They helped to trouble shoot and fix 7 issues throughout my 3 apartments about 4 hours. A 2 person crew cost $100 per hour, but I didn't mind because they were efficient with their time and polite with my tenants. They even helped us get a coupe things up to code that we weren't aware of. I'd recommend them and use them again.

Our fabulous plumbers (Bradbury's Plumbing and Heating) had recommended Rottari Electric and we were so pleased to have found Bob. It felt like everyone in the state of Maine was looking for a generator, there were none to be had, online, in Home Depot, in Loews etc. Bob was amazing, he contacted all of his usual generator sources, helped us with our online search and handled all of my stupid questions about 8Kw vs 17Kw happily. When the propane company kept changing the day they would be coming to install the propane tank Bob was totally flexible with the install of the generator. He was even happy to have the generator shipped to his home rather than leaving it unattended at our home as I wouldn't be there for two days when it was due to arrive. On the day of the installation he was prompt and he happily helped remove a small area of a fence (required by the propane company) which was totally above and beyond what we had asked him to do. Our generator has been installed for a month now and just tonight I had another stupid question about the switches in the panel when one of our lights fused. Bob responded to my email in less than an hour even though it was evening, he explained the answer very simply so even I could manage it :) I would recommend Rottari Electrical to anyone needing any kind of residential electrical work - from generator installs to other projects - Bob is trustworthy, knowledgeable and professional.

I was highly dissatisfied with the "service" I received from Mainly Electrical. The renovation on…read moremy home was delayed by 5 months due to things being done incorrectly and untimely. They had a helper performing most of the work without oversight by a master electrician. I needed a 200 amp service done which required coordination with CMP. On the day this was scheduled, Mainly Electrical showed up unprepared and they were unwilling to dig the hole required to have the service done. This was rescheduled with CMP (after I found someone else to dig the hole). At this point it had rained. Once again, Mainly Electrical was not helpful. Rather than taking the time to pump out the water, they said they needed to schedule for a third attempt. I had to pump the water out myself to make sure there were no further delays. At the third attempt to get this done, Dom (the owner of the company) said that he couldnt complete the job and said there was something that needed to be fixed from CMPs end. Rather than waiting for CMP to arrive, he left. It was then discovered that there was a dead leg (something that should have been fixed by the electrician). Not once did Dom take accountability for any of this and continued to blame others for the issues not being resolved. At this point, I decided it was time to discontinue partnership with Mainly Electrical and hire a new electrician to get the job done. Within less than 30 minutes, the new electrician was able to complete the tasks needed for set up of our 200amp service. In addition to this, other electrical errors were discovered that then needed to be fixed. Regardless of this, I was still charged (and found out later I was overcharged). Due to his lack of communication, lack of sense of urgency, lack of accountability, and his unprofessionalism, I would never recommend Dom and his company for electrical needs (big or small). Save yourself the headache and hassle and look elsewhere.

I needed 2 open wires to porch lights repaired as it was dangerous to leave them open, 2 outlets,…read moreas well as 2 kitchen lights replaced, "one was zapping, the other was flickering." Jack said his hourly rate was only $100, but then he brought a "helper" with him @ $50 hour extra. They secured one wire to a porch light, but in 3 hours didn't have time to work on the other porch light or to replace 2 light fixtures, as they were repairing 5 outlets, of which 2 are obsolete, not in need, not on my list, not a safety issue. Jack charged me $500. I was unable to provide a photo of the poor workmanship on the 3 in one lightswitch/GFCI. Jack told me that he would come back when I had more money. I had told him up front "I am a low income senior." The only way to come up with another $440 was to not pay on my credit card. He said he got FREE light bulbs from Efficiency Maine, as do I. He used his and profited. He made me an appt. for 4 months later October 30 @ 7:30am. On that date he sent a text @ 7am rescheduling for afternoon which was inconvenient for me, but I had no choice as I was expecting 100 Trick-or-Treaters. He kept switching up the plan as to how he should go about working on the exterior porch light. Finally, we agreed on turning one of the obsolete outlets into a light switch. Why didn't he just do that 4 months earlier eliminating the fire danger? So, in fact, Jack charged to repair an obsolete outlet, then charged me again to undo that receptacle and turn it into a light switch. They finally got my 3 new light installed. So a total of $940. So little work was accomplished. My 3 in one lightswitch system looks unprofessional. One lightswitch is not flush with the cover, we are having a difficult time using the outlet, they didn't put in all 8 screws and the 4-piece outlet cover is old, dirty and severely cracked... I texted my concerns to Jack and he kept putting words in my mouth. He was dishonest. He kept bragging about his business. Poor planning on his part cost me double the money and unnecessary frustration. He kept telling me that he had bills too. It's been 4 months. I will start the process with the Maine Attorney General to mediate. ​
