I had acne, hair loss, constant fatigue, light sensitivity, shortness of breath, unexplained weight gain, and a swollen stomach no matter how much I exercised. I originally came in for what I thought would be a routine checkup. However, Dr. Shiva took one look at my symptoms and my stomach and told me she believed I needed a Pap smear and further testing because she suspected fibroids. She was absolutely right. I had two fibroids, one the size of an orange, and the other the size of a golf ball. She immediately referred me to the appropriate specialists, and I successfully underwent surgery to have them removed. Dr. Shiva also discovered I had thyroid issues, including Hashimoto's disease and Graves disease. She referred me to the right specialists, and today my thyroid levels are finally back to normal. She also noticed my boob was lactating, but I didn't have a small child that was breastfeeding. She sent me to a specialist and I ended up getting my boob aspirated. I was also experiencing severe hair loss and acne. She sent me to a specialist and they treated my hair loss and acne. Thanks to Dr. Shiva's referrals and guidance, my hair is growing back and I am no longer experiencing any health issues. Thanks to Dr. Shiva, I am finally healthy again and feeling like myself. I cannot thank her enough for the care she has provided over the years. Since receiving care at this clinic, I went on to become an EMT, addiction counselor, and after completing my bachelor's degree, I became an educator for parents and children of all ages. Currently, I'm one semester away from completing my master's degree. I have gone on to not only live my life to the fullest, but to help children and families. I tried getting an IUD placed to control my periods and endometriosis when I was 18. They canceled by phone call AS I WAS ON MY WAY IN for the procedure because they "forgot" I was allergic to latex, and so could not clean the room. I tried filling my birth control prescription there in my 20s. The doctor gave me attitude, told me I was on the wrong pills, and tried to switch me to another style. When I checked with a different gynecologist at another office, the pills she tried to switch me to would have caused debilitating migraines and not managed my endometriosis! Later in my 20s, I gave up going when they simply would not update my insurance information, swearing up and down that I was on Medi-Cal, despite my providing the brand new valid insurance card from my work AND a letter of cancellation from Medi-Cal. I am now 36 and found a lump. I am already freaked out. I should have known better than to trust them, but they could see me fast and without having to go through my insurance. My appointment was over an hour late, the "doctor" couldn't find the obvious lump until I showed it to her, and they lied about the cost, charging me past double what I had been quoted and assured of. I would not be surprised if this place got shut down for being a scam. I'd expect this level of cruelty and incompetence from one of those fake crisis pregnancy centers. Eighteen years of rudeness and time wasting. Shame on me for ever trying to give them another chance. Shame on them for such all-around failure.

That being said, I was already going in to see her for a nerve racking reason (a miscarriage) so I was hoping this doctor would be a good match. However, it was awful from start to finish. Her manner was icy friendly meaning she didn't seem particularly interested in dealing with me and acted like she was there cause she was obligated to be. My husband was with me, so I have a witness to this experience. The Dr did the ultrasound and said "yeah (the sac) is not growing. You're miscarrying"...and then without taking a breath she proceeded to ask me "So how come you waited so long to try to have another baby?" Because I was over 35, and had a two year old at the time, she thought that THIS was somehow the best time to ask me why I waited so long to try for another child. And then as I was leaving, she said "I would give you a hug but ya know" referring to the pandemic limitations (in which she actually seemed a bit relieved to not have to fake like she cared with a hug). The gaul to think I would really want a hug from someone who was so cavalier about my feelings? That was almost 6 years ago and I have never and will never recommend this Dr or return to her care.

My 1st cycle I was able to get 1 euploid and my 2nd cycle I got 3 normal embryos!!! Dr. Landay is the only doctor that hasn't dismissed my deep pelvic pain and could tell something was off during my ultrasounds. In between cycles she ordered an MRI and it confirmed that I have widespread diffused adenomyosis. Finally I had a diagnosis for my infertility and why I couldn't get pregnant naturally. I am having my FIRST baby and he made me feel so anxious and worried rather than reassure me that we can get through this. While I understand that all of these things may be true there is a better way to approach these things. The doctor also said "open wide" like my vagina was my mouth. It was just unnerving. The dr wasn't even there. I overheard a patient being told he'd be here in 10 min. I waited an hour and a half. Was told he was probably delivering a baby and would be here soon. Another patient was told he sees his last patient at 3:40. At 3:27, I was brought to a very cold room (and not altogether clean) to strip down for a PAP and breast exam. They told me the dr would be in in 5 minutes. Another 20 minutes passed before he came in. He was not gentle. He did not alert me to what he was doing. Cold speculum accompanied by terrible bedside manner. He refused to listen to my concerns about the birth control he was prescribing. I had been on that particular one before. I told him which one I had the least side effects from, but he dismissed my experiences. This was such a terrible experience that it's been difficult to convince myself to see any doctor since.
