I wish I could give a negative star on this one but Yelp won't let me so for now, I'm giving it a one star. DONOT GO TO YELLOW RIBBON ALTERATIONS!!! My husband and I were looking for an alteration and found Yellow ribbon alterations. Well three weeks ago we went there with our pants. He had two jeans and I had 3 jeans 2 leggings. Well she told us to pick them up 7 days from the day we dropped them. Well we actually we forgot to pick them on Saturday so we decided to pick them on Monday. Well on Monday my husband went at around 3pm and they were close but the sign says their supposed to be open so he left. Went the very next day to find out that two of my pants(leggings) weren't even finished. So He went ahead picked up the three jeans. Brought them home and I tried them on and the lengths were off. One leg from each pants were slightly shorter than the other. It wasn't really noticeable not unless you really pay attention to them so I decided to keep them. Well the next day when he picked up my leggings like WTF!!! Do these people have any experience in alterations??? My pants( two leggings)were completely ruined. One of them is like 1" shorter than the other. And the other one was maybe 1/2" shorter. Took them the very next day which was on 9/30/2021 she told him to pick them up the next day. My husband went the next day and they were close during the hours that they were supposedly to be open. He went back on October 4 and my pants were still not ready. She then told my Husband to pick up the pants on Friday which was October 8. At around 12pm my husband shows up and the pants weren't ready and she to him to come back in an hour. He came back in an hour 1pm the pants were ready but one of them was still not cut correctly. She told him to verify the lengths and once he verify he noticed that one is shorter so he brought it to her attention she said that the fabric was elastic and that's the way it supposed to be. She told him that she has to see the pants worn in order to fix the problem. So now we have to go back for her to fix the pants and who knows how long it takes for her to fix my pants. read more

Horrible service the people do not know how to do alterations had mine crooked and it looked rushed 100% do not recommend it

This place has some really good customer service. We have had to a lot of last minute sewing for my husband recently and they've been really good about getting it done quickly. They even stay open well after closing so people can pick up. They're also less expensive than the other place a few blocks away on Fred Wilson. Parking is kind of sketchy if there are more than 5 people there so you may have to walk a bit if it's full, but it's an alterations shop. People get in and out pretty quickly, probably by the time you circle back around there would be a spot. read more

The great thing about this place is they'll do ur military alterations and also arrange ribbons etc. The bad thing is when u ask them to "rush" they are very inconsistent. They'll tell u to come in the morning, but when u do they tell u to come in th afternoon. Frustrating to say the least. But they have the monopoly on the ribbon ish so no choice! read more

Over the past few years I've take many suits (coat and trousers), slacks, and jeans here. They've taken in the waist of some of my suits coats for a better fit, taken in the waist of some of the trousers, extended the waist of some of the trousers, shortened the sleeves on some coats, and shortened the length of all my pants. The only reason I've give them 4 stars instead of 5 is that a particularly large order I brought on took 2 days longer than originally expected. I took a dress in for alterations (minor - nothing drastic) and after being told it would take a week, it took almost 3. Then, when I got the dress, although the sewing was flawless, there were 2 very obvious ink marks on it! When I asked for it to be fixed I was given a look like "we didn't do it" but told to the come back the next day. Three days later (after going in twice) I had to sit and wait for it to finally get done because it hadn't been started! I will not be returning... too bad because the seamstress work is very well done. read more

Very true your order will not be ready, even for a simple hemming job. (Gave her 10days & still had to come back twice) Also, she does not abide to her own posted business hours. Sign says 9am, yet her business is closed. read more

Horrible services. Horrible customer services. The lady that works there had poor manners and bad attitude. Plus my husband's uniform wasn't even ready when I had to pick it up. They need better services especially in manners. They are here to help and assist our troops, veterans or anyone else in the services, so need to clean up their attitude. read more

Yes, the job got done. BUT when I dropped of my pants for hem on Monday I was told it would be ready on Wednesday, which they were not. The lady asked me to come back in 30 minutes so I gave her 1hr to make sure she got it done. When I arrived at 345pm the place was closed even tho the sign said their hours were from 9-6pm. read more

The job got done, but the two names I needed embroidered were on the wrong scarf. I specifically said what name goes on each scarf. On top of that, when I pick up the sign says I will be back at 10:00am and it is 10:26am. Never getting anything done again there. What a disappointment in service and product. read more

I would def not recommend this place-If I could leave negative stars I would! find some where else to go. I have been there several times because of the location. Every time the price is not consistent and varies too much to be honest. This is the 3rd time I have dropped off an item and the date given is NOT ready on time. She hadn't even started my item the last 2 times- she told me to come back days later and when I arrived acted confused as to why I was there. You will have to sit there and wait if you want anything done- every time they ask you to come back it will NOT be ready!!!! read more

This is the second time I've been to this place! The first time they said they couldn't embroider a cap, this time I took in a piece of cloth to get a name embroidered on it, they did NOT have a font book for me to look at, I asked for about a 5" name, in cursive writing & gave them instructions to leave the fabric folded, they said that I could pick it up the next day did NOT give me a time. When I go back the next day after noon, they told me it wasn't ready to come back at 5pm, on our way back to try & pick it up at 5pm, I get a phone call telling me that they can't do the 5" lettering, they could only do 2.5" lettering,I explained that I was told I could pick it up at 5pm I was told to give them an extra 20 minutes. When I get there they have unfolded the fabric & was in the middle of putting the name on there a second time when I was asked to come back to look at it, I explain to them that is NOT what I had asked for & explained how I explained it the day before. I was NEVER told the day before that 5" was too big of a font until the day & time I was suppose to pick it up, they messed up my fabric, did NOT & could NOT replace my fabric & to make matters worse the font I got was NOT cursive!! I had to cut the fabric to make it work for my project!! I have 4 more piece of fabric to get done all for quilt projects the I will NOT be taking them there!!! They can NOT follow simple instructions!! read more

H O R R I B L E ! 1st and last visit. Came in on Saturday to get the Zipper on my assault pack (army book bag) fixed. The lady in the shop which is the owner, I'm assuming, told me the Zipper had to be replaced & it would be ready by Monday (today). Fine. I paid in advance so I could just pick it up and leave when it was time. I go back today and give some kid working in there my ticket. Now the fun starts. He goes to the back and I start hearing them speak Spanish amongst themselves. She finally comes to the front and says "it's not ready, can you come back tomorrow?" I tell her no so she says to give her 30 mins. Fine. So I come back again to wait 25 more mins than what she said, only for her to show me this rinky dink zipper, replacing the industrialized one I already had on there. The "broken" one was only off track but she mentioned a replacement of the old zipper w/a new one of the same quality. She says the industrialized zippers are hard to find but now so is my business. This place is a NO GO for me! Sad part is this was the first place GI Supply told me to hit up about my zipper cause they don't fix em. This is a poorly ran business. The whole family hangs out here, including the pets which has the entire store and your items smelling horrible. You can discuss a pickup date, but don't hold your hopes on it. The seamstress provided me a pick-up date for my items, and when I arrived to retrieved my items they weren't ready. I was then asked to return the following morning and was provided a number of excuses as to why my alterations weren't complete and asked to return that evening. When I returned for my garments she stood at the counter and asked me how could she help me & where's my ticket. I couldn't believe how unprofessional this woman was. This business has no respect for other people's time! So save yourself the frustration, find somewhere else to get your alterations done. It will be worth the time, cost, and effort. read more
