Some of us were nervous as we do not see ourselves as "artistic", but we were open minded. We brought lots of wine, champagne, cheese, fruit, etc. The two ladies who were instructing the class were super helpful on the steps and techniques. They reminded us this was fun and not to be stressed over. We all ended up having a wonderful time!! And by the end of it we were all quite proud of how our artwork turned out. Might even hang mine in the dining room! They have dozens and dozens of pictures to choose from for private and public painting sessions. They brought by fresh water for our brushes several times. They also use a fast drying paint so you do not have to worry about transporting your painting. I am not a very good artist but with their help I was able to make a nice painting of my dog. You can also bring wine beer or your own food. They offer 3 colors of paint with the plaster (which seems a bit cheap), but they were flexible with that rule and also gave the kids extra paint if they needed. All told, it was a fun experience for them, but $66 for 2 pieces seems rather expensive to me. Would come more often if it wasn't so expensive.

That date was cancelled by the artist due to football on Sundays. Ok, we rescheduled. That, too was cancelled for the same reason. Fed up, we found one for a Saturday (2 months later) with an image we actually like. We arrived at exactly 7pm, and felt like we were 10 minutes late. Our instructor, Angelique, was punctual! We immediately sat down and went to work. I was surprised by how much fun I had. Angelique was funny, full of energy, and very helpful. My girl and I had so much fun painting we forgot to order a drink! We declared that we must do this again! I would have taken stars off for the inconvenience of having to rescheduling it twice, but our initial choices were out of town and we also loved it so much we forgot about that mishap.

We've done a few of these before and really enjoyed them, always ending up with something useful and unique to us, like bowls, vases etc r this time was supposed to be bird house, but we went rogue and made console holders instead. The "Taste of art" classes are offered in many subjects, pottery, wood working glass, print making etc...no experience is needed, it's truly geared towards beginners to see if it's something you'd like pursue further with other classes. Pricing is reasonable, staff has always been friendly, open to helping and supplies are typically always provided. We've done this as a date night to break routine several times and no doubt will do it again. Get your creative juices flowing and go try something new!

The cost is $160 but they do have scholarships available. I was blessed to be awarded one and only had to pay about $60 for the class! This particular class is every Tuesday night for the month of September. There are LOTS of creative classes available in numerous mediums. I'll post a few screenshots to give an idea! They also have classes for youth! There is a parking lot directly across from the building. Just be mindful not to park in any reserved spots. There is also some street parking nearby. The location is visually appealing which I appreciated. The staff members I encountered were very pleasant and helpful as I found my way to the photography studio. The instructor Sydni Bibb is very engaging, helpful and supportive as we all learn what we're doing. I will be relocating soon but if I weren't, I'd be coming here for lots more opportunities to foster my creative side! Incredible place

They suggested we come check out this art center. I'm so glad they did! You walk into GreenHill and see gallery rooms and children's art exhibit through the center hall. Walk past the info desk til you come to the studio. They have books and a fun art installation after passing through the first room. Keep walking and they have markers and colored pencils and paper to draw. In the back they have an easel wall - string and clips with color paper to paint. There were tables for clay and one attendant was setting out mirrors for the kids to do self portraits. All this was free when we went On Fridays they have story time and art for a nominal cost. The space feels warm and inviting, and the team did a wonderful job setting the tone for the evening. They offered a nice selection of drinks at the bar and tasty party bites to enjoy while exploring the artwork. One of my favorite parts of the night was meeting several of the artists who rent studio space there, everyone was so friendly and open to talk about their work. It really highlighted how much of a creative community this gallery is building. I'm already looking forward to coming back, especially to check out one of their upcoming classes or workshops. Thank you to the entire Marshall Muse team for the thoughtful curation and hospitality. I left feeling inspired and connected.
