My family and I have been coming to Madison for years and every year we do take-out from the Yankee Smokehouse. This year we decided to dine in and change it up. This place is a smokehouse but also a pizzeria, so we have always called it Pizza Pig because of the dual cuisine There was a 20 minute wait when we arrived and we seated at right about the 20 minute mark. We sat in the back of the restaurant along the window. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very loud in here as there is little sound absorption- so be prepared to speak loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We also sat next to the service area, which didn't bother us at all, but something to be aware of. The back room requires two steps down, and there is no wheelchair access to this area - but the rest of the restaurant appears to be wheelchair accessible. Our waitress was pleasant and very busy! She was handling multiple tables efficiently. I came with my whole family and the great thing about this place is that there is a little bit for everyone. Don't like BBQ? No problem - they have pizza or sandwiches , even salads. You can even get a burger. I ordered the Reuben, my kids got a pizza and my husband got the brisket and pulled pork combo. Food came out hot. Kids loved the pizza. Brisket was a bit fatty and pulled pork was dry. My Reuben was delicious. Onions rings and fries were nice and crisp and huge! Overall, nice local option for smoked food or pizza! Not sure we would get the smoked meats - maybe not our thing. But would definitely come back for the Reuben, onion rings and pizza.

Best north country BBQ around! Comfortable atmosphere, good service & affordable. You can also build your own pizza with the typical toppings or get several different kinds of Smokehouse BBQ pizzas. Solid 4 stars....,so check them out & Enjoy.

Decided to head in Friday 9/29/2023, kind of cold and rainy day. Quickly greeted by a waitress and we were allowed to pick out seats (opted for the high top table in the bar area). Wife ordered the BBQ Sampler for 1 (see picture), she liked it enough, very basic, cooked properly but very little flavor, needed to use their bbq sauce (which was solid). I opted for one of the BBQ themed pizzas HOG TROUGH (see picture). The meats on it were ok, the veggies under cooked. The red sauce had no flavor add the dough was undercooked. It certainly wasn't horrible but very marginal at best. Hopefully this was just an off day in the kitchen. I live in the area, so I'll give one more try. When I do I'll update the review.

So I was with some a group of my friends. Food had no seasoning and taste to it very bland. The service was awkward as I truly was the only person of color. The order was wrong and the waitress basically said we made the wrong order. However it was 13 in the our party and guest at our table even realize they are not taking our orders correctly. Sadly due to the bad experience and my treatment I'm not ever returning.

Hugh portions, brisket was very tender BBQ, potato skins were a bit of a disappointment a bit blacken from the frying. Very happy attentive staff, willing to explain the menu details. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Quite, music at a reasonable level, not blaring like at most places[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

What an interesting combo BBQ, pizza and other stuff like prime rib, Reubens, seafood dishes, so much to choose from. I had to try the burnt ends, so I got that with a garden salad. The full salad was huge. The burnt ends were good, not overly hard and sticky like some I've had. Three others got ribs and brisket. One of them said they found it a bit dry, but the others just handed her the sauce bottle. Someone mentioned that they liked that the ribs were not very fatty. The beans were really good, the coleslaw also good. The Texas toast good. There were no highlights that really stand out, but everything was good, including desserts - apple crisp and strawberry shortcake. The service was attentive and everything came out correctly. The beer selection was really limited, more local craft beer would be nice. But we definitely plan to come back and try other things.

Smoked ribs. Look at that Pink!

I've only eaten there once and I didn't like the food. I wouldn't go back. The bbq sauce tasted smoky not sweet.

Thought we'd give it a go as a change from Hobbs. The meat was dry and tasted like armpits unless doused in their overly sweet sauce.

Their bbq sauce is fantastic and I love the pulled pork sandwiches, chicken fingers and no order would be complete without garlic bread.

The brisket, pulled pork, and Cajun burger were perfectly cooked and the flavor was amazing. The Moat has the best brisket we've ever had, extremely lean and flavorful. The pulled pork was smoky and tender, so delicious. The Cajun burger was delectable and incredibly tasty. Highly recommend the Moat, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu and they have one of the best breweries anywhere.

I've bought beer to go after delicious meals, merchandise, growlers... but last night was the first time I've been disappointed in them and think we will be taking a break. The menu has changed completely- more Asian fusion vibes than Smokehouse. Hardly any of their staples seem to be left, and the quality and service were less than :( we heard the table next to us talking about their disappointment to the changes as well. I had the Polka Sausage Party, which was only ok. The slaw wasn't fresh and left a weird after taste. Best thing on the plate were the fries. My partner had the Peaches and Scream Sliders- only came out with 2 sliders that weren't anything special. He was glad he'd ordered the wings in addition (an old favorite), but the Carolina bbq sauce tasted more like French's than anything else. Why change what was succeeding? The meal was too expensive for what we got. Bring back the empanadas, the Thai Peanut Chili, the Black Bean wrap! The old menu had the restaurant full everytime... we arrived at 530pm on a busy Thursday night in N.Conway, and were shocked about how empty the restaurant was... now we think we understand.
