Amazing campground. Very family and pet friendly. Excellent staff and well maintained sites. Much better, in my opinion, than the KOA up the road. We had the park almost to ourselves (the week following Memorial Day) and even with that all of the "little things" were still there. Movies for the kids, the "Hey-Hey" ride, everything. Highly recommend!

The Wi-Fi was nonexistent. The bathrooms were dirty and in some cases the showers were unworkable. Very disappointed!

We would have loved to have stayed longer but we considered ourselves lucky to get a room at all during the peak Fall season. We stayed in Room 9 which is on the third floor loft with an interesting pitched ceiling but no windows. The room was great for afternoon napping and it was just footsteps away from the rooftop deck. For a longer stay we would have probably preferred a room on the second floor with windows. I love American history, architecture and Americana so staying in this old circa 1904 bank was fabulous. We even took a peak at the old bank vault that is now used as a wine cellar and pantry inside the restaurant. The hotel staff here is top notch. Everyone was so welcoming and I appreciate that the hotel called before our stay to see if we wanted to make a reservation in The Bistro. The Bistro is a small, quaint, refined restaurant that books full for its dinner service so it's nice that they make sure hotel guests have an opportunity to book first. Our dinner in the Bistro was fabulous - I had the filet while my husband had the Ettouffee. We also had breakfast at The Bistro the following morning which was also very good. In addition to the five-star staff and cozy room, we loved the location of The Everett Hotel. It was walking distance to everything in town including shops, restaurants and the train station. It was also a short drive to Smoky Mountain National Park. As an added bonus, it is right next door to the Swain County Heritage Museum. We were conveniently able to park behind the hotel. Other conveniences we appreciated were the filtered water and coffee in the hallway. A special shoutout to Daniel who made us feel so welcomed.

The service desk was very helpful, and as a newcomer, I received a $25 table coupon, which was a nice bonus. The food court had several fast food options--quick, convenient, and satisfying between games. Roulette is my go-to, and luckily, I had a good run and even won some money, which definitely made the trip more fun. Overall, it's a solid casino experience with good service and a comfortable atmosphere. It may not have the scale or energy of Las Vegas, but it's still a great spot for a fun getaway.

Called front desk who was not the least bit concerned about the security breach and offered to have someone meet us at our new room. No mention of moving our bags or how we were to get to our new room cause the elevators are all key activated. Took 90 minutes to get settled into our new room after a manager stepped in. Room was ok, fairly clean. The food choices for a real restaurant were limited. A kiosk driven ordering area does cover all the food court places and clearly works better than the check-in kiosks. Food was pretty good. Tomorrow will be contacting the hotel to get the $50 credit I was to have received for the check in fiasco. All in all a frustrating experience and I won't be back

It is…read morelocated in Cherokee where everything is pretty expensive (water, good, activities) and part of the tourist trap. The hotel is one of the better options available in Cherokee for tourists and is decent to crash for a few days. If you check in at midnight, be prepared to wait for a good 30 minutes to be let in as the front door staff won't be immediately available. As for our room, it was clean, well-spaced and great for a holiday. Staff could improve on customer service but we didn't care much as we had a lot of outdoor activities planned during our stay. Complimentary breakfast was a big disappointment as nothing was made-to-order and we had to eat the same ready-to-eat food. Important note: There isn't much wifi connectivity in Cherokee except at this hotel and a few other spots, so that's something to consider while visiting Cherokee.

I even tried to look over to see if he was playing a game on the computer. Also... They don't use the POS system for incidentals and the people who work here barely understand English. So they take your card and punch it in manually but don't really know what they're doing. I had booked through Expedia but since he had my card and put it in manually, I looked at my credit card statement and saw I was charged twice (one Expedia and one directly through hotel). So... I went to front desk and he had me talk to manager on his phone. The manager told me it was for incidentals, but incidental holds are usually for $1 until cleared. The manager even got mad at me. He is the type to defend his employees and get mad at customers. When I called my CC company, they confirmed I was indeed charged twice but one was being returned by the hotel. This is a clean hotel but they are inexperienced with your money, and the manager is rude and lied. After staying here for almost a decade when visiting Cherokee, I will not stay here anymore. The previous owners did a much better job. If you want to avoid credit card drama, I strongly advise staying somewhere else.
