When you absolutely, positively have to be there, don't call Yellow Cab... The night before my vacation, I reserved a cab for an early-morning ride to PBI. When my pick-up time came and went with no cab in sight, I called dispatch, only to be told that the driver was "less than 2 miles away." I waited 10 minutes. Called again. Now the driver was "less than one mile away." Dispatch told me not to worry, the driver would call as soon as he arrived at my house. Waited another 15 minutes. For nothing. Now in a full-fledged panic, I drove myself to Park and Ride, where I had to wait for their lone shuttle, and came thisclose to missing my flight (on the way to PBI, I saw a Yellow Cab circling aimlessly on a street about a half-mile from my house). Never did hear from the hopelessly lost Yellow Cab driver or the unhelpful dispatcher. Park and Ride set me back $70 as opposed to $15 for cab fare, but I rest easy knowing that Yellow Cab did not make any money off me that day, nor will they in the future. read more

I had used yellow cab on occasions over the last 12 years. Always to go from my residence to the airport, a distance of about 3 miles. It is straightforward and the driver had us taken me on a number of different routes. Primarily on the return trips. It's difficult for me to understand why it took from Chinatown to Reagan international in Washington DC calls less than this 3 mile trip in West Palm Beach. Cici S. caught them on a rare occasion or the review is a plant. The ability to use cash or credit card meters plus in any business situation. Never, when it was available, the credit card process go smoothly with this company. The machines assemble, however the drivers often seem to be mystified by it. I also don't like the only three options is to pay the tab plus the option of 15%, 20% or a 25% tip. You're not allowed to pay the fair alone. You may wish to check in real dollars or only 5% or input the amount you choose. Never has the service spirit worth a 20% tip. The GPS in the cats would be very helpful. Basic communication skills, in English, would be an asset as well. On each occasion I used this taxi company vehicles have been reasonably clean. There is a reluctance, on the part of the drivers, to use the air conditioner. The plus points. They have always shown up on time. They always call before, even if it is to get directions. They did not instill confidence in the services provided. would I recommend them to a friend? Yes I would, but I would prefer them to this review first. read more

I needed a ride from the airport to my hotel. I asked the driver if he accepted American Express. He seemed annoyed and asked me if I had cash numerous times until he finally relented. Then another guy showed up needing a cab. The driver proceeded to try to pressure the customer for a couple minutes to share my cab. Eventually he gave up, as the guy didn't want to share and another taxi pulled up. Finally, I got in the cab and we left. The driver never put his seatbelt on. He was accelerating very fast and was speeding through the sparse 1am traffic. I noticed that he was doing 60 in a 35MPH zone. When we finally got to the hotel a few minutes later, he told me to hurry up and use the credit card machine because my small ($6.46) fare wasn't worth his time. He was rude and dangerous. Called at 5.15 am for a taxi, I was told 10-15 mins. at 5.35 I called and was told it was coming and I asked how long as I need to be to the airport, he said he would call the driver. and asked me for my phone number. I gave it to him. 5.45 I called back he said em the driver says the route it too short, sorry! But he was going to personally pick me up and why didnt I text him my location 10 mins ago. I replied because you asked me for my phone number you never gave me yours? and why didnt they write down my address when I first called half an hour ago. Would get a notification a cab was on the way but right after it would say "searching." A man called me and told me he was sending someone and they would be here in 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, I called and asked where he was in which he responded "he'll be there in 10 minutes." After 20 minutes I tried calling the company again and it told me they were still searching for a driver. All in all, i had to cancel it after about 45 minutes. Assholes never showed up after 50 minutes and three calls to the company. They keep saying they are 6-8 minutes away. All lies. Place my call for a cab and waited neay 40 minutes after the person I spoke to told be 10 minutes. The driver and the cab were filthy and I had to argue with the driver about the route I wanted to take. After arriving at the restaurant. I attempted to pay with my Amex driver said the machine was not working. He told me he would leave the meter on and take me to an ATM if I needed cash. Terrible cab ride. We waited for 45 minutes for them to pick us up during which they called twice asking where North Highway A1A was. Their website said it was an average of $2.64 a mile. We were 11 miles away. That should have been $29. It was over$50!!!!! When I called to ask about this they told me I had the wrong cab company while I'm sitting in THEiR cab. I reserved my cab online around 5:00 p.m. and was told on the website that someone would call me to confirm my reservation shortly. I received a call at 9:40 p.m. (I was already in bed since I had to get up at 4:00 am) and I could hardly understand the person on the other line because the accent was so thick. My cab driver called prior to picking me up (again I couldn't understand this person either) and he was prompt. Once at the airport I wanted to use my credit card to pay and was told "cash only". I questioned it and he said "cash only" again. Normally the cab ride is around $60.00 but his ride was almost $80.00. I paid in cash and vowed to never use this company in the future. I called the company once I was at my next destination and was told that they do indeed take credit cards. I explained the situation and he couldn't give me an answer as to why I couldn't use my credit card. I wish I would have read ALL the reviews before using this company. read more

