Called Yellow Cab for a ride to a very important appointment at the Lymphedema Clinic. I figured they would be better suited to handle a wheelchair than, say, an Uber driver. I called them 90 minutes before my appointment, and they said it would be "a few minutes." I called them 30 minutes later, and they said it would be "a few minutes." I called them 20 minutes later and they said it would be "few minutes." Twenty minutes later the driver called and said it would be 15 minutes. At that point, I gave up, ordered an Uber and they arrived in 12 minutes. Yellow Cab is the reason Can services are being replaced by Uber and Lyft. read more

If you are thinking about using Yellow Cab of Lacey, Don't, just give Uber or Lyft a call. 24/7 isn't happening. I called a week in advance of a Doctors appointment. I was told I can't schedule a pick up in advance. I called at 8:00 pm the night before for a 5:00 am pickup. I was told to call back between 3:00 and 5:00 am pickup. They wouldn't make an appointment for pickup that early. I called back at 4:00am for a pickup at 5:00 am. I was told someone would be there. I call back at 5:10am and asked for the drivers progress because I need to be at the Hospital at 5:30am. I was told they never had a pickup order for me. I had to wake a friend and pressure them to get me to my appointment on time. They can't be counted on for anything. Loose their phone number. read more

Well I take back with that review. I had a very important VA appointment to get to, and I had to cancel because no drivers were available. I scheduled a cab pickup a day before and they said they can guarantee someone will be there. The day arrived and was standing at my front door waiting, but nobody appeared. It was 9:10, so I called just to confirm if a driver is available to pick me up, and they told me no drivers are available. It just seems odd because I scheduled a pickup a full day before. It was already 9:40 with nobody showing up, so I called again canceling the ride because I knew I'd never make my appointment, even if the driver showed up right now. It's like getting a cab is impossible these days. The VA no longer authorizes taxi service, they provide DAV travel, but never answers their calls to schedule a ride. read more

I ordered a cab on a Wednesday afternoon for the following day, Thursday morning, at 5 am which is when I always need a cab. It showed up when expected, and things were fine. The next week, I did the same, but they never showed up. When I called to find out where the cab was, the dispatcher (not the one I ordered my cab from) was confused - as there was no order for a cab for me - but said he would contact a driver. Fifteen minutes later, a cab showed up, at 5:20 am. The following Monday, when I had NOT ordered a cab, one showed up at 5 am. It was obvious to me that the dispatcher from whom I had originally ordered the cab for Thursday of the previous week scheduled it for the following Monday by mistake. For some reason, the following week I gave them another try (dispatchers are allowed one mistake, I suppose). I ordered a cab for the following day at 5 am again. At ten after five, the driver called and said she was running about 20 minutes late. When she finally got to me, she said they were very busy that morning - someone didn't show up - and she had had a fare to Lakewood (about 28 miles away!). The reason I call a day ahead of time is so I can make sure I get a cab on time, when I need one. I might as well have called that morning, for all the good pre-scheduling did me. I missed my bus connection to Seattle, and missed my appointment. I won't use them again. Dispatch needs to pull it together, and they need to give pre-scheduled fares priority - it is why you call ahead. (The second star is for the driver that picked me up the second time, when no cab had been scheduled for me. With barely enough time, he got me to the bus just as it was pulling out [the bus driver waited for me], and was very nice and respectful. So...an extra star, for him.) read more

They each took the time to shake hands and introduce themselves. This is the WORST experience I've ever had! The cab drivers in New York were better than what I went through on Jan 1st. Started the "experience" at 3pm. Waited, said one half hour. Ok I get they get behind but but 1 hour!!! Called and said "half hour". Once dispatch told me driver called (NOT) and I didn't answe so they cancelled. , ok. Mine wasn't an emergency but I had 2 places to go and not far from each other. He Finally got here at 7:45 pm. I would have called another company but didn't know how long it would be. I told him on the phone where I wanted to go and he went in a completely different direction. It was 10 miles more (cost me) I should have done something at that point but was hurting too bad and tired. He was a pompous ass! He (his name was Ben) kept the meter running while I went in to Safeway, ok, fine but he came in to shop too. He should have split it. He picked vodka and mixer and when I saw him he said it was for a customer. Because it's Yellow Cab don't assume because of their name they are better. My regular guy was booked. I've found that independent cabs are far better than "national" names. I usually book ahead. I tip well and the drivers will tell you that!! I will NEVER use yellow cab again!! With the exception of their driver Ben who has been absolutely amazing, the dispatcher is completely rude and unprofessional! I scheduled a ride at 7:30 am for a ride to work at 11:30 am ... Was told I'd have a ride.. 11:35 rolls around and no cab. I called to see what was going on and if they were on the way and get told there's no driver's right now. I've taken this cab company since the late 90s along with express cab. However in June of 2020 I had a MVA and I took yellow cab. It was alright. Now that I will be going back and forth from my place of residence up north for stay of 3 days, it is better I take a cab during those days up north I'm there in the winter. A flat rate of 85.00 was given by Express Cab (which was the cheapest price of all Olympia taxi's Fyi). Looks like I'll be going back to Express Taxi. read more

