Brought my bike in Spring of 22 For service. Ever since then it had an oil leak I brought the bike back several times but they had been unable to figure it out. Made an appointment in April for middle of May For service and have the oil leak fixed. They still have it apart and there's no date of when it's gonna be completed. My original post was removed by Yelp at the request of Yankee because it "did not include enough information about my time there. I have stopped at Yankee a few times, mainly for parts as getting an appointment for service there is always weeks out. Waste of time that doesn't have a quick oil change bay. When it came time to buy my street glide, I came in to see what they had. Nothing special, and their prices were high. Made the mistake of giving them my info because they kept calling and emailing non stop. I ended up buying my bike from Empire in New Rochelle. Those guys are HD riders and know their stuff. Move on 1.5yrs, I get hit by a distracted driver. Insurance wanted to send the bike to Yankee and I paid extra to get it to Empire HD where their service and parts guys don't need to look in a manual with every question. When I do look to get a new bike, I can guarantee that I will not include them in my search. Heck, I may never complete the tour card again because I would have to stop there. Save yourself some time and headache and visit one of the other HD dealers in the area. Empire, Gengras, Brothers, or the one up in Auburn, MA all have more inventory, better sales reps, and much better service. read more

The staff is great, I dealt with Brian to purchase my used 2004 FXDLI. It is a great bike and they had it ready to go within a few hours. The reason for only four stars is because they don't warn you about paying close to double for the bike if they set you up with Harley Davidson Financial Services. HDFS charges interest daily, I pay $166 a month and only $40 goes on the principal. It is literally usury, and they get away with it, it is like going to Rent-A Center to buy a HD. I will be getting the bike paid off as soon as I can to avoid the astronomical interest, my credit is not even that bad to deserve such a high rate. Shame on Yankee HD for using a rip-off outfit like HDFS. read more

So they contact me to buy my bike. They pick it up from my house and bring it to the dealership. Then I have to call the dealership two days later for only them to tell me they will only offer me 1500.00 less than what we agreed on. This dealership is a joke and there is no communication throughout the whole business. Seems very sketchy. I would not recommend. The salesman's name was Jeff. Stay away. They said the bike needs tires when they do not. And they said it would be 1500 to replace the tires on the fat bob. What a joke read more

This is one of the worst H-D dealers in the area. I expect exuberant prices at H-D but with that I expect a Culture, no a brotherhood. Well needless to say when I walked in expecting to be greeted kindly I got nothing but dirty looks and scowls as if I was wasting there time by trying to spend my hard earned money there. My Husband went in their store and was definitely going to buy the 2018 CVO 42,000.00 .Ok ? I sent the salesperson everything he asked for. All his information. I put a $1000 deposit on a new Harley and changed my mind after looking at other dealerships online later that night, 8 hours later I called them to cancel deal and they say no way , its to late now and I lost my deposit , I ended up buying same bike at Gengras for $1200 less so I still came out ahead but I refuse to spend another penny in that place, they called me for the next 2 months telling me to come pickup my new bike, I guess they don't communicate well amongst themselves. read more

I have bought numerous motorcycles from Yankee. I have had everyone of them serviced there. I went in this past Saturday for a $200.00 Oil change and a warranty issue which was denied. The bike is a 2020 with 4,000 miles on it. Yankee service staff was not helpful nor was Harley Customer Care. I even spoke to the Manager who said he would call me back and never did. My advise...buy something else from somewhere else.. Nothing but discouraged!!!! read more

Bill Fanelli (forgive me if I got the name wrong) assisted my boyfriend when he traded in his HD Crossbones and purchased a HD Street Rider. He was extremely informative, patient, and answered all of our questions. My boyfriend had visited there earlier & the day, and when he brought me down to the shop to show me the bike he was interested in, Bill was patient enough to answer my questions as well. Our purchase there lasted until 10pm at night. The employees were all very patient & knowledgeable. After purchasing the bike, and bringing it home, the bike stalled in the driveway. My boyfriend was attempting to determine what the issue was when Bill called to follow up on our purchase. Within 10 minutes he had sent out a trailer to pick up the bike & they had it fixed the next day. read more

Very poor communication. Bikes are over priced. Took over a week to get my bike register because of their errors, ie, no title/rmv1 form. Fails to tell you that you need proof of insurance and payoff letter prior to pick up. Mind you we live 1 1/2 hours away and bank said they should have called for pay off. Can I use negative stars? Husband and I have been on a search for his n hers bikes for about a year now. We were trying to not have to finance them as we have a car we know is worth more than the two bikes we were looking at. It's a classic car, so it would take a little work for us to find the right buyer. We asked them to write up the sale so we knew what our goal would be. They refused. All we asked was please tell us how much cash we need to return with. The finance guy said "we don't do deals like that. Our profits are made off of the interest charged on your loan." Incredulous, I said "You don't do any cash for bike transactions?" He said "no, absolutely not." Then he laughed. I couldn't tell if he was joking or not joking. I didn't care - to be honest - because as far as I was concerned, I wouldn't buy anything from them. I wouldn't even buy a decal there. We purchased our bikes from TSI - we live 3/4 mile from Yankee. We went 50 miles up to Ellington because we if we are going to buy a quality bike, we want the same quality sales and service staff. TSI even offered to deliver our bikes to our house, so that we wouldn't have to make the trip up there. They also told us if we needed service, that they would send a trailer to bring the bikes up to be serviced. That's service. That's a business that is interested in returning customers. read more

