Dr. Packer is exceptional in providing patient care. I have challenging vision and need several different prescriptions for glasses and contacts in order to be able to function in life and he takes the time to make sure I get the right prescriptions. The office staff is wonderful as well. They don't overbook appointments like many places do so wait time is minimal. I highly recommend this practice for eyecare. read more

I've been getting a lot of headaches lately and when ever I need to read something...things are a bit hazy...Sooooo I figured I better get my eyes checked. I made an appointment and I was able to get in right away. This shop was nestled between two other stores. I would of missed it if the receptionist didn't tell me she could see KFC out the front door. This place reminded me of an older gift shop for some reason. The colors, smells and the atmosphere had a "grandma" feel to it. The receptionist was super nice. She checked me in and told me to have a seat or pick out some frames. I ended up checking out all the frames. So many styles and prices. Yikes, I didn't realize how pricey frames are. Finally, my turn to get my eyes checked. The dotor was very kind. She gave me some eye tests, blew air in my eyes and told me my eyes were better than great. No eye problems at all. I just needed some better readers. So a prescription for some reader was made. How easy was that. I'm not going blind after all. read more

I highly recommend this place, Dr Packer and his amazing team. I flew in to visit my dad with a very bad (didn't know at the time) eye infection and my parents took me after flying in and not being able to open my eyes. Dr Packer was able to squeeze me in that same day and his team was very thorough and listened to every step of days on how my eyes wound up so bad. Called in my prescription and did a follow up check up before I headed home as I am still trying to get into my local referral eye Dr at home. I give this a "1" star rating.I brought my glasses a year ago at Yavapai Eye care. The little plastic thing that holds your glasses on your nose, came off. (there are 2 little plastic holders) Told Staci the problem. She immediately took out a small piece of paper that she had me sign in case she broke my glasses, she (Yavapai Eye Care) is not responsible if that happens. I was shocked that she would require me to sign that paper. When she noticed my reaction, she said you can go somewhere else. But, I said I purchased my glasses here. I reluctantly gave her my glasses hoping she would not break them. MY uncle was an optician: I have been wearing glasses since grammar school, I have been to many eye glass places since my uncle retired and never had anyone ever have me sign a paper in case they break my glasses when fixing a minor thing like the plastic holders. Seems this person Staci may not be competent in her job. I would not recommend this business to anyone! read more

This last month, after trying to use my reading glasses for nine years, I went to Yavapai Eye Care because I had experience with Dr. Packer at another group. In the past I've struggled with getting the right reading glasses for my now 73-year-old eyes. Staci was excellent in helping me get the right glasses. From the time I got the glasses, I knew they were perfect. The price was reasonable. Naturally, I went back for a minor comfort adjustment. Again, Staci and the office staff were accommodating. I plan to stay with Yavapai Eye Care for any eye care needs, including medical procedures. read more

Saw Dr. Smedley about my eye that was watering excessively, the staff were all very friendly and professional. I initially went in to just get my eye looked at, and Dr. Smedley recommended going on antibiotics before looking at any procedures. After a week of antibiotics my eye seemed to be better, but it the watering started a few days after i stopped on the first round of antibiotics, so I went back in about a week later and got more antibiotic pills and eyedrops for 2 weeks instead of 1. 2 weeks later and my eye is back to normal. Dr. Smedley was very informative and friendly and answered any and all questions about my eyes. I would definitely recommend going here if you are having any troubles with your eye. read more

I came here for the first time a few years ago on the recommendation of a friend, and so far I've come back every year for a new pair of glasses. I like options and am fortunate enough to have insurance that allows me to get a new pair every year so I like to take advantage. Every time I've been to the store I have been helped by Terri the owner. She has a talent for finding the perfect glasses. I remember my first time there I ended up getting the first pair of glasses she showed me after trying on about 20 other pairs. I just kept coming back to them and even now 2 years later I still wear them regularly. Antone Optical has a great selection and even better customer service. Just this last year when I went back to Antone Optical I brought my boyfriend because he needed new glasses badly and Terri once again worked her magic and picked out a great pair for him. We also happened to be moving out of state at the time and Terri shipped our glasses to our new home complete with cleaner, cases, and even complimentary note pads (which my boyfriend uses all the time). I've always had a great experience and I highly recommend visiting them the next time you're in the market for some new specticals. read more

Always Outstanding! I found Antone Optical shortly after moving here 10 years ago. Having a very high prescription with an astigmatism, I have a hard time finding glasses. After my first exam I was greeted by Terri (sp?) who presented me with over 15 frames that would look nice with my high prescription. I have never been presented with so many options! Fast forward a few years when my employment changed and I had vision insurance through my employer. Unfortunately, my insurance was not accepted at Antone and per a co-worker, I went to another private eye care facility in Prescott. Although they had above average service, I was not happy with the lab they used and my glasses looked different when I had the lenses replaced. The next year I had the lenses replaced in another frame and I had to have them redone twice (at my insistence since the edges looked like cracked glass). Although they completed this process I had to really push it and went directly to the website to voice my complaint which was read by one of the doctors. The lenses still are not as they were originally and my sunglass attachment no longer seats correctly and rubs on the lens. I returned to Antone since leaving my employer and I wish I would have never left. I should have paid to go out of network and continued with Antone! I was having some issues and called to see Dr. Frost. She examined my eyes, put in drops, assured me that nothing was at issue except some ingrown eye lashes. She gave me some ocular wipes that will help when this happens again. She spent over a half-hour with me and only charged me $20, gave me a box of the ocular wipes and welcomed me back. Forget the rest and go with the BEST! These ladies know what they are doing, how to treat clients, have a great selection of frames, and really deserve the designation of the best! read more

Most of my family uses Antone Optical for glasses and contacts. Terri runs a great business and is really customer service oriented. She won't let you walk out looking kooky if your pick is not as good as you think it is! Renita Frost is the optometrist and she is very thorough with exams. I wear gas permeable contacts which are tricky to fit. We moved here a couple years ago, and my eyeglasses were so scratched that I knew I needed a new pair... Looked at every single eye glass store for the perfect frames. Believe it or not, Antone Optical was the very last place I looked. Wish it would have been the first, would have saved me tons of time! Terri was awesome! So professional and fun! She was a delight to work with. Oh! And guess what! I found my perfect frames. Been a couple years since my eyes were tested, so I had that done by Dr Frost. She was also a delight to work with!
