Very nice restaurant, stylish, clean, comfortable and what's a big plus for me - a lot of HEALTHY options from the lunch buffet. The prices are like everywhere, you choose what you want to eat and the price depends on the weight of your food. Coffee is a bit expensive (something about 3,50€), but I enjoyed much a Nut-Ginger Cookie for 1,50€ which is not that bad, because it was really filling (and yummy!). It's cool that it's practically near university, so between my classes I'll definitely come back !

After a few too many meat and carb heavy meals while traveling through Germany and Austria, we were so happy to stumble upon yamm! The hostess gave us a quick run through - grab a card, pile up your plate with fresh and delicious food, weigh your plate, and dig in! There's also a menu with drinks and other nibbles on the table, and a friendly server will be by to check on you. I had a full plate of food and a green smoothie (get the Granny Loves Spinach!) for less than 14€. I'm not a vegetarian by any standards, but definitely did not feel like anything was lacking. The highlights of the meal were the wasabi hummus, spinach strudel, and super fresh roasted veggies. We were too full to order anything more, but the dessert case also looked amazing! I wish we had one of these restaurants back home!

Delicious Vegetarian Buffet. Everything was extremely healthy ranging from grilled vegetables, quinoa salad, fruits, beans and much more.

Overpriced ordinary food. If you like to pretend you are eating good food because the lights and music is good, this is the place for you!

Fresh good selection of vegetarian produce but I was not a fan of the weighing concept since I eat so much :-)

We sat on their patio, which was lovely. And the service was great as well. Their breakfast menu has lots of options, probably something for everyone! My friend had their Viennese breakfast (soft boiled egg, butter, jam, honey, organic roll, and organic rye bread), and I had their salmon scrambled eggs (bread with cream cheese, salmon tataki, sea salt, truffle, and cress), which was different than I was expecting but delicious. We each had a couple of coffees and really enjoyed our leisurely breakfast at JOMA.

Everything carefully crafted and professionally presented! I had the juicy grilled kalamari with a garlic sauce (very appropriate) and a wok veggie salad. My partner had the Joma sandwich with sweet potato fries. I also had the lemongrass seafood soup, and I had it twice (yes re-ordered it on the same visit) because it was amazing. Ended the meal with a cup of ginger tea (real ginger pieces). All in all, great dining experience, lovely and relaxing ambience and obliging staff. Five stars.

Loved the decor, made me feel like we were transported back in time. Our waiter came, dressed in his formal clothing despite the heat outside, and took our order. For me, an espresso, for my wife, a chocolate cake and water. My coffee was delivered on a neat little tray with a glass of water to go along with it. The waiter then pretty much left us alone as we took our time eating and drinking. Pricewise, the cafe seemed similar to other coffee shops we had visited during our trip. So why not more stars? Largely because the food being offered isn't vegan friendly. Maybe that is due to tradition, fine I understand that if that's the case, but I've heard that there are other traditional cafes in Vienna that do have vegan options. Just give me one. That's all I'm asking.

I have always loved Demel from my previous…read morevisits, and I know it is a world-renowned and historic establishment, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I ordered my usual Kaiserschmarrn and a drink. I had noticed that the table next to me had a drink that looked good, so when the waitress took my order, I specifically told her that I wanted the same drink the table next to me was having. When my order arrived, it was brought by a different waitress. The drink looked completely different from what I had pointed to, so I asked her what it was. She told me it was a double espresso. I explained that I had not ordered a double espresso and again pointed to the drink at the table next to me, which was clearly a hot chocolate. The waitress then called over the waitress who had originally taken my order. Instead of simply acknowledging that there had been a misunderstanding, she insisted, "That's what you ordered." When I explained again that it wasn't, she told me, "It's the same thing." A **double espresso and a hot chocolate are obviously not the same thing.** What bothered me even more than the incorrect order was the way both waitresses spoke to me. Their attitudes and tone were extremely rude, dismissive, and demeaning--as though I was stupid for pointing out the obvious mistake. The interaction became uncomfortable enough that people sitting at other tables were looking over at us. To make matters worse, my Kaiserschmarrn was **cold**. It tasted as though it had already been sitting out for some time before it was brought to my table. I understand that mistakes happen. Had they simply apologized for the misunderstanding and corrected the drink, I would not have had an issue. Instead, I was argued with and spoken down to over something that could have been resolved in seconds. This was genuinely one of the worst customer-service experiences I have ever had at a restaurant, and certainly not what I expected from an establishment with Demel's reputation. After several previous visits that I enjoyed, it is extremely disappointing to say that I will not return and will no longer recommend Demel to my friends.
