I've finally made it to the Pig Pounder. I signed up for their 5K run which was such a fun event…read more It's a great establishment if you are looking for a laid back place with plenty of room to spread out. It's large and open, which makes it perfect for hanging out without feeling cramped. Their beer lineup is solid with something for anyone. Honestly, I wasn't a fan of their lager. It was alright. However in their lineup was a pilsner alongside several IPAs and other options. Overall, it is a cool brewery with a comfortable atmosphere. Will be back to break into their other beers.

We usually come for the fireworks in the summer. The place is mostly a cash grab, though they did…read moreseem to have more options in vendors this year. I don't like that so many of their activities have an added charge. $5/person for that poor excuse of a train ride is pathetic. Food was also expensive and mostly mid, but the brisket was pretty flavorful with good smoke on it. Live band was pretty disappointing and sound quality was poor. Would've preferred simple bgm or even silence. I like that they had big open space this year on the lawn, instead of parking cars there, to setup chairs and picnic blankets to watch the fireworks. I don't like, however, how short the show was. It was 18 minutes. That's pretty sad, tbh. I would've anticipated at least a half hour. That said, I'm sure I'll forget and do it all again next year so we can take the kids to see some fireworks again where it feels somewhat less congested than in other places. Charging to park the car for events just feels pretty cheap too. Like it's your property. How else would you like me to get there so I can spend money buying your food and doing your activities? I do hear the spooky walk is good during Halloween, though, so I'll have to try that.

We got there and there wasn't too much to do unless your children are really small. They truck to sign is cool. We enjoyed the basketball game you can play. The hayride was okay. It was really short. It could actually be walking distance for some. They have a lot of pumpkins to choose, but only the little ones are free. The lemonade was okay, it did its job for the random hot day it was. I wouldn't return just because I have no little children.
