Currently at work, but I wanted to take a moment to write about my amazing experience at this coffee shop today. The caffeine kicks music is great and the chairs are comfortable, which is everything I look for when getting coffee. I pulled up on New Year's Day and the staff must have thought I wasn't sure about them being open. One of the girls went to the front window and turned on their neon sign which I thought was nice. The coffee is great! They have a ton of flavors and sizes to choose from which I appreciate. Ordered a latte,cold brew and smoothie. The atmosphere is really cute (vibey) and I wanted to linger and chill. 5 stars for sure. Would recommend and take guests to this local spot. read more

Had super high hopes for this cool looking spot, very solid spot for a nice cup of coffee, loved the vibe , as a customer, kinda felt like an after thought though. Took awhile to be acknowledged at the counter, once we were it was pretty cut and dry, not much friendly talk that I love from a local coffee shop, positive- my iced latte with oak milk and honey was really good. Wow!! Loved this place. Came here with my friends on our way out for a quick breakfast and was not disappointed. It was adorable and perfect if you wanted to get any last minute trip Instagram pictures! We all ordered different things, one of us got the seasonal chai, a smoothie, and a macchiato, all we gave a 10/10. The employees were also extremely kind and patient when looking through the menu. read more

I came into Yellow City Grind when they first opened and had a great experience. It's a nice clean well lit and friendly environment and I really enjoyed my coffee. The kolache I got was one of the best I've eaten in town. The girls were very helpful. I came back in a couple days ago with a coupon that gave me on my first visit and tried a Mocha Frappe which was absolutely delicious. I got there kind of late in the afternoon and they didn't have any pastries left, unfortunately so I was disappointed not to get to have another kolache. I look forward to going back again and highly recommend this coffee shop. Support local! read more

The coffee is always so good and they have plenty of sizes, including 44oz drinks people are usually very kind and professional, and they've never taken too long or anything. Love the place and the drinks, but I had poor service from a manager. She was rude and talked poorly about the customers with the drive through window wide open. I went to get a drink on a later date and the drive through took 10-15 minutes to serve one person. Had to leave because I couldn't wait 30-50 minutes to get a drink. Love the place, but needs better management and better speed at getting drinks done. read more

This is my absolutely FAVORITE coffee shop! The owner is a wonderful person and business owner. The employees are kind and helpful ... and I am there often enough that many of them know my name and specifics about my drinks ... those little things don't go unnoticed. They have a big menu so there is definitely something for everyone! The cake pops are delicious and bigger than any I have ever had anywhere and the cinnamon rolls are amazing! Their monthly special drinks are always fun! You definitely need to go try a thing or two there! read more

This is a newer coffee shop in Amarillo, but it quickly became my favorite. Everyone is so friendly and they take the time to talk and build relationships with their customers. The inside is fairly large for a coffee shop with an upstairs that is conducive for studying. The coffee is smooth, not bitter, and their selection of flavors is wonderful. The 32oz size is a plus! I love their caramel macchiato with toasted marshmallow cold foam on top. Amazing. I seriously can't say enough good things about Yellow City Grind. read more

I am a door dash driver and I just picked up an order that had two coffees in it. When I drove off with the order I noticed one of the lids was not on right and a quarter of the coffee had spilled out. I turned immediately back into the parking lot (as I pulled out onto the street is when I noticed, so I was gone all of 30 seconds). I went inside and asked if they could remake or fill the coffee and they refused and said they needed to be paid. The young girl whom I spoke with was extremely rude and acted like the quarter cup of coffee was going to come out of her pay check. I called door dash support and they placed me on hold while they spoke to the same person I spoke to in the coffee shop. Door dash representative gets back on the line and tells me that they paid for the one coffee to be replaced but they don't know why the shop decided they didn't want to remake the one coffee. So instead they were going to just refund the customer for the one drink. I let the girl in the coffee shop know I was leaving the cup that had spilled and asked if she can throw it away and she told me "there's no need to be ugly". I told her I wasn't being ugly that I was just trying to make sure the cup got thrown away and I was trying to get the customer what they had ordered. I wasn't ugly or rude at all but the fact that she responded with an attitude from the moment I walked in the door was uncalled for and very poor customer service. I didn't catch her name but she was the tallest young lady working this morning. Terrible customer service skills. Ive picked up coffee orders from other coffee shops and they're always so pleasant and some have even offered a water or coffee while I waited for the order. I don't expect a free drink at all but the minimum anyone should expect is a kind person working behind the cash register. A smile, or at the very least someone who doesn't hate their job. Good customer service is essential when running and growing a business. Do better Yellow City Grind. What a shame. read more

I recently visited this coffee shop and ordered drinks with some friends. As a kind young lady took my order, I overheard an employee berating another employee for something unimportant like making a drink iced instead of hot. Her tone made me extremely uncomfortable, but I just wanted to sit and chat with my friends, so I finished ordering and sat down. After I got my drink I got to chatting with my friends, but then I heard a sort of hushed commotion beside me. When I looked over, I saw an employee holding a pump for one of the flavorings that clearly had white mold on it! I ran to the restroom and almost vomited. Of course I left right afterward. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience and I wish I had not come at all. read more
