The barista was very knowledgeable and steered me toward a maple spiced chai. When I commented that I don't like super sweet, they adjusted accordingly. The drink was perfect! I didn't get a snack, although they had some pretty pastries and I was definitely tempted! (Next time!). From a work space perspective, there are plenty of tables and accessible outlets so that was a plus. Three of our orders came out before the other two, and they told us they would bring the food to our table when it came out. We chose to sit outside, since the inside was full. After several minutes had passed, and the rest of our food hadn't come out, we went in to see our food had just been sitting on the counter. This was probably a miscommunication of some sort, but I do wonder how long they would have let the food sit there if we hadn't come in. The sandwich was good, but it did taste like something I could make at home. I would need to try more menu items at Ren in order to get a better idea, but the rest of their menu and bakery case does look promising!

For anyone unfamiliar, taiyaki is a fish-shaped pastry that works like a cone but it's soft and fluffy almost like a waffle or pancake. The ordering process is simple, you choose your base (I picked taiyaki), then a filling (Nutella or custard), an ice cream flavor and up to three toppings. They also offer pre-made combos if you don't want to build your own. Overall, Tea Leaf and Creamery is a fun, unique spot for some really tasty ice cream. Highly recommend!

Both items were made from high quality matcha, so expect the steep price tag associated. Combined with the baristas being unable to differentiate between drink orders at the end of their bar, I wasn't really amazed given the reputation Brucha has. Maybe I didn't even receive my drink, and the above is all unfounded, but I won't be figuring that out anytime soon.
