Once inside, it's bright, well-organized, and genuinely pleasant to browse. They have a beautiful selection of reasonably priced yarn and fiber supplies in a wide range of colors, textures, and types, perfect whether you're starting a new project or just soaking up inspiration. Everyone here was so sweet and welcoming, and generously shared information about classes, group meetups, and other fiber arts offerings. It really feels like more than just a shop it's a community space for fiber lovers. One highlight is the classes and events hosted here: TGIFF (Thank Goodness It's Fiber Friday)! Every Friday, 5:00-7:00 PM (FREE)

They have a wide selection of higher end yarns like marino wool and alpaca which I haven't seen at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. What sold me most is they are a great resource to tap into their knowledge of fibers and techniques. I would not go there to get a kit for your teen to start learning on, get cheaper yarn elsewhere. But for an afghan that will last a lifetime, get the good quality yarn found here. They also have group sessions on Thursday from 1-3 and Friday from 5-7 to meet with other knitters to work on your project and socialize. I recommend you try it.

Are you really a sewist in Nashville if you haven't frequented one of Textile Fabric's amazing…read moresales? Seriously, the last time I went here (certainly not the last) around a week ago, they were having a 40% sale on all fabrics! Fantastic. The staff are always so helpful and friendly. They've helped me find boning, specific buttons, and other notions. I love how excited they get about the projects I'm planning as well! Did I mention the absolutely killer remnant section in the back of the store? I end up picking out 1-2yds from there every time, whether it's a beautiful linen or more recently, a fall corduroy. They have a wonderful private lot off of Craighead they share with the neighboring businesses, but it's never crowded, and I've always been able to get a space. Fabric is sooooo varied, from high end silk, tweeds, knits, cotton poplins, and fleece. I even saw baby sleepsack making material! Definitely make a trip here if you see.
