As a woman, it is incredibly difficult to find a shop where you not only feel heard but respected. A & A is that place. I went for an oil change not that long ago at another shop. At the end, the tech told me he had noticed that I had an oil leak. He had dripped some oil around and left my oil cap off to further prove his point. He quoted his "good deal." I drove around terrified for a few days, checking the levels way more often than necessary, worrying that running errands could ruin my car. I finally called A&A in a panic. The man (the owner, I believe) who answered the phone really listened to me, and called me an hour after I dropped it off to tell me that I did not have an oil leak at all! There was a teeny little part that needed to be replaced, my car would be ready by early afternoon... OH, and A&A charged me half of the oil change tech's "good deal." I tell EVERYONE how wonderful this place is, and it is so great to have a trustworthy auto shop in town. :) Please do not ever go out of business!

I was also having issues with my other vehicle with the A/C, brought that in the same week to get both cars back to normal. We told them it could be the compressor. They stated it was a fan that went out. Then a couple days later the car still wasn't blowing cold air. Brought it back and they THEN said it was the compressor. We fixed it and now when the car is idle, the A/C doesn't blow cold air. Basically the car has to be running at a certain speed for it to blow cold air. I'm guessing the condenser is the issue now but you would think as an auto repair place they would check THE WHOLE SYSTEM. Almost $2000 later, one car is still making the same noise and the other's A/C isn't working. The people are nice, I'll give them that. It's so hard to find a good mechanic. I definitely had high hopes.

This place was recommended to us by a friend who said, "these guys (the mechanics) really know what…read morethey're talking about" and he was right. After having gone to a dealership and told my car was going to be pretty much inoperable because of the transmission needing to be replaced outright, I was beginning to panic. We reached out to this shop over the phone to just schedule getting my vehicle looked at to see what repairs needed to be done and of the transmission could simply be repaired (or needed to be completed replaced). Luckily when we came in the mechanic was thorough and we found out that the transmission was fine and would be for a good while still. The next order of business would be to get my AC fixed by getting a quote for that. The inspection and ac repair cost me about 900 dollars (give ir take). But they also did some other minor repairs just because, such as fixing the fuses in my car to get the lights working, air in the tires, car realignment, tires rotated and air put in. We had a short time frame to try to get the ac fix and there was some issues finding the right sized pieces to fix it, but after the first, second and third try, she was as good as new. The front desk was also very nice when I had any questions and worked with my schedule to get this all done. I highly recommend this place to anyone that needs repairs on their vehicle and is looking for a reputable mechanic that won't price gauge you for themselves.

Even if you just came in for an estimate, but never had it repaired. Simply walk in and get a CARFAX damage report over a Minor Dent. I discovered a small dent on my car that occurred while it was parked. I went to Shalom auto body for a repair estimate. The estimate was outrageous for such a small dent, so I decided not to have it repaired. Today I found out that it was reported to CARFAX. There was no accident, no police report, no insurance claim, and no repair was done. This auto shop was the only place I went for an estimate. I highly recommend to stay away from this shady business. I wish I had never stepped my foot in there.

They quickly took down the pertinent information as to which service I needed (towing) and gave me a reasonable quote. I did not feel like the person on the other end had any under tone of "take or leave it" attitude as thy provided the cost for service. The conversation was very pleasant and at the end I was given a time frame of a 2 hr window for expected time of arrival. When the 2 hr time frame was approaching they called me to let me know the truck maybe 10 mins later than anticipated. Courteous and professional!! I took my car to this place because he had done work for me in the past. I thought that he was a…read moregood honest individual. Well he's not! My transmission had went out and I had it towed to his shop. He told me that it needed to be rebuilt and that the differential had went out in it. He charged me $1,900.00 dollars to do the job. He did not rebuild my transmission he put a used transmission in it from a salvage yard or just used the same one from my car and added a part to it. It was also leaking oil from the back of the engine. I ask him if he had changed the rear main seal in it because he had to have seen the oil leak when he took out the transmission. He said that he had not. He did retake out the transmission again and said that he had changed the seal. And he said that he saw something else and plugged it. He said that it was still leaking oil though. The area that he plugged looked a mess and you could see exactly where the leak was coming from. He didn't fix the leak and he put it back together for a second time and gave it back to me. I took my car to my other mechanic and found all of this mess! Yeah, the car is running but he did not fix it or rebuilt the transmission as he charged me! I also asked to see the receipts for the so called parts he bought and he refused!!! That right there said it ALL! This was a half ass job that he did to me. I am warning all future customers to NOT bring your car here because you will get screwed over. Definitely do your research and find a trust worthy transmission mechanic. I will never go to this place again and I will be filing a lawsuit against him! Because this is unacceptable!