Easily the best taxi service in the area.....fastest response time, by far. Professional dispatch office that actually knows where each cab is located. And it doesn't matter if your ride is $5 or $50, you will get picked up. I've used them many times, and overall their cabs are the cleanest, inside and out. Couple of their drivers seem to have behavior disorders (or maybe they're just douchebags), but the majority are friendly, use deodorant, and not creepy. Every once in a while, I get somebody new but usually I get the same drivers over and over Just like any other cab service, they charge by the mile. Some drivers don't know the shortest route (or play dumb) so you gotta make sure your driver knows where he's/she's going. And of course, a couple extra bucks always makes it easier the next time around, just like any other cab service. Also, they accept credit cards without throwing a bitch-fit about cash. The card is verified with a company-owned device mounted on the dashboard, which I like a lot better than some app installed on the driver's smartphone Every once in a while, they do get backed up especially when the bars close on Friday and Saturday night. I've never written a review for something before but my experience was so bad that I had to write about it. I called the taxi two hours early to get me at 1:30 from work. I had an appointment at 2 about 10 min away. At 1:20 a driver calls to confirm my address and the address he got was somehow in a completely different town. Dispatch had confirmed my address twice with me so I'm not sure how it got so mixed up. But basically no one showed up for a long time. I kept getting calls saying that it would only be another 5 minutes and eventually at 1:55 I called the dispatch and just canceled the cab. It was too late to make it to my appointment at that point. Whatever. I didn't care. BUT then flash forward to that night at 1:15am. I am sleeping in bed and I start to get phone calls. I ignore the first two and don't think of any. Then I got worried on the third and listened to the voicemails. It was a driver saying he was at my location to pick me up. I still ignored it because I just wanted to go to bed. But he proceeded to CALL EIGHT TIMES and text that he was at my location. It really creeped me out so I didn't call back or answer any of them because I was half asleep and easily paranoid. Was using these cabs extensively this weekend but had a very negative experience the final morning that made us over an hour late for our panel. Dispatcher hung up when I asked her how long it would take our confirmed ride to arrive for our one hour trip. Called back after 30 minutes and she told me that we were second in line and both (!) cars assigned to the Capitol were out on trips that were taking them out of the city. I am disabled. Called a this cab company and they gave me a ride to Fred Meyer to get a money order for rent. They dropped me off but never came back to get me. The driver said his car broke down right after he dropped me off. When I called the office to get a ride home, they basically told me I would need to walk home. So that I did. Before I start my review, let me say something first. Most times in the past when I have read posts, I figured that the author was mad at the world and over-exaggerating their experience. MY APOLOGIES FELLOW REVIEWERS! They are spot on about this company. Let me share my poor experience that happened this past weekend. I was going to the Masquerade Ball at the State Capitol Saturday night and I wanted to take a taxi so me and my girlfriend could not only enjoy a night of dancing but to partake of the beer and wine bar so we could totally enjoy ourselves and not have to worry about driving back to our hotel. I asked the front desk to call us a cab for pick up and they chose Yellow Cab. The driver was a very nice and polite young lady. I told her that we wanted to go to the State Capitol building. She proceeded to inform us that she was new in the area (lived here for about a year) and put the destination into her smartphone. Well apparently, her smartphone was an idiot phone, because she proceeded to take us on a journey that took us along the side of I-5, a quick jaunt towards US 101, down a dead end street into an apartment complex, a bar three blocks away and finally on the opposite side of the building where the entrance was at. Now let me say this, after getting lost and almost dropping us off in the wrong place, you would think she would have adjusted the meter or taken a little off the final $17 fare to make up for the mistake. Not this cabbie. If you drove a cab and took your fares in the wrong direction, got yourself lost while the meter is still running and almost let them out in the wrong place a half mile from your destination and think that because I gave you $20 bill to cover the price of the fare that you deserved my $3 change as a tip, Lady you are really delusional. Yellow Cab, this is totally sad. I called a different taxi company for my return trip and not only did he pick me up in the right area, he got me back to my hotel in 5 minutes and only travelled on one street. This is the second sunday in a row that i have had to use a cab. I called a hour before i had to be to work last week and it took them an hour and 20 minutes to show up. This week i did their online ride set up for 30 minutes before i had to work, never got a confirmation about the ride so i called them an hour before i had to be to work and they said i was all set the cab should be here soon. I called 30 minutes before i had to be there and was told they should be here soon. I called 5 minutes before i had to be at work and was told, give me a minute to find the driver.
