What a beautifully set up store...When we walked in, we just loved admiring all the beautiful home decor pieces and unique accent pieces. This store sells many nice things for the home that you can buy on the spot, but the store is also the base for people who want to get a professional to help decorate their homes Yates & Kennedy occupies about 500 square feet on Commercial St, and owner Mitch Yates has created areas throughout the shop that teem with personality. The shop, which has been around for over 10 years is chock-a-block full. Antelope horns lean against agate bookends, watermark pillows rest next to small oil paintings, and claw-foot candlesticks, magnifying glasses and a jewel-encrusted crown share table space. A variety of vintage wallpaper serves as backdrops to the diverse assortment. Yates has even created a space for a great assortment of espadrilles and hand screened T-shirts by his best friend, John Kennedy. The shop, like a room with character, is spirited and charming. When you visit, plan to spend some time there; you never know what you'll uncover. read more

Yates & Kennedy is a beautiful high end store that I feel is a must visit. It is full of gorgeous one of a kind items. I found pleasure just walking through taking everything in. I found a beautiful pillow that I feel in love with. I ended up leaving without purchasing it. Only to think a about the pillow all day. In the end deciding to return and make the pillow mine. I found the owner friendly and kind, yet a little soft spoken. He seemed to appreciate customers commenting on his beautiful items. Ultimately I was thrilled that I stepped foot in Yates & Kennedy and I will think of that store fondly each time I gaze upon my gorgeous pillow while at home. Even if you are not planning on purchasing you should stop in to Yates & Kennedy just to take in the beauty. read more

New this season! I loved the decor of this place the open space all the natural light and of course the great tunes. (Radiohead) I loved the unique gifts and specialty candles. I also enjoyed the minimal amount of nice quality shirts they themselves designed. I missed my opportunity to come back and buy a t-shirt, but I will be back for sure. Gothic antique meets Norman Bates fisherman. I love the design aesthetic here. I want my world to be designed like Yates & Kennedy.

I am a sucker for this kind of place. Its not exactly a men clothing store; you can find ornamental objects to household lamps to local vintage sculptures. And all with great taste selections. Nothing is tacky here, and if its then it has a message behind its selection. Most of the clothes are all printed tees and hoodies and pullovers... but with high quality fabric, so its like $65 for a tee. Yakes. There are also these small wooden hand sculptures in beautiful gesture poses, I almost bought one for $26, but I wouldn't know how to take it back to Portland with me. I don't want it to break! The owner is a bit strange when I visited the store, maybe 'cause it was dinner time and he had to stay there for the gallery opening night. Or he is just bored and tired of tourists. read more

A really great shop. Most of our group of six bought a couple t-shirts from here and really loved the store. Just another example of how Provincetown is bucking the trend of tourists towns full of crap stores. Great high-end stuff. I would make this a must to stop into on a trip back. read more

This is a fabulous store. Filled with an assortment of vintage goods, books on the human skeleton, weird bird-claw photograph-holders and wooden toy animals, Yates & Kennedy is a hodgepodge of the weird, spooky and old, all enclosed within the preppy, clean-cut confines of a small, New England store. As a native of the state, I love it. It isn't crazy expensive and while there may not be something for everyone here, this is a lot for people who love old, slightly weird things when it comes to decor and (men's) clothing. Put this shop on your to-do list when you visit. read more

Great selection of furnishings, clothing, and gifts. The buyer has an eye for unique objects that you won't find everywhere else. Come here for a comfortable ptown tank top, a set of pirate thank you cards, a zebra ottoman, or a rare taxidermy bird. Always an interesting selection that is frequently changing, and definitely one of the best shops in town. read more

Hands down this has to be my favorite place in all of Cape Cod. I ent to this sotre 3 times in one week and spent money like a lunatic in there. Yates and Kennedy designs their own tshirts, tanks, sweat shirts. They also have great indie jewelry designers. I bought 2 necklaces and a ring from them. i also got their infamous P=Town tank top with the tatooed guy on it. They have the most amazing home interiors... Antlers, spiders, jax, EVERYTHING. This store is so great- I hope it is there every year i go up to the Cape. read more
