. We haven't ate all day. We looked up the closest hibachi place. We drive up to this place. First off.. those prices were atrocious. Nearly 20 per plate. No. Our hunger was to the max. Haven't not eaten all day. We open the box. I have never seen something with no seasoning in my life. Not an ounce of salt was used on this. We were destroyed. My women was so angry so begin to show discussed. I like to think I am a good judger of these things, and I know Benihana rice is very good. They use a lot of butter. But I didn't taste any butter in this rice. I'm nice, I swear. But the food at this establishment is just so plane. This rating would be a minus but that's not an option. I ordered fried rice, hibachi chicken with glazed carrots. The white rice came out of a cooker and thrown on the grill. How they can determine this is fried rice, no vegetables, soy sauce, or egg. A true chef, cook would not make this mistake. I asked for teriyaki sauce so that I can have something to pour on the plain white rice and he said I had to pay for it. I asked for my money back he told me not to come back. Plates used to be like $7-$8 for a chicken teriyaki and now it's close to $12. (Not including a drink.)The quality and portions have gone down while they continue to charge more and more. Did I mention they also charge a "customer service fee" of 3.99%? That applies even if you are going through the drive thru/picking up your order. The customer service is okay. Good photo and pretty decent prices. Not as solid as the Yamato in Shelby but definitely an okay spot to grab some quick Americanized Japanese food. Menu isn't quite as extensive as some other places. They're also slower in drive-through because you order at the window, pay there and then drive forward. They bring your order outside. read more

Not a bad place for KM. I had the hibachi chicken. I asked to substitute extra carrots for mushrooms because even though I'm a fun guy, I don't like fungi (get it? ). This place sits behind McDonalds off business 74 in Kings Mt. It actually looks like maybe it was the original McDonald's building that was renovated. Three stars compared to anything else in the area, maybe two in a bigger city. Food is ok. No frills. It was recommended by the hotel desk. I had the chicken and steak hibachi with the low-carb option. This gave me no rice and more vegetables. The food was fresh. Chicken was all white meat and the steak tender. Good portion for the money if you just don't feel like going the 10 miles further to Gastonia for something a little nicer... read more

Went here with my boyfriend and his family after enjoying Pelicans across the street. We were the only people in the restaurant, a group of about six adults and three kids. Everyone was just standing around when we entered. We ordered at the counter and they quickly made our food. However, when they brought it over to our tables the food wasn't even hot. It also really didn't have much flavor. Sadly my broccoli was hardly cooked. I definitely would not eat here again nor recommend it. read more

Me and my family have been eating at this restraunt since they first opened years ago and over time the customer service has turned ugly and also has the quality of the food. My grandmother was passing through kings mountain on her way home and stopped to get a couple to go plates and the whole order was wrong.. We live in SC and there was no way she was going back so she went today with receipt in hand and they refused her any kind of help and we're fairly rude.. My husband and I use to eat here a lot but have not been back until recently and this is what happened... My husband and I usually order and share a drink, never had been a problem until last time we ate there (12/13/16) he came to our table while we were eating and told us that we could not share a drink. He would stare us down the whole time while we were eating. The floors are nasty and the tables have paper folded underneath them to keep them level.
