CYCLEBAR was my first cycling workout class experience, ever. To give you a heads up before your…read morefirst class, It has a learning curve. It reminded me of rowing where you have to pay a lot of attention to form and figuring it out before you get the hang of it. Though I don't think you'll really injure yourself here like you can with your back in rowing. I do Pilates at least once a week, walk daily, lift and do yoga, but need to find a little extra cardio I actually enjoy, so as a class pass junkie I signed up for this. It's close to my house but less walkable unless you have a lot of time. I'm always surprised there aren't any fitness studios besides Barry's at the waterfront . The highlight of this studio was the staff. From the front desk really being welcoming, having your locker already ready, and quickly able to instruct you on how to use the machine, it was really helpful. The class instructor was also very helpful after class when I explained what was not working well and he had a solutions focused mindset as well as letting me know that it took him 3 to 5 classes to kind of figure out what he liked. I was putting my weight in the front of my foot the entire time-- it seemed intuitive to me because the front of your foot is what's locked into the step -- but I knew something was wrong because my feet were numb the entire time I felt like I was walking in heels on a bike. Then when I sat down, my butt was sore, but I'm sure you would adjust to that eventually. He had a good explanation of where to put your weight in where you should feel the muscle that I will use next time. It was definitely a good workout, I actually sweat which I never do in most classes. Major tips: - if you're large chested in the strength class you'll need a strong sports bra like you would for soccer. You're welcome - Don't start with a strength class. As much as I love the weight piece you get a better feel of the bike, taking the centered class. - if it's your first class come 10 mins early or so + time to park. I came w 5 and cut it close trying to learn the bike and get locked in--literally. - Highly rec if you're in between shoe sizes go up a size. - Push from the back of your legs with your weight on your heels not the ball of your foot. Areas of improvement: - additional mic speakers or better distribution between the mic and music It was hard to hear the instructions sometimes - I wish you'd be able to opt in to receiving your "metrics" I feel like anybody showing up for a workout class has a win--most people don't go. There's so much competition in the corporate world and everywhere outside of work, just knowing your own stats, less so compared to others would maybe be more beneficial. I will definitely be back to try one of the centered classes that seems to be less competitive and more on the bike vs standing while I warm up my skills. Thanks all!

I walked in not see anyone at the front desk so I was really confused but if you just walk past the front door you'll get to the dance studio area. It's a little bit hard to find from the parking area but there are letters on the walls And you should look for the one under the E sign. Anyways the person who is at the real reception desk was really nice And there wasn't too much instructions when you gotten about what to do. The actual class that I took was strength training for 30 minutes and I would say that this is actually on the easier side for people who are used to intense workouts. It's mostly work on a yoga mat or standing up with smaller weights. The Iffg and there wasn't too much instructions when you got in about what to do. The actual class that I took was strength training for 30 minutes and I would say that this is actually on the easier side for people who are used to intense workouts. It's mostly work on a yoga mat or standing up with smaller Weights. The average age of people who come to this class is older and the gender is mostly female. Still the class was a really fun high energy class and the prices are usually reasonable for the class. Anyways probably wouldn't come back again because my preferred exercise is really high intensity but if you are someone who's looking for a more chill workout and a pretty energetic instructor and come here just to check it out. It's also pretty close to Fred Meyer's.

The Jazzercise center is a great place to work out ! Great instructors and a lot times to pick from!read more

If you're like me and have a lot of friends on weight loss meds this summer, you might find…read moreyourself in the same boat as myself, wanting results but not really able to afford that route and repping 'Team Po'zempic' As someone who's been doing cardio for years, it's easy to fall into a rut. That said, DAMN. I definitely don't feel that way in this spin class! The workouts are flexible for any level, and I can honestly say I sweat way more here than I ever do on the elliptical. Plus, I burn more calories in 45 minutes of spin than I do in an hour on the elliptical! The music's fun, the vibe is energizing, and they sneak in just enough arm work to keep it interesting. I didn't realize how much that mattered until I stepped on the scale and saw I'd lost five pounds (which is more weight loss in one month than in the 3 months previous!) Every instructor I've had has done a great job of making class easy to follow, challenging, and high-energy (and they're super friendly! I don't think I've had a single class where the instructor didn't take a second to say hi!) That said, a few tips! I went with the Black Star membership which is perfect for my needs. If you go with this one and RSVP for a class, MAKE SURE TO SHOW UP (because they WILL charge you for the missed class!). That said, I haven't had any problems getting into a class, so it's def worth waiting a little bit closer to class time before hitting the RSVP button! It's a $3 shoe rental fee, so if you've got clippy shoes, bring 'em along!

Love how welcoming the trainers are and how they keep the class motivated throughout the entire ride. First shoe rental is free so give it a try! I'm not really rating Cascade AC on the whole in this review but rather their policy or lack…read morethereof. I enjoy swimming and Cascade has the best pool in the area so participation here is a matter of limited selection. My problem is the lack of policy/signs/refereeing something that keeps inconsiderate lane swimmers in line. Cascade has no posted policy or signs that direct how people should behave when there are others waiting for a lane. Since there are numerous older adults that seem to have developed blindness because they don't 'see' people waiting nor do they ask anyone. Instead, they see someone getting out of the pool and head directly to the lane that just opened up simply not caring that others are waiting. Most people seem to want to avoid conflict so nothing gets said empowering those who are already feel privileged enough to just jump in. Then there's me. I will say something and I might not be nice about it because your rudeness put you in my path. So, lane cutters if you can't turn to those waiting and ask then expect to get called out or for me to jump in 'your' lane. I simply won't stand for your rude behavior or whatever excuse you have for being like you are. As for Cascade - this on you. You have no policy, no guidance and no monitoring leaving us adults to police themselves. Fortunately, most do an exceptional job of policing themselves and have decency and courtesy. However, there are some that don't possess decency and probably have limited self-control when confronted about their behavior that could lead to an altercation between parties. If this were to happen to me you can bet that I would seeing you in court... And, while you are pondering this matter please scrub the pool! It's filthy. The walls and floor of the pool are coated in brown slime that cause slip when trying to push off. P.S. this also applies to those that are in a lane and invite someone that just shows up to join them instead of the next person in line as it should be. Friends don't get a free pass to the head of the line.

I'm really surprised by a couple of reviews that say the pool or facility is dirty. The place has…read morealways looked quite clean during the last year I've been going there. The pool and facility are wonderful and well-maintained. It's a great gym, I highly recommend.
