The staff is very friendly and caring and due to the language barrier, whenever they dont know what is bothering my mom they will call us so that we can talk with her and find out if there is anything that they can do to make her feel better. They always engage the residents in different activities, for instance, they decorate the Christmas tree together, draw, plant vegetables, hold music shows, paint vases, etc.... It was a hairline fracture of her scaphoid (sp? not checked) which was more than enough to cause the pain. The doctor quickly completed the xray and confirmed this- and put on a thumb and wrist cast that, I dare say, it have gone MUCH worse if those doctors at Cortellucci has not been so diligent! They knew they had to treat the injury and took the time to explain the situation to my neice, my sister and me so that we could all be comfortable with what was to come. Today, 6 months later, she is playing ball again-- tearing it up! I think the doctors, radiology technician, and staff members who knew what to do and did exactly what we expect in our public health care system! Kudos!

This is a retirement home, not a nursing home and therefore, I do not expect nursing care. The home is for fairly healthy people who do not want the hassle of a large home with its maintenance and upkeep. Prices are in line with other homes of this type. One of the most important considerations was my elderly dog, which I was allowed to keep. There are a few animals here and it's nice to have them. The activities are numerous and the choice is yours as to how much or how little you wish to join them. If you are thinking that it's time to shrug off the responsibilities of home ownership and enjoy the remaining years of life, I would recommend that you consider The Court at Brooklin.

They do not offer assisted living at the level she needs but the director tried to say they could. She can't afford a private PSW 25/7!!! This is her life and health we are talking about, I was very upset that they tried to argue doctors assessments!! There is only ONE elevator and be prepared to pay movers extra as they do not accommodate moving out as much as they do in? sad that leaving has left a bitter taste in our mouth. After he had a fall, I knew it was time that we found a retirement home or assisted living. My father is still able to walk and wanted some independence, but having home cooked meals, a clean room, laundry, medication, and all the support that Fairfield offers on a daily basis made life so much easier for us. It is truly a blessing to know my father is well taken care of and to not have to worry any more. Fairfield is family owned and the owners and staff truly care. It was just a no brainer for us to go with Fairfield as compared to some of the big institution-like senior homes that you see around in Toronto. My father has lived for the last 20 years in Long Branch, Etobicoke, so it was perfect that he could stay in the neighbourhood. His mother tongue is also Ukrainian, which was perfect as there are Ukrainian speaking staff members as well. They celebrate every birthday and always have lots of activities. My father loves gardening, so the owners even specially bought him some tomato plants and herbs and helped him plant a little vegetable garden. We are so happy with Fairfield assisted living and I couldn't recommend them more highly!

I was very worried and concerned for her as you hear so many scary stories about nursing homes and retirement residences but Fairfield is an incredible home. It doesn't feel like an institution. It feels like a home. The bathrooms are newly renovated. There are hardwood floors in all of the bedrooms. There are pretty curtains on the windows and the furniture is quite nice too. There is a common living room with a great big flat screen TV as well as a common dining room that also has a flat screen TV along with an electric fireplace. Before Covid I was able to go into Fairfield so I can tell you the home is meticulously kept. From outside, I can tell you it has exploded with Christmas! Angela, one of the owners, regularly sends pics and videos of my mom which I truly appreciate. I have pics of my mom from their Xmas party, when they decorated gingerbread houses and Xmas cookies, and I have some video from her exercise classes which my mom thoroughly enjoys. I've given my mom an iPad so I'm able to do video calls with her which is really great. The grounds are lovely. There is a big tree in the front and backyards with a patio, table and chairs, bbq and gardens. The staff are all incredible. Mack, Milda, Olga! They are all angels. Thank you! Oh, and the food! My mom raves about the food! It's all home-cooked food. We are eternally grateful. Thank you to you all.
