Seriously, choose a DEF fence company. My bid went fine, but, from the moment Yavapai Fence got my almost $4 grand deposit, they never called me back for over two weeks. FINALLY, I got a date for installation. I was pleased with the crew and crew supervisor. BUT, I was told, my fence would NOT be stained or weather coated. Granted, I am getting one wooden fence and a chain linked fence out front, to close up my yard, but, for 7 grand, I did expect treated wood. Worst part? They came on a Tuesday, but have not returned. The Receptionist, a man, rudely told me, they would return next week, like I was a moron, for even asking the question! Meanwhile, me and my neighbors have NO clue, when this big crew plan to reappear on our block, to build the fence for these fence posts. YES, they have been in business 30+ years, but, that doesn't mean they are STILL reliable. Calling them, I feel like I interrupted them at home or on a date, or something. Rude, dismissive, and unable to just text or call me, when IS the date, I will finally get my fencing completed. P.S. The supervisor handed me his card, his son does stains and fence repair. So, these men have a nice racket; Fence Company sells unfinished wood fences, the Stain Company gets God knows how much MORE, to finish the job?!? Unethical and sneaky. I do NOT mind paying for high quality services. I do mind being set up, to keep paying, for what I thought would be done right, the first time. It is WAY easier, to treat the fence, BEFORE, it is erected. read more

I don't normally take the time to write reviews. In this case the experience with Yavapai Fence personnel was so awesome I felt compelled. From the office staff to the sales and install personnel, exceptional. I felt cared for, I felt like one of their family. We have a very difficult lot and we had our share of challenges I won't go into. The point is yavapai never let me down throughout the entire process. I highly recommend them to anyone. read more

Scheduled and had a welded ranch style fence installed around the home to keep dogs and small children in - and critters out. The estimate was reasonable in price but was 18-20 weeks out. They were true to the timing. They did a great job, very professional, and kind. The quality of the job matched the pricing. They showed some flexibility in getting the job done in time to meet an event on the property. I would certainly use them again. They do, however, need to look at their deposit policy, especially for residential customers. Requiring 50% down and scheduling 4-5 months out is extreme. A 10% deposit at contract would have been more reasonable with the other 40% due at 4 weeks from the timing of the job. read more

Tried for over a month to get the Rep that worked for the VOC area to call me back. Called many times and the receptionist told me she would have him call me back right away and that this was not normal. I never got a call back, then was told she was giving my message to owner and still to this day have received a call back. I was referred by our landscaper, who to use and was told that it might take them a while to call back but I never have dealt with a company that doesn't care about returning calls and getting a big deal. I live in Oak Creek Canyon, and have a 1.5 acre parcel that is both chain linked and rod iron. I spoke with Ben about a quote. His team was able to provide a quote, after inspection, and within 2 weeks of receiving the quote the job was finished. I'm thrilled with the work that was performed. I have 3 dogs, and live on 89A ... a well traveled road. The work was completed within 2 weeks of receiving the quote and my dogs are safe! I am so grateful for their professionalism and service that I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the area. Thank you Ben and crew! Great job!!! on out gates & fence for pool. The non-climb fence is straight and plumb. The crew had to fight a Very rocky ground to set the posts. They did an outstanding job. Ben and Chris were AMAZING on the gates! Very pleased. They made sure the self closing gates were up to code for the pool. The response time to get a quote for our small repair job was good. Price quoted was not out of line. We signed contract and paid our 50% of total bill. We were told job was 6 weeks out due to their busy schedule. For us to call at 4 weeks and see where they "were". We fulfilled all of our requirements but they are still too busy to get to us. They have had our 50% for 6 weeks. If this was too small of a job to be put on their schedule, then why not let us know at the start. Our decision to cancel and reschedule, when we have the time to sit and wait. read more

We obtained 2 bids for a fence and we decided to go with Yavapai Fence because their time frame was months shorter than their competitor. We paid for the fence in full after speaking to an agent. Yavapai Fence never sent anyone to our home while we were home so all communication was over the phone. We were very specific about what we needed which included flattening out the back portion of our property line. Job was 12 weeks out. It has been 5 months and still no fence. They sent out utility workers over and over again without letting us know. Then we find out in the 11th hour that they added a tiny portion to the contract which my husband did not notice where it stated WE would flatten the property ourselves (we have no way to do that) and it was our responsibility to obtain the permit. Nobody at Yavapai Fence ever told us any of this information. Their timing and communication is HORRIBLE and I would never recommend using them. If you do - make sure you read VERY carefully the terms of the agreement and get everything in writing. The price was reasonable, but not worth the huge lack of communication and the horrible timing. Whoever we talked to and who gave us the quote did a really bad job of relaying what we needed. Very disappointed with this entire process. read more

I called Yavapai Fence because I had a driveway double gate that needed to be replaced. I have never written a review before, but I feel that the product that I received was very poor, especially for the money I paid to get the job done. From the quote to the finished product, there were problems. I waited months to have the job completed, and then when one of the gates tweaked after being installed, I asked them to come out to fix it. The young man who came out said they could do nothing because the tweak was caused by the nature of the wood. I questioned the construction of the gate which used less lumber for the framing than the gate which was replaced. The framing they did had no vertical or diagonal pieces, only horizontal. I feel that was the cause of the tweak, but was told they could do nothing. I feel like this company overcharges for a product which is far inferior to the cost. They clearly want the most money for the least amount of work, and I strongly discourage you from doing business with them. The only positive thing I can say is that in speaking with everyone, they were always polite. read more
