When our chef finally showed up, he seemed bored and irritated, and had the demeanor of a line cook. He simply prepared the food, cleaned up, and left. Not at all what I was used to. No conversation, no onion volcano, tricks with the egg, no fake ketchup bottle with string... no personality. Also, much of our meal was left out. The waiter forgot our salads, never paid us much attention, never bothered to re-fill our drinks, and seemed just as indifferent as the chef. The vegetable portion of the hibachi meal was also missing broccolli and mushrooms. It was as if the veggi delivery truck didn't showed up that day. I was pretty disappointed having talked-up the experience to my friends, who were just as bored watching some guy listlessly cook their food. The thing that really bothered me was that for the price of the food, you DO pay a little more for the experience. Without that, it just isn't worth the price. I can see why they automatically added the gratuity. We could have just gone to the buffet on Bragg blvd. and saved a lot of money for the same meal. The restaurant was also dark, dingy, greasy, and in desperate need of renovation. With so many other dining options available in Fayetteville, we will not be coming here again.
