First of all, it's adjacent to the public library of Sun City, which makes it very convenient for us to go get our books and park in the same parking lot as the recreation center. The pool is huge and is set up for laps. There are quite a few swimmers that seem to be doing laps every time we go. Our favorite activity is walking in the lazy river type of swim area . The outdoor Jacuzzi is quite large and also located there. The water is heated in the Lazy River and is salt water so NO chlorine. People of all ages use these to get aquatic exercise. There's a cover over part of it and radio music is playing. Inside there is a huge gym and indoor Jacuzzi. There is also a dedicated room for step aerobics which we attended to day (lots of fun!) Massages are available for an extra fee near the front desk. Outside there are a variety of activities including tennis and a really nice Mini Golf course. Everybody is so nice and welcoming and we've been going early every day for the past 2 weeks. There are many other activities that I have not mentioned but I will add to this as I find out more.

An active adult could stay busy all day at this recreational center. There's bowling, swimming,…read morepickle ball courts, ham radio and all types of craft studios to name a few. Front desk consistently and deliberately lies about rentals. We booked the large room for our…read morewedding under the guise that the required bartending service allowed us to supply our own alcohol as long as they were sealed. NOW 60 days out we are being told otherwise and with absolutely little care. This low on their part is going to cost us thousands of dollars. The front desk worker we spoke to today was so nonchalant and had no clue how to do the very basics of her job. To say I'm pissed is an understatement.

I can get them in the same class at the same time as long as they are swimming at the same level. Our girls have been in the water their entire lives as we have a pool. Even so last year they didn't like being splashed or getting their faces wet. This year they are getting their faces wet and they have our little one swimming down to the bottom of the pool to pick up rings. The both are able to float on their backs for 30 seconds. They do a fabulous job here. This year their teachers are Mr. Kyle and Miss. Ella. and Miss. Liz. They had Miss. Ella last year and adore her. Mr. Kyle and Miss. Liz do a great job as well. They missed Mr. Cooper this year. Our girls are late bloomers as swimmers, but even if they swam like fish they would never be alone by a pool or unsupervised. Not being pros at their age does not concern me. They are amazing and doing great. Everyone has their special gifts. They are getting better every week. The recreation center will notify you if lessons are canceled due to weather. They don't do lessons if lightening is within 10 miles. They will call, email and post on their Facebook page if they need to cancel. The gal who runs the office is a sweetie. We definately will be back next year. I wear a lot of hats and I think it is a treat for them to have others to guide and teach them.

This is a great park to get access to the canal trail which is what I use it for. No issues with people tampering with your vehicle due to the volume of people who frequent the park. You can fish, use the gym, bring your offspring to the play area or get on the canal trail and bike, walk or run.

Dos Lagos Lake is a man-made lake for a private housing community in Glendale. My boyfriend and I…read morevisited his parents who live in the area and we took a walk around this neighborhood lake. It's nice that those who live in the community have their own neighborhood lake, which is easy to access and walk around with the paved walking trails around it. However, the lake purely is for the view. There is no swimming, fishing, boating or any other recreational activity allowed on the lake. There weren't even benches around the lake. Although there are signs around the area to not feed the ducks, word is that many residents disregard this rule and proceed to feed the ducks. Therefore, when the ducks see humans walking around, they start to follow. That was entertaining. It was nice to walk around and explore the neighborhood, but this is not a traditional lake, as this is purely for looks.