I have been giving my business to Yankee Harley Davidson for about 7 years now. I bought my bike new from them a few years back, which was a good process overall. Since then, I have been met with nothing but attitude and incompetence. Today was the last issue that sent me to another dealership. Over the past few years I have spent 10's of thousands of dollars with this dealership. I bought an inexpensive part (a pair of signal lights to replace the wiring which chaffed and needs replacing), which I ordered from them about a month prior. I was told "we will call you when it's in." A few years back I was called promptly when my part was in. The past two years or so not so much. I asked for a pair of signal lights and they ordered me one. I asked for my money back and informed them I would go somewhere else. They then told me I have "store credit". I essentially had to swear at them to get my money back. Overall, Yankee used to be an awesome dealership, now they couldn't even be bothered to call their customers back. read more

Let me start by saying this isn't the first bad experience. I go in for a quart of primary oil the price he gave me was over $10 I said I just paid less then 9 from gengras. The response was well its dealer list don't know what to tell you. There is no give and take from that place. Not to mention 19k for a 3 year old bike is unrealistic. I was very underwhelmed on my most recent visit. On thing that was very evident was that dealers who keep much of their inventory outdoors, as they seem to, have a much more difficult time keeping the bikes presentable. Stopped in last weekend. Was greeted very warmly. Lots of staff to help and all were very upbeat and happy. Fiance bought a jacket. No hard sell which I like. Just a warm greeting and "If I can help with anything please let me know". Other dealerships I have been to all over the country have people basically follow you. Not here. Just really nice people. Rode into Yankee today with my husband on his Fatboy. We just wanted to look at some of the models. Within a minute of us exiting the bike an employee came outside and said - we're closing, the cash register is closed and use the bathrooms now if you need them. Not the greeting I was expecting. He then came out and said that if we wanted to purchase a bike that he would open the register. He said " we work lots of hours that's all". It was extremely poor customer service! Bought a bike recently and needed a few parts. I picked up the phone and called these guys (among others who didn't have near the nice tone on the phone) to see if they had it. Not only did he confirm they did, he went one step further to make sure that I was asking for the correct item, so I didn't get the wrong part, as well as answer all my questions about wiring and anything else I may run into. He assured me everything was in the box and instructions were detailed. Drove the hour to the dealer and the gentleman I was talking to on the phone was busy. No issues, this guy was just as nice. Made sure I got the parts, held them while I looked around and added a few more parts and I was out the door. No complaints. They have a ton of bikes, but no room for them, but past that its a well laid out dealer. Plenty of clothing and gear as well as parts. Where do I begin by far the best harley Davidson dealership I have ever dealt with. Through the years HD has gotten a bad reputation for being not easy to deal with. Well we broke down on a sunday and what we expected was not at all what happened first we had no idea how we were getting the bike to a dealership. Until we called yankee HD. We left a message and not only did we get a call back, we were told they were shorthanded, but the owner woul d come with a trailer to get us. Once arriving at the dealership they immediately unloaded the bike and put it on a lift. We already were amazed we thought we would have to leave the bike and pick it up at a later date and find a way back to. Long Island, NY. The bike was fixed within a few he's and we were on our way in a few hrs. The entire staff could not have been nicer, I highly recommend this dealership. It would be worth your while to go to this dealership for your HD needs. Also if you are into sound systems, the owner Mark specializes in audio. It's indescribably and before boosting/or installng one you should definitely check his out. You will never hear anything like it. It's worth the trip even if you are not local. Being 26 yrs old and being my age and to have dealerships even take me seriously was hard. Didn't matter my credit was perfect or i had more than enough to put down for a downpayment. No one wanted to talk to me, brothers, ect.. Everyone thought I was just pulling everyone chain and kept on showing me what i didnt want. I wanted a street bob. I went to Yankee and even before I got in the door I was greeted, The whole staff. Was cool and professional. Treated me with respect and answered all my questions. I owned a 03 honda vfr and they took it on trade unseen. Gave me more than I thought and even tried to hook me up on forward controls for my street bob. My girlfriend even came with me And treated her with respect too. They where all just really cool and seemed like anything I wanted they got or had already. I understand my age and probly how they get jerked around by young kids and also other dealers being way they are. But the way I was treated and service I got. I felt really good dropping $$$ there. Every time we call we get the runaround. It's been just over three weeks and we still haven't taken possession of the bike yet and the first payment is due in under 12 days.
