Yellow Brick Coffee offers some great coffee options: Pour over, Aeropress, cold brew, and looks like siphon soon to come. Along with the usual espresso drinks. The location is in an industrial park. So the outside is nothing special and you should probably know the exact address and suite number (1) just in case. I'm not going to say it can't work. Blue Bottle has a location in Oakland on Webster Street that reminds me of this location. Unless you work nearby, this has to be a destination, which is what it was for me. The Tucson coffee scene is expanding with quality options . This makes me hopeful that YBC can make this successful. There is some indoor seating and a few options for food: bagel, quick bread, brownie and quiche were available when I went. Their cold brew option was made using their Honduras beans, which they direct source. They had 12oz bags of beans for sale including an Ethiopian, Costa Rican, Columbian and the Honduras. Anna, the owner, was working solo behind the bar. But she is personable and obviously passionate about her work. She has traveled to Honduras and Ethiopia (perhaps others). I believe this makes her unique in the Tucson coffee scene. She mentioned they are soon offering cupping and roasting classes. I hope to check those out! read more

Strange industrial complex coffee shop where it appears that they roast their own beans. Almost wasn't sure if this was an office or coffee shop, I opened the door and the counter was oriented way on the other side of the room. Not a big deal just odd. Girl behind the counter was friendly enough. Ordered the vanilla latte and scone. Unfortunately my latte was watery and bitter. No crema or thick foamed milk. Not sure what kind of equipment they were using looks like the newer automatic machine. Needs to be dialed in and perhaps some training on how to steam milk and tamp a shot for better crema. Could have been the beans old, grind old, grind too fine or too coarse, or too much or too little pressure on the tamp. Scone was dry and either old or over cooked. The roast was great however and this place has a lot of potential. I'd recommend giving them a try due to the great reviews. Everyone pulls an off shot once in a while. read more

This is kind of off the beaten path and I stopped in out of curiosity. I was not disappointed. This is leaps and bounds above Starbucks and the service is spectacular. Such a great find in a funky part of town! We had time to kill in between client meetings in an industrial area and popped in. We didn't expect it to be so perfect for a quick strategy session. Cold brew and maple bacon dossant were amazing and the staff super friendly. Very unique decor using recycled TEP spools and vintage doors. Must stop if you're in the area. read more

This place is great! The staff and owner are so friendly and helpful. The coffee is outstanding. They get their tea from a local business. From the outside it is a bit deceiving. It seems like a warehouse but inside is so cozy and comfortable. They can brew your coffee multiple different ways. And I love buying their roasted beans to give as presents. My favorite roaster in Tucson. They are passionate about what they do and nerdy (in the best way) about coffee. I've never had a bad cuppa from here. The location isn't the best for getting work done, but I truly hope they move to a more central location so that they can be open more often and for longer! I was in town for a few days and looking for a place to get a V60 pour over. Founds this place and decided to try it out. I'm into more of a a darker brew, which they did not have. They offered four coffees, Honduran, Guatemalan, Kenyan, and Ethiopian. These are more milder coffees, but tasted fine nonetheless. If they had a better selection, I would have rated higher, plus, the employees weren't the friendliest. Nice shop, but I've seen better. read more

I have been to yellow brick coffee once, and it was incredible. The barista had plenty of recommendations and I ended up going with an iced coffee- they make it a special way, and it tasted like it was special. It has a comfy atmosphere, but the location is a little off the beaten path. I definitely need to come here more often. read more

Awesome customer service! Specialty, boutique style coffee shop in the middle of nowhere. I found this place on yelp and decided to try it while I was waiting for my missing bags to arrive on the next flight. I'm obsessed with trying local coffee wherever I go and I'm so glad I stopped in. Not only was my mocha delicious and skillfully made, the owner kept me company the whole time I waited on my bags. The most interesting thing about this little shop is that the coffee is "100% traceable to it's origin and roasted on demand to ensure the freshest, tastiest coffee...." My mocha was literally made with real chocolate ganache made from a local baker!!!! Definitely worth trying something new and venturing off the beaten path. They also have a really unique, cool "Slow Bar," that includes a French Press, Pour Over, Aero Press, Chemex and a Siphon style of making their little specialty drinks and they sell decadent pastries from the same local baker who makes the ganache. I had an eclair of course and that made my experience even more delightful! To complete my visit, I bought my husband a "yellow brick" of coffee to try when I get back home to Las Vegas. Super friendly staff that are willing to educate you about all things coffee! The americano was crisp and full of flavor. I give it a 4/5 simply for the ambiance which is lacking. Being located in an industrial zone doesn't mean a place can't have A LOT of character! If this improves, it'll be a well rounded coffee shop. There was also a fabulous bacon sugar creme croissant that went perfectly with the americano! I will likely not drive back across town for this place simply because there are plenty of other coffee houses with much better ambiance for chilling and sipping on delicious java. read more

Got an Americano for 4.37, which is pretty pricy for a simple drink. I was expecting it to taste amazing since it was so expensive compared to every other Americano around town. It tasted watered down and I could hardly taste the coffee flavor. Also not a fan of the sizes. It's a 12oz medium (which is typically a small everywhere else) or 20oz large. Seriously, best coffee I've had in a long time. You know when you want to go out and get a really good cup of coffee? I'm not talking about the shop that's on every street corner, I'm talking about a legitimate, fresh roasted, cup of coffee...? This is the place. I'm lucky enough it's right next to work. When you order a hot latte it comes out piping hot and not burnt...their dark mocha is to die for and definitely not too sweet. You get the taste of dark chocolate followed by a divine taste of coffee! The little shop is very comfortable and cozy. Makes me want to hang out all day. Anna, one of the co-owners, knows her stuff! She's also great to talk to. Yellow Brick also offers a variety of fresh baked goods (I believe they're brought in buy a local baker - but don't quote me) either way delish! Worth the drive.
