We rented Larky Lodge from Yellow Rose Realty from 6/29-7/6 of this year. First of all I want to start by saying the location was beautiful. Hence the one star. Also want to say that we have our own vacation rental in the Outer Banks and are very aware of some of the issues that come up while guests are in the house. Therefore we try to handle any where we rent with the same respect and care that we hope someone does to our place. Unfortunately this Cabin started out bad from the beginning. When we got there and opened up the place there was a distinct smell. So we thought-ok its been closed up for awhile lets get doors and windows open get air flow in. My husband does Commercial HVAC so he said-let me check the AC units. Everyone one of them was full of black mold. So bad in fact we headed back down the mountain and bought cleaning supplies. He spent the first four hours of vacation cleaning them out. Then there was the dried dog feces upstairs the mouse feces in the dishes the DVD player which doesn't work the VHS tapes everywhere with no VCR and finally the Directv which doesn't work either. Oh and one more thing-the shower upstairs leaks into the Master Bedroom downstairs and the downstairs bathroom is full of mold on the ceiling as well. That was two more things. Anyway I placed a call to Yellow Rose the next day and let them know the situation. Explained to them everything-black mold, leakage, turds, TV, turds, etc etc..They asked if we wanted a plumber and said they would send out a tech for the AC. She also said she was going to text or email me when someone was coming out. And stated she would talk to her manager about a credit. Never got a text never got an email-we had already done most of the cleanup so not sure if anyone ever came out as we weren't at the Cabin a good bit of the time. We were really disappointed how this was handled and hope they can remedy some of this-especially a Cabin which is really a health hazard! Pictures attached pre cleaning of mold- read more

We really enjoyed our stay in Bryson City . However, our stay in the Cozy Cabin by the creek from the Yellow Rose Reality and Cabin rentals was not up to par! When we first got there we realized that the floors were so dirty we had to wash our feet again before going to bed. Then the toilet would not flush and fill back up for a while and it leaked at the bottom so much we had to put a towel around it. Then we washed our clothes and it leaked around bottom of washer. The closet in bedroom was full of junk and no hangers so had to leave clothes in chest of drawers. There was an extra chiffrobe but it was locked. We called the office and they sent someone out to fix toilet but they didn't. The faucets in sink and tub had dripped until both looked so nasty from iron residue that before I would bathe in tub we bought cleaner and scrub pad and cleaned them both. Even after telling person at office all of this he didn't apologize nor offer any type of refund or discount. Needless to say, we won't use this company again! Such a shame it was a cute little cabin and being right beside the stream it would have been super if all these things had been checked out before we ever got there! read more

Run away from this dump! We rented Deep Creek Cabin unit 3. We are not happy with the cabin. The kitchen table legs look and feel like they will fall apart. The toilet seat is broke on one side. The lights in the bathroom well there is a part of a broken bulb which is not safe. There are no lights over the kitchen sink the outlets are empty. And the carpet and sofa are beyond disgusting dirty. They said "we hate hearing this" my guess is the heard it often. Don't know how this slipped past housekeeping or property manager. read more

for our time. Things r messed up here . . Heaters are so nasty to afraid to us. Only one usable is bath room . Been really cold only 38 today . No wood for a fire but afraid to us that chimney looks dirty . Was looking for an email back or even a call have called several times and nothing back . The mildew smell is still a full even after cooking and cleaning on my own .need a good vacuum. Watched ur cleaning lady in a cabin next to me for 15 min and brought her kid to work . Another cabin people checked out and still hasn't been cleaned .. Disappointed sence I got here the worst is the mold and mildew smell and sight than all the worms everywhere spiders and webs in every door and a live wasp in thw bathroom and there is this camera pointed right at the cabin we rented i am so sixk right now this is awfull just woke from the crappiest night my throat is so sore now from. Breathing in mold all night bed is God awfull u r sleeping on springs . No fire wood no usable grill so travelers uvhave to bring everything and the cook wear is ver poor quality. I'm just so dressed now can't afford a different hotel . Paid 650 for this and 225 $ of it is a cleaning deposit hahah this place hasn't been. Cleaned in months. So happy birthday to me and very stupid couple get away. Wont even dare to use aminitied like grill fire pit fire place ac or heater . Also fridge is taking a crap its so loud no light the could is well over 50 years old cant evn cuddle and watch tv. I feel a little bit like a traitor, however I am so thrilled that I found Yellow Rose Realty. I have a deep rooted loyalty to a different company in town, however, I was recently in town for the Fourth of July and they were booked solid so I gave them a call. I spoke with an amazing lady who answered all the questions including screens on windows and size of a grill, for a home they have called Camp Shelia. The home was a little dated, however very comfortable for our group, complete with grill, beautiful interior, and a breathtaking view of the ridge surrounding Bryson City. The road up to the cabin is gravel and muddy but my volvo had no issues getting up to the home, easy check in, quiet quaint home that was easy to call home for the weekend! Give them a shot, they know the area and I was glad to have found them for our trip to Bryson City. read more

The cabin and Jacuzzi was lovely but.. the road up to the cabin was scary to say the least I am from the mountains and I love Jeep 4 wheeling. This road was too narrow for a vehicle to drive safely and if you had met someone that would have been horrible. I would have loved a video of Road prior it would have changed me and my family staying there. The Cabin was nice and staff was great just the road to complain about. read more

Made a spur of the moment trip and contacted this realty co for cabin rentals. They were able to put us up in a cabin called "Creek & A View". This company does offer military discounts which is super awesome for military families like ours. It's always appreciative to see businesses who support our military. The roads to the cabin are narrow so if you plan on traveling make sure to travel SUV or all ALL wheel drive type vehicle. The cabin was as describe on the website, clean and luxurious. There was a couple of down-fall for my family of six. The wifi signal was very weak and wasn't able to support all of our devices that we brought, which were five cellphones, and a laptop and a tablet. Wifi connection through the place was poor unless you were standing directly in front the router. Living room has a great pool table to keep the children busy. They provided (1) laundry pod to wash clothing with. Hot tub outside was awesome, I didn't like the park style grill outside nor the small fire pit. I think that could've been upgraded to something bigger. There wasn't firewood already stacked for burning either which was unusual most cabins provide that for you. Over-all experience was decent. Nice quiet and relaxing! There's also a small waterfall nearby to hike with the fam. Probably won't be renting this same cabin but, will defiantly continue to use this company! They have many properties they will fit our needs and I will also plan better for the next go round. read more

We booked Battle Cottage through Yellow Rose Realty over July 4th weekend. There were three couples staying in the cabin so we booked 3 bed 3 bath. Not impressed. It was a cute house but there were problems that should have been checked and fixed before it was rented out. The toilet did not work in one of the bathrooms, the icemaker did not work, the handle was broken off of the freezer door, lightbulbs were out in many of the ceiling fixtures, the hot tub area was filthy, no coffeemaker, and I saw a mouse run behind the fridge when I turned on the light one night. I called about the toilet and was told they would try to get someone out to fix it, didn't happen. When I called after the weekend was over I was told they were very sorry for the inconvenience. It's a cute little house but not well kept up. We go to the Nantahala a few times a year and we had a good time anyway, don't spend a lot of time inside, but I doubt I will use them again. read more
