We got there a tad early to enjoy some snacks and drinks before discovering our artistic sides. I would recommend finishing your food before painting as there is limited space to do both at the same time. Our instructor made sure we were all following along and not feeling rushed. Whenever I needed fresh paint, there was somebody there to supply me with more as soon as requested. I truly felt focused on my art and pampered otherwise! Our end product isn't perfect, but it's as unique as our time spent at muse paint bar. I'd recommend this to anybody for a date, a birthday party, or other group celebratory event!

As I entered the studio, I found a bar counter and a menu for the bites. There are about three rooms for paintings, along with clean washrooms and a hand-washing area. I made the reservation online for my friend and me, where we could choose between different slots and see the painting we'd be working on in advance. They advise arriving a few minutes early to place an order for food and drinks. They also have validated parking spots. I ordered the cheese pizza with hot honey and a strawberry lemonade for myself. The staff is extremely friendly and approachable. They led me to my table, which was nicely set up with a canvas, paint, brushes, water, paper towels, and an apron. Our instructor for the evening was Steve. He took the stage, where he had his empty canvas and paints, along with a finished version of the painting displayed behind him. As we began, I looked at Steve and said, "I am so intimidated, for art isn't in my bones." He replied, "Don't worry, you don't need any experience in painting." And thus began our painting session. With a small group of six people, Steve guided us through every step, from blending colors to different painting strokes. He made the entire experience smooth with his humor, knowledge, and patience. The staff brought the food and drinks to our tables. The bites were extremely good, though I admit it can be challenging to paint and eat at the same time. Steve was kind enough to give us breaks to eat and interact between paintings. The whole session lasted about two hours, but time literally flew. My friend and I enjoyed the entire experience and didn't even realize how therapeutic painting really is! Once we finished, I couldn't believe my own creation; it was far beyond what I thought my artistic abilities allowed. I truly thank the entire Muse Paintbar team and Steve for such a memorable evening. And Steve was absolutely right: you don't need to be an experienced painter, just patience and attentiveness work here!

The spot itself can hold up to about 40 people. It is a little tight but it works. You can bring your own snacks and beverages. There's a table in the front for you to set them and I guess as long as you let everyone know that it's yours no one else will eat it... We just kept it on our own table since we have people that did not make it to class. We started late-about 30 minutes and we ended late. It appeared that we were waiting on a group of about 6 ladies. It gave us time to get our wine and cheese together! The directions that show up online are incorrect. They told us to go to south 9th but the address is actually the one listed on this post. This was a grand opening so maybe that's why. Anyway, great time and I would definitely recommend it!

Um, no...we were all on time so let's get this party started. I don't really care for doing 2 different paintings in one sitting because you have half the class just sitting there waiting. I understand it gives more variety, but it just felt rushed. Overall we had a good time and we are likely to go again but I iust ask to start on time. The folks who are late can just play catch up when they decide to show. ;)
