Discovered this place while exploring the area I moved to. Its convenient because for an antique store its close to where I am and I am still kind of in a decorating mood right now. The selection here is pretty good and diverse. They have lamps, mirrors, art, tables, and a lot more. It has the classic antique store surprises where you can just randomly find new things you never noticed before. It may seem small at first but there is a basement as well filled with more curiosities! I have hopped in hear a few times already to think over some of things I might of wanted and I have already bought a nice old style lamp. The owner is very nice and though I am not much of a haggler he gave me a big discount on the item which I was happy with. Even helped me replace the lamp knob when I noticed the original one was missing. It works like a charm and adds a lot of personality to my place now! The most descriptive term for this shop, I think, would be "well-curated." They've got an oddly eclectic mix of items for sale, but all of them are pretty! Antique furniture and home decor, jewelry, knick-knacks, a few items of clothing, art... if it's nice, it might be here! I don't think that the prices are the best... especially on the 'new' items; I've seen things that definitely have been given a hefty markup. However, with the antique and unique items, that doesn't really apply - and the proprietors are willing to negotiate. (They're really nice and friendly, too!) What a difference a month makes between the last review and my experience. My brother and I recently lost our elderly mother and stopped by the store last Saturday. Chris was with another customer at the time, and when I approached him he was both rude and dismissive. Merely stating that "he doesn't discuss business on the weekends" and then he proceeded to ignore us although we remained in the area for several minutes. With that attitude I'm not sure how he stays in business at all. read more

Great shop to take your time and it's a "the more you look, the more you'll see" type place. Chris, the owner and his son are easy going and glad to offer info as needed and even negotiate. They have a diverse selection of items that are unique, creative, different and desirable. It took me about 20 mins to find a great cobalt blue bowl with a gold band and cover. Fits perfectly with my collection. He offered to combine a blue water pitcher with it and took 20% off - very cool. This time the downstairs was closed but next trip I'l have more time to see what gems are waiting there. read more

I've had my eye on this shop for a while and I finally went in, nothing like the holidays.... The merch is beautifully displayed with furniture pieces and lots of interesting small things. Some vintage pieces, jewelry, items from Africa and it's all beautifully displayed. Reminded me a little of ABC carpet store main floor. Pat, the woman who helped me was interesting and elegant. She showed me some ideas for gifts and I left, happy, with some gift items and a great shopping experience. read more

Yanatiba surprises, engages, and pleases the mind/senses. Chris, the owner is engaging, sweet and full of interesting information. And if the thing you buy is too heavy, he will try to bring it to you. Unique items from jewelry to art to clothing to furniture..all interesting, well chosen and beautiful. This is a lovely, clean and interesting shop. Collectibles are organized in vignettes by color, or style. Everything is well displayed. There is a lot packed into a small-ish space but it doesn't have that junky feeling of many vintage shops. The owner has a good eye and some fashion sense. I think he mentioned that much of the merchandise comes from trips he makes to Maine. The prices seem fair. I am very happy with the necklace I bought. read more

Really like this place, and pop in whenever I'm wandering around the area. The owner is really friendly and has a great eye - there's a well-curated collection of interesting and beautiful things, and every time I'm there I see something new. I walked in here the other day for the first time and left with a beautiful antique dresser and mirror. I mostly looked at the furniture but there's a ton of other stuff in there. All unique and interesting pieces. The owners were great - attentive but not pushy. The owner and his son delivered the dresser and mirror the next evening and it couldn't have been easier. It's easy to want to leave with something every time one goes in to Yanatiba. There's a whole section downstairs where a lot of cute things are hiding. We got some wonderful china here that turned out to be very rare and from the 1920s - and the price we paid very very reasonable compared to similar china on Etsy. The owner is personable without ever being pushy, making it a nice place to browse in, which is so important for this kind of store. The selection includes larger furniture pieces such as tables and couches, mirrors, china, jewelry, lamps, etc. My experience is that the pieces here are clean, restored, and generally in great condition especially compared to places like Junk, and around the same price point as Junk (so why would you buy junk?). read more