HORRIBLE!!!! Driver took off with my bags, and dispatcher was incredibly rude to my husband and me. She kept repeated "did the driver fail to pick you up" several times - couldnt get story right no matter what.Had to call police... all they had to do was call me to arrange a pick up point...refused to give address, lost and found number disconnected - dispatcher refused to give call over to a supervisor, said was tough luck - I will never ever use them again no matter what. I am prosecuting as of this writing. They refused to help even though the driver admitted he had my bags. Okay-I have never written a review before, but I was so upset with the service I received that I purposely downloaded the Yelp App and created an account just to write about my experience with this cab company. My friends and I wanted to go out for drinks on Sunday night, we drank a little before I called the cab but nothing outrageous, just a little tipsy. Anyway the cab showed up he made us feel like it was a huge inconvenience that he had to drive us to a local bar. Once we got there he totally over charged us because he thought we were drunk and we called him out saying that we will pay him what the meter says, he got real defensive and started yelling that we owe him additional money for gas! Anyway, a trip that should have cost us 40 dollars turned into being 60 dollars (we've taken cabs to this place before). I was so upset and totally felt taken advantage of. Never again! read more

I was extremely disappointed with this service. I called the night before to reserve a cab for a 5:30 am pick up to take me to the Palm Beach Airport. At 5:35 am, still no car had arrived, so I called the main number. They said they didn't know what had happened. They hardly spoke english and didn't seem to have written down my reservation. I called again. Apparently my taxi driver had "been pulled over for speeding by the police." So they sent someone else for me. Ordered a taxi in Boca--driver arrived about 5-6 minutes after I called! He was knowledgeable about the area, very polite and friendly. He was also a great driver! :) The people in office on the phone are courteous and know where most locations are albeit random. Less expensive than other taxi companies I have used in Boca as well. I directed my taxi driver a different way than he suggested we go as I thought my way might be shorter, but ended up being longer--he mentioned this to me and explained the shorter way to get where I was going for "next time". I was able to use my credit card, as well, which was quite convenient as I had no cash and was in a hurry. Thanks Yellow Cab! I would use this company again any day. read more

I called the yellow Cab at 4:00 pm to book a pick up @ 5:30 to a train station that is 10min away from my home to catch the train @6:08 to Fort Lauderdale Airport for my flight @9:25 pm. At 5:25 the taxi did not show up and I called again to find out that they did not dispatch a taxi and they had no recorded of my pick up also said they will try to get me one ASAP. I explained to her the situation but as if I am taking to a machine not a human being( maybe she was on drugs or something) Finally the taxi showed up at 6:02pm after several frantic calls, the driver was going very slow which to make sure to miss my train and tried to convince me to take me from west palm to Fort Lauderdale airport and he will negotiate a deal with me, when I refused he made sure to go even slower to stress me more.I Missed my train and I have to wait till the next one which I do not know yet if I will be able to catch the flight or not. It is a disgrace to this company and the stress they caused me beyond repair. My recommendation to any one DO NOT USE or trust this Company at all. We waited for approximately 20min in line for a cab from Palm Beach International. When I asked the dispatcher how long it would be for a cab, his response was "a bit". We continuously watched cabs go by without stopping, and it turned out that cabs were picking up passengers coming directly from baggage claim, and not picking up from the taxi stand. Once we finally got into a cab, we asked the driver if he took credit cards, and he said he did not. We tried to ask if other cabs in his company took credit cards, and his response was, "come on man, this is my last trip, I want to go home and go to bed." He did not give us the opportunity to get out of the cab, and began driving, saying he would take us to an ATM machine if we needed to. I called for a cab to take me to the airport two hours in advance. Three different drivers called, and I had to repeat the same information to each. None of them had a good command of English. The third one kept calling me to tell me he was on his way, but he was going in the wrong direction each time he called, and he didn't seem to understand my directions, or, apparently, the address to properly put in a GPS, if he even had one. I called Thursday, Sept 19th at 4:30pm to (pre-book) a cab for 5:30am the next morning to fly to see my son for 'date specific' custody visit and at 5:35am the next morning they weren't there, so I called. I asked where the cab was and they said, "We will send one." I called again at 5:50am and they said, "Do you know who booked your reservation? What's your address again? Ok, we will be there." At 6:05am, I called and explained the urgency that I'm disable and I need a taxi ASAP for a flight that they are making me late for/ or missing and he said, "Ok I will find out what's going on, let me call you right back." They never called back. I am extremely disappointed in this company. My 91 year old Grandmother wanted to go out to dinner. She does not drive and it was raining out, so we ordered a cab to pick us up and take us to dinner. Well, the cab NEVER showed up. We waited for over an hour, called back several times and still no cab. If you live in the Palm Beach area, DO NOT use this cab company.
