Stopped in for a coffee and a pastry. I had a vanilla latte and some sort of amazing bacon doughnut. There's a little couch area, tables and seating for around 20. Very clean little shop with quite possibly the best coffee I've had in Tucson. Local pastries and a few wrapped sandwiches in the fridge. We found this by chance and we are sure glad we did! They have a nice local and friendly feel to the interior. Boards describing specials or different types of brewing styles or types of coffee are posted and written on chalk. A few TPD officers were enjoying coffee as we entered. The young woman at the front counter was extremely friendly and of course knowledgeable. Answered our questions and pointed us in the right direction. We went with the Mexican Decaf shared in a lot brewed using the Chemex method, which appears to be a type of pour over. It was served in a really neat class carafe at a nice long wooden community type table. To say the least, the coffee was excellent. We were fortunate enough to be sitting at the table with David, who I believe to be one of the owners. He let us see the current YouTube video he was editing about some of the coffee. He also let us read a book they have made that tells you about some of the history of the business and it's single source farms. Very cool. The owners are exceptionally friendly, and the inside is comfortable. Huge props for their attention to the customer. I will admit I was somewhat underwhelmed by the coffee--their coffee is definitely decent, but I didn't find it exceptional (I tried their cold brew, drip, espresso, and siphon). Across everything I tried, I noticed the same thing: smooth and well prepared (didn't seem like an extraction issue), but the underlying beans didn't really hold strong distinctive flavors. read more

Yes! This place is perfect. It's tucked away in an industrial area which threw me off at first but, once you see the outside and the inside, there is no doubt it is an awesome coffee shop. Everything here has a story and that's what makes this place standout. Even their furniture and countertops have a story! Anna and her brother worked extra hard to put the store together and they did an amazing job! It feels like little house- it's beyond welcoming and coy. Fresh pastries come from Bavier's Bakery. Beans are roasted fresh, daily in small batches. Their cold brew is probably my favorite in town. No need for sugar or cream! Anna plans on incorporating classes too! What an interesting little find this place is. When you pull up directions and start making your way here...you may find yourself checking and rechecking your map just to make sure you're actually going to a coffee shop. Rest assured that you are. Yellow brick is located in a super industrial-looking area with lots of warehouse-type places. Last place you'd expect to find a good cup of coffee, but hey...hidden gems, right? The one time I went here I had an iced latte, as per my usual, and it was delicious. The space itself is much different than a typical "on-trend" independent coffee shop, which usually consists of a huge open space with natural light pouring in over the concrete or hardwood floors. I wasn't really sure what to expect when I pulled up to a business park only to find a small unit that had a coffee shop built into. But to my surprise it is probably one of the best coffee shops I found in all of Arizona I compare it to a place that I go to in Rancho Cucamonga California Klatch Coffee. They slow roast and make every cup of coffee to your liking. I will be definitely coming back here every day that I'm here in Tucson. The coffees come from all over the world and Anna and David work hard to find just the right roasting profile to bring out the best in each coffee. My current favorite is the Brazil. I've been stopping here consistently for the past couple of years or so since it's on my way to work. I get a large cup of whatever they have on drip since this is one of those rare coffee spots that makes great quality coffee available on drip. This place has some of the best coffee I've had since moving to Arizona, and it has some of the best cold brew I've ever had (and my 2nd best isn't even close). I was helped by Christina who recommended the Ethiopian Allona, Guji made in the Aeropress. The recommendation was spot on and brewed perfectly. When I decided to buy some coffee David helped me out and was very knowledgeable and helpful. The location is a bit off the beaten path but easy to find.
