Frantically downloading uber and venmo to get a ride. then ed showed up out of the blue (like the Bat! haha) and saved the rest of the night. gave him the address and he immediately confirmed the hotel name. his ride (then) is not your typical yellow cab but he did call in his pickup/destination. over his cell phone which gave me the impression he is connected with a fleet. he gave us a short run down of the streets specially where the restaurants and bars are nearest our hotel. his fare was honest and fair ( based on our own internet search). when we were close to our hotel we passed along a convenience store and Ed asked if we needed to go for quick stop to get what we may need. I quickly responded yes! my wife and i quickly went inside and got bottle if water and some chips and toothpaste. that was really cool of ed. on our flight back to the west, tried texting him to book a ride back to the airport through the number on his call card he gave us. his response was within minutes. he was precisely on time; like military precise. turns out he is a vet! (thank you for your service Sir Ed !) Keeping his card and will be sharing he's info to all we know who is headed out to DAB. Hoping to avail of his services again next time we are in. He said he would be about an half hour or so. We waited for about a hour and called him again, no answer. We tried a couple of times more, same result no answer and no reply from the messages we left. The bugger left us stranded on a street corner with no way to get back to our hotel, about a 25 minute drive, at 130 in the morning !! Do not trust this guy to be responsible.
